well um in Star Wars, there was a virus released that killed all non-human creatures. so anything in WH40K that wasn't human would be dead.

Sorted by oldest to newestThe New Jedi Order Stormtroopers may be bad just because people thought: "Lets make this seem like Luke is a god." Stormtroopers have killed hundreds of jedi if you didn't see ep. III. Trandoshans battle Wookies with no armor for fun too. The Jedi and Sith may be few, but many; including Darth Nihilus, have had more power than was shown. Nihilus ressurrected himself after KOTOR II, and that would win many battles, along with his mastery of the Force. Jar Jar would be killed first. SW found a cure to that virus, so they could administer it to their troops, and be able to fight on. The Ewok's had their home to fight on, giving an advantage. The Rebellion would study their enemies rigorously, giving them an advantage.

The star wars universe is very good i admit but the sheer numbers and specialist troops of the WH universe would win, yes star wars has better space ships, but WH is also set over an entire universe. Space marines and others can teleport onto enemy ships and take them over.
It would be a battle lasting years upon years, a battle so bad it would leave the planets barren and desserted. Trillions would perhaps die, bustling capitols would be reduced to rubble. The war would leave the universe in debt and have little chance of a full recovery.
Ok, so, time for me to say something. Suppose we allow all time peroids at once? Republic and Empire, before Heresy and after, just no double characters. (No Anakin and Vader, only one 501st, etc.) Although I support the immense might of the 40k universe, we have underestimated SW yet again. Let us not forget the Star Forge, and the Sith empire, the Rakatan Empire, Revan, Malak, etc. And it's time for a little verbal analogy. Executor is to Victory, as Eclipse (Star Dreadnought) is to Executor. Not joking. Star Forge could make a fleet of those. And Halo, someone mentioned the massive numbers of simple population... Covenant, yes. Human, no. All Human worlds have been glassed, except Earth. The total population of all Humanity is around 200 million. That's less than the current population of the USA. Unless you use the all time peroids rule. And even then, Humans aren't worth much. Elites and Brutes are very strong, I'd think maybe 2 or 3 for every Space Marine. Hunters are at least worth an average Space Marine. Or more. The population of the Hunter's homeworld is around 12 billion, and that means at least a couple hundred million hunter forms. The population of the Elite homeworld is 8 billion. Brutes, I can't remember offhand. So with Mandal's Spartan Clone Commando Jedi Super Warriors, and the Star Dreadnought fleet, WH40k has a bit of a problem. But 40k has the forces of the Eye of Terror, Chaos (are they the same?), Daemon princes, and all the others AA listed. Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't there only 1,000,000 Space Marines total (all chapters) at the time of Ragnar (I'm reading Wolfblade right now)?
p.s. There are at least quadrillions of battle droids, maybe quintillions, even if they are worthless they are a good way to overwhelm average skill armies or soften an area up before full assault.
Well I dont think we were doing all time periods, but if we were SW has a much higher chance of wining.
And you made some good points, Kudos!
ditto
IF that rule was applied, then Nothing could stop Star Wars. I really don't know anything about 40K, but SW is just too massive, and has changed VERY LITTLE in the 25,000 YEARS of history that's out there. Blasters have been common in SW for well over 5,000 years, and lightsabers even longer. That's a LOT of people using little changed tech over a LOT of years.
Combine the sheer mass of ppl and their more-or-less common battlefield know how with stuff like the Star Forge with Revan running it.......it's just too much
Ok, i'll give it to you there. But 40k would mess them up big time still. They might even launch a life eater bomb if they were going to lose, if they did everyone loses.

If the Black Templars launched into another crusade and had the support of the remaining Loyal Legions plus the Imperial Guard I am going to bet they could do some serious damage to SW Universe, if not able to completely destroy it then you still have to account for the 6-7 others races or armies of the 40K universe.
the space marines couldn't teleport onto the enemy ships if they didn't know where they were going.
An Interceptor Star Destroyer's grovity wells could probably disrupt those transmissions too

If Space Marines can sometimes teleport to ships near the eye of terror then im sure a gravity well wouldnt be much problem.
It's not much, but the Halo universe has the NOVA bomb (UNSC, capable of destroying entire planets or fleets).
I believe that if all the armies of Star Wars united...then they might have a chance against WH
the only thing you need is a decent sized group of mandalorians and they'll kill everything

Look up Warhmmer 40k Space Marines on the web and you will be of a different opinion, I asure you.
Hmmmmm.Tiny man in armor vs eight foot tall dude with a missle shooting machinegun who could flick your head and break your neck as a result? Oh and add power armor to the eight foot tall guy.

Space Marines out number Dark Troopers 100 to 1
that's only due to a limited amount of P3DT's ever being made. not gonna lie, i think the space marines are more BA than the darktroopers.
found this link, ironically suits the situation perfectly

picture to go with it
It's still the same. SW rules space with star forge, WH40K owns ground with Space Marines, and Halo can kill everyone (including themselves) with the Halo rings.
Unless the Adeptus Astartes send in some drop pods that is

I don't think they'd by able to capture the control room before someone pushed a button.
they would drop into the surrounding area and have some terminators teleport in
Interrogations are hard...
That still doesn't explain how there going to take the control room, considering Halos defenses, and the Force Marines guarding it.
All before someone pushes a button.
I think you missed the part where he said *Terminators* would *teleport* in...
vader would just crush them in a force grip... with his mind!!!
Well, when people are considering the Halo universe, they're only thinking the game/novel timeline--the Forerunners were incredibly advanced, and considering Mk VI MJOLNIR armor was only a MK II on the Forerunner scale, I think Mark 12+ Powered suits probably defeat Space Marines, if they are 6 times as powerful as MJOLNIR. They also had Dreadnaughts, Sentinels, and a lot of tech what was probably pretty much more advanced than eight SW or WH.
Plus, the Precursors were advanced enough to leave our Galaxy. That means serious advances.

Were talking marines here. the Forerunners are gone. I think a 9 foot tall man in powerarmor with lightning fast reflexes could shoot a guys arm off before he managed to push said button

Forerunners are gone. But they left their technology.
