I am extremely tempted to get my son a lightsabre for Christmas, however he'll only be seven and a half months old... do you think he's too young for it? :P
I'm sure he'll just try to eat it...

Start those padawans early! the sooner a child learns to respect a weapon, the better off they'll be and the less chance of danger.
:P
Maybe get him a small one, like a Yoda lightsaber. Or there's this new Clone Wars 2-pack that comes with a regular sized lightsaber and a dagger sized lightsaber, you could try giving him the little one. I think it would be adorable to give him one, even if all he does is munch on it, lol.
I'm sure its Ok, unless it's really cheap and falls apart, I don't think its harmful.
The only cheap fall-apart ones are the off-brand "Space Warrior Sword" toys places like the Dollar Stores sell. The cheap Halloween lightsabers aren't so great, but the regular cheap sabers Wal-Mart sells are pretty good.
It would be a great gift. Even if he doesn't play with it, it would be a cool bedroom decoration. :)
No way! My son was about that age and we got him one of those toy build your own lightsaber kits. We enjoy playing with them all the time. He is 10 now
Awesome. I haven't got the lightsabre as yet but his birthday is coming up in May. I have bought him a Boba Fett "pancake" toy.
wow, a year old - it's been too long Mel; sorry I've been gone so long. Internet woes, tight school schedual, and various headaches at home really had me down for a while
Awwwww.... a plushy Fett for the little vod'ika :D
Nothing wrong with a lightsaber for his first BDay, one of those things he can grow into - just don't let him forget Mando'ade come first before the Jedi and their hoky religions :P
My be you should get him a Light-butter-saber...
