Topic: My fan art

I'm not a tech guy so this is going to be a stupid question for some of you...

Is there any way to re-size some of my fan art through the site? I mean without working on it on my computer first and re-uploading. There are a few peices that I was not paying attention to when I scanned them and they are waaaay too big the way the are saved.
Many of these works have since been given to friends or sold.

It's not that big a deal but if it is possible I would like to shrink a few pieces to fit the screen.

Scan @ 72dpi, RGB, to JPG at maybe 1000x1000. The image galleries here (http://www.bobafettfanclub.com/multimedia/galleries/) can take that and resize automatically.

Unfortunitly I don't know how it could be done without resizing it in MSPaint (or if you use a Mac, whatever that equivilant is). Sorry. =/

Can I resize an existing file because i don't have the originals to scan again?

Yes, go to Start, up to Programs, over to Accessories, down to Paint. Once it's open, go to File, then Open, find the image you want to resize, double click it. Once it's open you go to Image, and Resize. Then just bring it in as much as you want.

However I use Irfanview to resize images. It's a nice program that allows you to do simple things like resizing, cropping, tints, blur/sharpen, black and white, dark/light, contrast, etc. You can't draw like you can in paint or photoshop, but it's a quick alternative to loading up photoshop or dealing with paint. And I just don't really like messing with paint. With Irfanview you know how big your image is. With paint I'm finding that it's done in percentages.

Just a note, but it's something I do with scanned things or pictures from my camera, keep the original scans the size they are, and when you save the smaller versions save them under a different name. This way if you ever print them out you use the originals and get better quality.

I am a mac user so I am thinking this info will not apply in my case? I have done everything I know how to. I don't have illustrator or photoshop so I guess I am out of luck!

Photoshop is available, in part, for free at http://photoshop.com/. What program do you use to scan? That's initially all you need to get your fan art digitized and web-ready.

Oh, I don't know anything about macs, sorry, the info I gave was for Windows.
