I noticed an interesting link between episodes I and III. In episode I, right after Qui-Gon fought Darth Maul for the first time, Anakin asks Qui-Gon, "What should we do?" Qui-Gon responds, "We must have patience."

Then as you may remember, in episode III, when Obi-Wan asks Anakin what they should do, he responds in the same way. "I say patience."

Interesting link, won't you say?

That's cool!! I like trying to find connections like that but I never found that one before. I like it, and I think you're right.

Did Anakin and Qui-gon really spend that much time together?

Not really, but Qui-Gon was a big influence on him even for as little time as they spent together. And it's logical that it would be so. Cause imagine it.... You're living with only your mom and dreams. Working as a slave. Only dreaming about being a Jedi about saving people and going off having adventures. Then one day there comes a Jedi who takes you away so you can do what you want. I think it would leave life-long memories and impressions.

Yeah, Anakin looked up to Qui-Gon. Had Qui-Gon not of died, Qui-Gon would have trained Anakin instead of Obi-Wan, and possibly not have turned to the dark side. The thing was, Obi-Wan was extremely young when he began to train Anakin. Anakin also hardly knew Obi-Wan, and the only reason Obi-Wan took on his training was because of Qui-Gon's wishes.

i think Qui-Gon did leave that impact on young anakin which later helped him out....and gave him wisdom......i wonder if obi-wan ever realized and qui-gon characteristics in anakin's behavior.....other than in this instance....something to look into.
