I know there is a relation between the type of moon and tide, etc. but is there a good time to fish according to the moon or does that all relate back to the type of tide it creates.
I know in coarse fishing they are now linking the type of moon to good catches due to atmospheric pressures etc.
If anyone understands what I've just written can they translate it back to me cos I've just confused myself confused confused ?????????????????????
Seriously any difference between moon and tides?

Sorted by oldest to newestWell, there are plenty of differences between a moon and a tide. A moon is a ball of rock or other substance that orbits around a planet. A tide is when this moon pulls the water on the surface of the planet. To learn more go here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tides

Moons create tides via gravitational disturbances. The moon is traped in the planets gravitational pull and so it orbits unable to leave the planets gravity well.
However...
The moon has its own gravity field and can still affect things on earth, such as Tides, the magnetic fiels, atmospheric pressure and a multitude of other things.

Correct, moons would create tides, if any planet other than Earth had tides. We have a moon, one, and it is the only one that we know of that orbits a planet with vast quantities of liquid water. And it does create our tides. As for fishing, I don't know anything about that.
There's always Wikipedia. They usually have good info.
