I do wish Hilary had won. *sigh* I guess this means I'll be voting for McCain in order to keep Obama out.

I want McCain to win, but I would have prefered Hillary to Obama.

As we know from the topic Republican or Democrat, which is now closed, BFFC attracts a pretty equal balance of Republicans and Democrats.

On the boards, it's our stance to remain neutral, especially with political. The boards, especially the Fans forum, are meant to connect fans on their similarities rather than differences.

That said, let's focus on the positive.

Sorry, but I just wish I COULD see a positive in this election......

I personally think BOTH McCain AND Obama are bad for this country, possibilly VERY bad.  I think McCain is probably the lesser of the two evils, but that`s not something that makes me very cheery.......

I quite agree.

I don't want to get into any fights or anything so I normally stay silent on topics like this. So I'm probably gonna back out now.

Unfortunately, that won't be for 5 years when all soldiers are gone. At least it isn't as bad as Hillary Clinton saying she'll bring them home the next day (load of bollocks, that is). Plus, Obama has no real experience. He's been a senator for only a few years. That's it.

OK...

Let's clear the slate and all of this opinion, hearsay, and subjectivity with some research, facts, and objectivity so people have information:

I thought many of you guys were too young to offically vote anyway. In the US. The voting age is 18.

( which brings up the what age can you do things debate in my mind... like you can be 18 to vote. 17 to drive (sorta) 19 to smoke, 18 to fight and die for your country, BUT 21 to drink  and 25 (!) to rent a car. Does this make sense? To me... no.)

Meat is murder...... tasty tasty murder.

Si Titran, it's a pretty wide demographic here. Sure, some of the chatty members are young, but many are over 18, many are voters, many are educated. :) Boba Fett brings out a mix.

I unfortunately cant vote, however I can make my opinion known, and perhaps change some minds, not that I'm going to actively try to do that. But if someone hears someone else's point of view their may change

so it's official! Barack Obama, the Democraptic candidate, has chosen Joe Biden as his running mate. had he chosen Edwards, i would've disliked him even more. http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/veepstakes

August 23, 2008 12:35 am #

I think it would have been stupid to choose Edwards at the time considering the scandal surrounding him.

I don't even live in America but i would rather McCain got in over Obama.

Obama seems to wishy-washy. He can't get a straight answer on anything.

And Republicans are who i ussually would go for.

I know, wierd for a 12 year old to know much about politics.

So McCain has chosen Sarah Palin (no relation to Michael Palin, but that would be cool), http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080829/ap_on_el_pr/cvn_veepstakes_palin

From how you summed up both, I don't think you know much about politics. Don't give up learning, though.

That Joe Biden guy lives close to me.

September 9, 2008 2:09 pm #

If he was running for president and if I was old enough to vote, I would vote for him. but right know sence Obama is running for the demacrats I am republican.

September 9, 2008 4:57 pm #

I have been morally opposed to John McCain for as long as I can remember...

he's a media darling oh gets his kicks being called a 'Maverick,' a nick-name he earned by flipping off the Republican party and conservatives *no, not literally.*  He's been behind several hairbrained, Left wing proposels and bills that made the New York Times swoon, but hasn't done much for his image with the people he's now begging for votes.

I never, Ever, thought I'd sink low enough to vote for him...  I only now plan to so because:

#1. Governor Palin who he chose as his VP SEEMS to be a genuine conservative who I wish was running in his place *and at John's age..... ;) *

#2. He's conservative *or claims to be...i don't trust any politions anymore* on enough issues that he's better then most on the left *in mho*

#3. and most of all, Obama is just.............. I can only sum it up by saying he's either at Best a know nothing do-gooder who will probably get rail roaded into doing whatever his party/advisors tell him to do, or at worst.......who knows
