Topic: Captain America Director Interested In Making Boba Fett Movie

Director of the Captain America film is apparently interested in making a movie about our favorite bounty hunter, Boba Fett.

From the article:

Towards the end of our conversation I asked Johnston if his former boss and mentor, George Lucas, had seen the film. The director gave us this somewhat surprising and thoroughly intriguing response:

    “You know if he wants to see it, I would show it to him. I’m trying to get George to make a feature based on Boba Fett.”

Um... really? Hasn't his enigma status been tarnished enough?

But I dunno, what do you think? Would you support a Fett feature film, or out right object it? Discuss.

I think a feature film based on something like the bounty hunter wars with Boba Fett and an ensemble of other hunters would be incredible, and a lot of fun. Having a full movie centered around a character that is supposed to be mysterious would be difficult and possibly quite painful. Let's hope it takes a few years so that I can get to Hollywood before it happens so I can get involved ;)

That's kinda interesting, I'm not sure if I'd necessarily want a Boba Fett movie though, they'd have to go about it really well. On the other hand though I haven't seen Captain America yet but it's supposed to be pretty solid so the director could do a pretty good job of it, and just having a new Star Wars movie in general would be pretty cool.

I think it could work well but only if the director and writers really know what they're doing and keep the number of scenes with his helmet off(if any) very small. We need to keep some mystery if the movie is to be a success.

I don't think he'd work as a main character. Secondary, seldom-speaking character, yes.

I agree. As much as we love Fett, SW isn't really about him. He's only become as large as he is thanks to his massive fan following. He could have easily never been discussed again after RotJ if no one had taken an interest in his character. =P

According to /FILM today:

On the subject of a potential Joe Johnston Boba Fett movie, McCallum made it clear the possibility of George Lucas letting that happen were slim to none. That means “never say never” but it’s not likely. Same goes for a full on Star Wars theme park.

It could be a great idea for Captain America.I think the mistry , the thriller and also the lyrics will be better and also will be accepted for all.

As much as I love Boba, I don't think this will ever happen. I would personally love to see more film about his history, especially about how he GOT to the top. =3 Maybe a bit about Sintas and Ailyn in there, too.

The poster's a fake. Fan-made, I think. Still a lovely job, though. xP

If ever the movie would be made the fans would be in rage. It would be a box office even before it hits the big screen.
