Lando Griffin,
but seriously....Billy Dee and Harrison.
Jeremy Bulloch nuanced performance, was incredible. his subtle movements and onscreen demeanor
are some of the reasons we r having this conversation.
Harrison Ford by far. Not just because he is one of the only ones to survive the series without a stereotypical role, but because he is an amazing actor. Without him, I don't know if episode 4 would have been as successful. Plus, nothing will ever beat his improv frantic "Everything's fine, we're all fine... how are you?"

I happen to be one of those people. I think his acting was horrendous. He resembled an angry child who wants a toy more than a soon-to-be Sith lord.
Harrison Ford by far. . Plus, nothing will ever beat his improv frantic "Everything's fine, we're all fine... how are you?"
i agree, w/out Harrison Ford- the original trilogy could have been really flat. Some of Harrisons improvs have been cinematic gold.
leia in ESB: "i love you"
Harrisons improv: "I know."
i think the prequels needed a scoundrel character- obi wan was sort of that role but nothing close to Solo or Lando.
For me it is Harrison Ford, Alec Guinness and Ewan McGregor.
Temuera Morrison all the way, Then Harrison.
by the way Jesse fett can we pleasee make peace and stop abuse
definitely the OT cast. Guiness, Cushing, Ford, Prowse, Williams, all them. out of the PT, Lee, McDiarmid (you can't really judge him based on the original trilogy, cuz he was only in one movie), Neeson, Jackson.

Maybe, maybe not. Please give a reason why you think what I said was racist? I do not take being called a racist very lightly. There was no abuse, there was retaliation!

Not the place for this, use PMs or take it up on the b-ball court.
For me it is Harrison Ford, Alec Guinness and Ewan McGregor.
I'll second that! ;)

Fetterthanyou already covered this... This is definitely NOT the place to be having this conversation. Do it over private messages.

Very true, especially the part about the new trilogy needing a 'Solo-esk' character. I think we saw in the new trilogy what the old one might have looked like without Ford/Solo.
For the new Trilogy I got to go with:
Neeson *Qui-Gon* *Love his acting style and pressence, his role in Kindom of Heavon was great, if short*
McGregor
Lee
and Temuera Morrison, both for his acting as Jango and his voice work and acting for the clones
In the Old Trilogy:
Harrison Ford
James Earl Jones
Mark Hamill *a little whinny at times and a little TOO crushed when he found out Vader was his father, but otherwise pretty good job*
Guiness
and of course Jeremy :)
I knew I would miss some. I always get reminded of others that are really funky.
Here are some others that I think are excellent:
James Earl Jones
Peter Cushing
Billy Dee Williams
Samuel L Jackson
Christopher Lee
Ian MacDiarmid
Liam Neeson
Jeremy Bulloch (anyone who can turn a character that was supposed to be incidental into what he is now is great :D )
Mark Hamill *a little whinny at times and a little TOO crushed when he found out Vader was his father, but otherwise pretty good job*
Can anyone be TOO crushed that Darth Vader was their father? lol

true, i mean you just find out that the ultimate galactic evil is your daddy who can blame him, how would you take it
i might have to give him a hug. only had he not cut off my hand before i found out. and if anyone has seen Christopher Lee and Peter Cushing's old horror movies from the 30s-70s (Lee was usually the monster and Cushing the hero), then you rock (like i do). lucky me, i have a tv channel that plays horror movies all day and they come on every now and then.

very well then, let our little discrepancies be forgotten and move on.
My big three are Harrison Ford, Jeremy Buloch, and David Prowse they were all so convincing.
everyone seems to say harison ford
(that is just an observation, not insulting your perspective)
That would be David Prowse. Methinks.
Yeah, but dont forget the other half of Vader, who did a great job. James Earl Jones
1.Harrison Ford
2.Peter Mayhew,Chewie RULZ!!!
3.Ian MacDiamind
4.Samuel L. Jackson
Frank Oz as Yoda in the OT... I can still watch that flick and be convinced that he's not a puppet. Now that was a performance!
And of course, Temeura Morrison. "Always a pleasure to meet a Jedi." Man, that guy was cool!
I think the guy that portrayed Chewbacca was pretty cool.
In real life he was 7 foot 8.
James Earl Jones's commanding voice was really good. But Harrison Ford was the subtle character who pushed the story along with his good humor.
Vader's body.
YOU SICK MAN
soory, nothing personall, just had to say that.
i thought random stormtrooper number 1196 was very good, even though he gots shot in his first scene..
just a joke
Or the Stormtrooper that's like, "Look sir, droids!" Admirable performance.
I'm ROTF. :/
Wicket's actor is great too. Only thing is that I can't remember his name. :D
Harrison Ford hands down
Chrisopher Lee did awesome, but Harrison Ford was awesome, so were James Earl Jones and David Prowse and all his stunt doubles
Harrison Ford by far. Not just because he is one of the only ones to survive the series without a stereotypical role, but because he is an amazing actor. i agree with everything you said.
that was one of my favorite lines ever.
The chimp who was originally used for Palpatine's eyes.
The chimp who was originally used for Palpatine's eyes.
Chimp? You mean chump? Or do you seriously mean chimp?
When the movies first came out, they used a picture of a chimp for the top of Palpatine's face.
yeah thats really creepy.
It has to be Ford, even Peter Griffin agrees.
Close after him is all the special effects puppets form Jabba to the Sarlacc. I know it is more than one, but how amazing were they all?
James Earl Jones voice, it made III perfect.
Fischer and Portman, thanks for all the beauty you brought to the galaxy far far away... With looks like their's they didn't need to be able to act, but Fisher was so good as Leia, she makes imagining her in the books so easy.
Jackson plays the same role form afro sporting hitman, McDonnel's gunman (Coming to America), Shaft to Mace, but you have to love that bald beautiful black man , such force and anger, so cool. He may be John Shaft with a purple light saber, but he makes it so cool.
Still love Chewie as a furry man myself. His ability to accept himself in a world that frowns on excess body hair has encouraged me to head back to the pool.
I'm ROTF. :/
Wicket's actor is great too. Only thing is that I can't remember his name. :D
Warwick Davis FYI.
Dang! Faster than I with that little bit of trivia.
Lets see.... I like Ewan McGreggor, personally was the best. Harrison Ford very good too. Both roles had their sarcasm and that works for me.
I give props out to, Peter Mayhew, David Prowse, and Jeremy Bulloch because they acted so well with just their physical selves. Minimal dialog at best (on screen performances, because Peter and David actually were saying lines during principal photography, its funny to watch) with encasing costumes made it a real challenge and they made the movies.
I didn't read through all the posted, but did anyone say Sir. Alec Guinness? I mean the guy was a knight! That is sweet. Also I like Lucas in ep3 lol. He is in the opera house for about .2 seconds.
Mine are:
1.David Prowse.
2.Samuel L. Jackson
3.Harrison Ford
