So here is an interesting battle. 300 Spartans vs. 300 jedi knights (not masters) or Sith (once again not Lords or Darths). Now keep in mind that Melee weapons like swords  can be used to defend against Lightsabers. (And I'll add the metal shields to that). Now what if the Spartans just happened to be force resistant to a point. What do you think?

Jedi or Sith. Reason, can't really think of a reason, just seems like it would be obvious.

I don't mean to be harsh but honestly if you're going to do a Matchup you should leave all the original components of each combatant the same. Spartans are awesome yes. But they couldn't hold a candle to a jedi or a sith. The tech levels are just too far apart. One swing froom a lightsaber or a lightning form a sith and the spartans done. Yes if they had swords they might have a chance of extended survival but definitely not victory. Final Answer: Sith/Jedi.

Maybe if they were SPARTAN-II's that would definitely make it more interesting.

no earthy-weapon could resist sabers heh, that coupled with force powers 300 spartans could be taken down by 3 or 4 force users easily

yeah. even if they are only jedi knights or sith acolytes, they've still had plenty of training to be able to take on 300 spartans.
