Topic: Finnish shooting (sad story)

Have you guys on the other side of the Atlantic heard about this?

Some people are really weird, I still wonder how could this happened. I always thought this kind of thing happens in Chicago and only in Chicago, but still it happened here in such a small country! That sick freak even uploaded a video about himself planning the shooting or something to YouTube! I'm not going to watch the video, though... I've heard enough already.

I don't live close to the place where this shooting took place, but still... It happened in Finland...

Terron you must have heard about this, right? What do you think?

Aha so you haven't heard. Someone went around shooting random people and then shot himself in the head (that was hard saying in English, sorry).

  You forgot to mention: The shooting got place in a school in a kinda small town.

  Of course I've heard... You know, everybody talks about it. Less surprising, at school also.
I personally was born in the town the shooting took place... but I haven't been there for six years.

  Finnish schools were known for their Safeness! And now...
All my classmates didn't even come to school because of this!
  Personally, I'm not afraid. I guess this won't happen again too soon. Or hopefully never again.

The 'gunman's (above) name was Pekka-Eric Auvinen.

Everyone does, for sure. But you make it sound like you knew some of the people... ?

This is awful, the shooter does sound like a hateful nut job. How ironic this shooting would take in one of the world's safest schools.

And Terron, no I don't know any of the victims, it's just that I feel those deaths were unnecessary, and if someone would have noticed that this Pekka-Eric was crazy... I heard he was planning about two weeks before the seventh of November, so maybe his friends or relatives could have done something...

Yes, true. He got his gun two weeks earlier, so the planning had to start before that...
The relatives say he was quite normal - Pekka was speaking with her girlfriend one day before the shooting.
And she noticed nothing unusual in his behavior.

So he was quite an actor or just very cold-headed.
