Topic: Darth Vader vs Darth Maul?

I pick Vader hands down.

 
                         Who do you think would win?

Darth Maul. Darth Vader is too slow, and Vader's combat is hambered by that stupid suit.

If Vader was fighting Maul without the suit, He would destroy him.

But Vader would die without his suit on, like he did in ROTJ. And did you watch Duel of the Fates lately? Maul was blindingly fast.

Im talking about Anakin right before he was burned on Mustafar.

This was done in a Tales comic.  Vader killed a Maul doppleganger by stabbing his own lightsaber through himself and impaling Maul.  It was a cool line.

"What do you hate enough to destroy me?"

"MYSELF!"

I’ve seen that scene in a few other comics, and I loved each of them, it shows a never say die attitude, even though it may in fact kill them and a desire to win that surpasses the bounds of most people’s limits.

Well I would still say Maul because Obi beat Anakin on Mustafar, and he only beat Maul because of Maul's slow reaction time to Obi's flip/horizontal swing (only because of the power of the plot)

Darth Maul, cause Maul is cool, and Vader is not. Now thats just my opinion.

Darth Maul. Vader is slow. Darth Maul is fast.

man none of you people seem to know "The Tortoise and the Hare." what was the moral of that story? Slow and steady wins the race :) and Vader is more powerful than Maul too. Maul only knows anger, which makes him strong, but much weaker, whereas Vader has mixed emotions, giving him the edge.

I say Darth Maul becuz he was one of the sickest bad guys ever to grace the galaxy. He would destroy vader, i think maul is just too quick for vader

If you're talking Pre-Suit Vader, then Vader takes the cake.  If you're talkin' Post-Suit Vader, I'd have to say Maul gets it.

Tortoise and the Hare only applies if Maul is lazy and takes a nap   :P

I gotta disagree with you there RD. If padawan Kenobi can beat Maul then for sure Darth Vader can. I like to go with that Tales comic, it accurately portrays how Maul would give Vader a run for his money, but Vader pulled a fast one in the end.

well, Padawan Kenobi didn't really Beat Maul....in fact Maul pwned BOTH Obi-Wan AND his MASTER TOGETHER.  Kenobi caught Maul off guard with a 'only in the movies' stunt.  If you judge the battle by every other aspect OTHER then the end, Maul owned then both.  And if Maul owned Kenobi, the man how Owned Young Vader................i gotta go with Maul

Ok... Let's not forget Vader is the chosen one. He obviously beats his apprentice in the end of TFU (I haven't played it but we know they fight and we know Vader is in Ep.4 and his apprentice isn't), and I personally think he is one of the coolest bad guys ever. Maul is just a rage filled (however skilled) n00b like young Anakin. Vader is a powerful Sith Lord, right hand man to Emporer of the galaxy. Vader wins.
