So, my friend and I don't think George is relly "cool" or any thing, I mean why kill off Boba Fett?, Why make the stormtroopers so sucky?, I mean all of the really "coll" things about the star wars universe are the books and other EU (expanded universe) stuff
what do you all think?

I have a question: Why create Jango, or the prequel trilogy in general?
he wrote all of the original trilogy movies before putting them out and then changed 1 to 4 and then had prequals. that's the facts
I think it was the whole Darth Vader thing, he releases 4, 5, and 6 with Darth Vader and then everyone wonders who he is so he tells them in 1, 2, and 3, it kinda keeps the suspense as Anakin's story story unfolds. And of course everyone knows he's Darth Vader.

I am quite aware of that. I would be rather surprised if anyone on this particular forum was not aware of that fact.
the reason why he had Jango is cuz he started with Darth Vader and then Boba Fett became almost as popular and he decicided to reavel how Boba came around as well.
back to the stormtroopers though, seriously in tales from the Empire they created a totally laser-proof armor fo them, too bad it was destroyed, and they seem to have better tactics in the book and in the movies they just die.
I know, it's so stupid. Stormtroopers are wearing FULL body armor, and they get taken down by sporting blaster pistols!! (by Leia, twice!)
finally somebody else besides us 2, everyone else I know likes the rebellian and they say the're glad the're so easy to kill. Also it doesn't make sense to have the stormtroopers just stand there and get shot and the clone troopers so cool and smart cuz some of the stormtroopers are clones themselves.
And my friend read somewhere that George ment to kill off Boba Fett then realized he was so popular and approved that he came out of the Saarlac.
Oh yea, he was going to add Boba crawling out of the Sarlacc for it's re-release in '03, but nooooooooo, he thought it would distract viewers from the main plot. Stupid. Stupid. Stupid. Stupid. AND on BF2 The Darktroopers have the weakest armor out of all the playable characters. DARKTROOPERS ARE NEAR INDESTRUCTABLE DROIDS!!!!!
What??! that's lame, it wouldn' distract me. Allthough, the story in Tales from Jabba's Palace is cooler than him crawling out.
If you have the 2003 re-release, watch ROTJ with the commentary.
Lucas never intended to have Fett crawl out. He just wanted to appese the fans. Lucas does not like Fett.
I knew it I knew he didn't like Fett.
and if you mean the DVD's then yes I do I also own 2 of the video releases original and modified.

Yeah, he laughs like a maniac when Jango dies ( listen to the commentary). I think Jango's death was almost a way for him to get back at Boba from distracting everyone from the characters HE likes ( Luke, leia, han, etc., and also for coming back from the sarlacc when he had originally intended him to die.
Don't most evil legions lack the ability to shoot anyway? I mean, it's no different from the evil minions featured in any action/sci-fi movie. This is an orginization where the guy who falls on his knees and accidentally shoots the target is a sharp shooter. Just another cliche.(pardon the lacking accent)
I don't mind George that much, until he decideds to change something for the worse.

George have no problem with Boba surviving and I don't think George hates Boba or Jango, he only meant them to be evil, while in the books they are independent.
The Empire doesn't rely on their troopers to win battles, I think the Empire relies on overwhelming vehicular power to crush their enemies. Most stormtroopers are like cops or investigators (look in ANH) or maybe search teams, while the Republic's clone troopers are soldiers bred for fighting.
Well, that's what I think.
Everyone should check out this movie. Too bad only chapter 1's ready.
Then why did Lucas not add Boba crawling out? It would only take a second, and Boba holding Jango's helmet in Episode II would be more distracting.
There are 2 reasons he didn't add him crawling out.
1. He probably didn't want to piss off all of the already pissed Boba fans who believe in the sarlac escape detailed in the books.
2. There's no need. Anyone who cares enough about it to know, already should know he gets out later on.
And the Jango helmet scene is meant to be touching, it shows clones have feelings, it shows what Boba comes from.
Hail to the King Baby!!
Yeah, that's the other thing George tries to make the movies romantic and stuff but fails and all of that stuff is what makes the movies bad.
Also The Cloner if he meant them to be more like cops then he wouldn't put them in as the Emporers main military soldiers. He makes the Emporer seem so smart but still the stormtroopers are the main military soldier even George would think that the Emporer would replace them or their armor once he saw how bad they just die in all of the battles and even against one sporting blaster. Same with the droids why not make the military leaders actually as smart with the military instead of just with one person.
Also, Lord Revan George said if he knew how popular Boba Fett was supposed to be then he might've added him climbing out of the saarlac or something. He had no intention in doing so whatsoever he's just a no good Jedi-loving Mando-hater

General Note - Please keep questions clear and organized, either by one-per-topic or by numbering. It's easier to follow and stay on a topic. Thanks.

Maybe Lucas didn't spent time on the crawling out of the Sarlaac scene because it would have been difficult to do and make look cool and believable in a short scene, and it would have made the Saga look incomplete.
Plus expanding on Fett's back story with Jango and the Clones made him a more important part of the saga and left room open for a...Dut Duhdadah! Live Action TV Series!
*sigh* I don't know. It seems popular theory that everyone's pissed off at Lucas, but it is his story, and I know I'd be royally pissed if someone came and tried to change any of mine. I'm just glad he came up with the whole idea in the first place.
We shouldn't be pissed at George, after all he's the one who created the galaxy we know from Star Wars and everything in it. And the movies are good because George is good at working on them, George's a nice guy.
I think George is "cool" but he seems to love the jedi a bit too much...

The people at Lucasarts love the jedi too much I'll tell you what! Force Pull is the cheapest, ( insert word here)est thing ever!
Yeah, you are right, but that's Lucasarts. Escape from Monkey Island, Star Wars Battlefront, Bounty Hunter and so on.
Wait I thought we were talking about the movies.

Everyone's in love with the Jedi cuz George in love with them and that's what he makes lokk "cool" in the movies.
But your right we shouldn't be pissed off at George but just some things about him is just... just... UGGHH!
What do you mean he is in love with the Jedi they are suposed to be the "hero's" he cant exactly have them dropping dead everywhere.
I think, therfore i am I destroy, therfore i endure - IG-88 tales of the bounty hunters
Actually he had them drop dead...
I meant the movies seem to be all about the jedi and the sith, not about the Empire and the Rebel Alliance. Well, atleast that's what I thought after watching the Empire strikes back. I think Han Solo, Chewbacca and Boba Fett are much better characters, better than any jedi or sith lord. I don't see why people like the jedi so much (actually I like Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan, but they were the only jedi I liked)...

You mean like that the end of episode 3? and in the arena in episode 2?

Not like I don't dig Boba and all, but guys, come on: The Flanneled One is the creator of the Saga, and without him, and his maniacal plot to take over moviemaking and have his way with his films, there would be no Boba Fett.
True, he had no plans for Fett to survive the Sarlaac, but in the end, we fans had our way, and George gave us the nod, including Fett in EU.
Doesn't he at least deserve props for that?

Yeah, true I'm just saying why? why have the Empire just die why have Boba just die it seems like the only reason whhe created Star Wars is because of the Jedi, not even the sith have as much recognition as the jedi. Not that I hate the Jedi Obi-Wan is awesome but why?
Generally, the public prefers the protagonists to be featured and we all know Lucas loves Jedi.

Everything would still be good if Star Wars and Boba Fett didn't exist.

I disagree, Star Wars is the basis for all moral society.
Hail to the King Baby!!
Plus without Lucas we'd have to deal with dull special effects.
