Life in the Dune Sea right? Yeah, it's been well over 100 for a while here as well in my corner of the state; I think the forcast said 111 for today. And no clouds, no wind, nothing at all to take the edge off of it... At least it had kind of a late start. The last few years we've been holding out until really late in May and even early June before we start breaking 100. Usually we're up there once or twice before April is out... Good ol' Globle Warming eh? :P

Yeah, same here. This years El Nino really threw everything off. Though now it feels like we're making up for it, hahaha! So long as we get a proper monsoon season this year, instead of El Nino coming in and ruining it before it even started like last year.

Yeah, last summer we really didn't have any of the typical thunder storms and weather at all; was all really mellow. The dust storms and thunderheads make for some really crazy days, but at least they make it feel like we have more then one and a half season - summer and pieces of a spring and a fall mashed into about 3 or 4 months

It is disgusting like hell. Doesn't last long but I must say when it's the day for that I hate having to go out then.
That therapist friend of mine is in Louisiana, and when I went to visit him there, it was really bad for humidity. I am not sure if it is worse there or in FL

Yeah I know what you mean. Southern Arizona is pretty bad when it comes to seasons. Mostly it seems like we have more then six months of summer, and the rest of the year is "not summer". Except for the rare snowfall, we don't really have anything that can be considered winter in Tucson. At least compared to most of the country/world. Which is weird just because the mountains all around the city (especially the Catalinas) do, in fact, have winter, and proper seasons in general. I think the northern part of the state is better for that as well. And, well, I guess every part of the state that's not the desert!
Humidty is kind of an odd thing for me. But then, I live in a climate dry enough for me to feel minute changes of humidity in the air. Dunno what I'd do in a really humid climate, lol.

Speaking from the frigid north I must say I love never going above 90. It actually got up to 87 the other day! Anything over about 75-80 is too hot for me. However I'd prefer to have more spring and fall. We usually have about 6 months winter, 4 months summer, 1 month spring, and 1 month fall. With all the rain and stuff up here summer really just began two weeks ago or so, but the last few days it's been back to rainy. Had to wear my coat yesterday when we were out shopping.

Cecilia and Ralin, I really, really don't know how you do that. Hey don't be so quick to laugh at it, it's been feeling upwards of 40 C for the past week! Luckily it's cooling down now though, and yeah I know I can't complain one of my cousins was in Afghanistan and was telling me about how hot it is.
we've been having a heat wave for the last week here, and today it finally rained. actually, it poured.

F = (1.8 x C) + 32
Can't you just take 32 from the F and get C

August 5, 2010 1:27 pm (Edited August 5, 2010 01:36 pm) # First, my kids... I don't think my 2 years old will want a tattoo anytime soon, lol.
And let me put it this way, if my 15 years old was determined enough to mutilate herself with pen ink and crap, I'd take things in hand and direct her onto something quality just to make sure she doesn't hurt herself worse than a tat would.
Then again there's places where a tat can be easily hidden by clothing and won't be a nuisance to you when you look for a job later. Gotta think of that too.
See, with teenagers it's like any other forbiddance, the more you forbid, the more stuff will happen behind your back and in the worst conditions. I am not one to allow free for all, but if anything is to happen I prefer to know it and make sure it's done the healthy way.

Skulls? Dragons? Everyone get that. The first time I thought of getting a tat I went for an airbrush on my leathercoat instead. A Grim Reaper, now how original is that? lol.
If there was an image I wanted to keep for a long time I suppose I could do that again. It's a long time that an image hasn't amazed me to that point though.

As long as you don't do what every girl does and go for flowers or stars or dolphins. That's like skulls and dragons for guys. Or Chinese characters. Though if I wanted a dragon, I'd go for an original looking dragon. Because that's how I roll.

Look at who you were ten years ago. You were a real idiot, huh? In ten more years you're going to think who you are now is an idiot. So why get a tattoo of something you're just going to hate in ten years?
Simpsons said it good too, when Homer's all like, "If you get a tattoo make sure it'll be for something you'll love forever." and then he sees one on himself and goes, "Aww, I hate that band."
Drawing on yourself with a pen is fine I think I've done that for quick notes once or twice (though a lot of that probably wouldn't be healthy). But trying to put the ink in with a tack? That's not good.
Cecelia, I heard about the star-girl. She tried to claim she was asleep and the person had done it on his own. Uh, yeah. Sleeping while needles are sticking into your face? I think she later admitted it was her own fault.

I have two possible tats that I may someday want to get. Both would be my own drawings *or at least based on them*. One would be my Clan Drakus Mando Death-head with red eight point star eye against dimond shield. The other would be the logo I still have in the planning stages for my Army of Two/Expendables spin-off mercenarly company.
The Mando would be high on my left shoulder, and the merc stamp would be on my right. High up where a military shoulder patch would be. I'm pretty sure I've posted the Mando logo in my creations thread. When I finally finish my merc logo I'll post it

Yeah, I might get me a Grim Reaper again somewhere. Death. He's been with me the whole time anyway, he's the main piece of my portfolio. Danse Macabre has always been my favourite music.
