December 13, 2014 7:31 pm # Hey gang,
Came across this product review on the Lego UCS facebook fan page....

I will admit I haven't picked up a Lego Slave-1 since the first one, kit # 7144, and I have the Boba Fett Lego wristwatch, but can someone enlighten me as to why they keep using the Jango Geonosis jetpack as the model for these? Otherwise the ship looks beautiful. Definitely picking up at least 1...

Already a review and it's not officially released until January? Those lucky reviewers at Brickset really using their media badge for that one!
(Note to self: contact someone at LEGO's Community Engagement and Events...)

Each change up seemed to be mediocre at best. It's nice that this one is a huge difference.

Good point of trivia there. Maybe there's pressure to recycle what's close enough for some of their process, rather than every set getting an unlimited amount of variable pieces? Or maybe someone on staff has some outdated/inaccurate reference photos?
(Reminds me of Hallmark's Christmas ornament had an upside down skull emblem, or the whole POTF2 dot-and-no-dot gloves, or other things like that.)

Favorite Star Wars character: Boba. (Well, duh!)
And no, I do not have disney plus. I have to have everything spoiled for me. :(
