I like rock and metal-style rock. I like these bands, but a lot of others, too: Foo Fighters, Three Days Grace, Linkin Park, Dragonforce (fire and flames, no i didn't hear them on GH3 first), Skillet, Creed. I can't think of any others right now, but although rock is my favorite, I am pretty eclectic, and like almost anything (country and classical at the bottom of the list). I sometimes buy CDs, I also do radio, and listen to my brother's nearly 4000 song filled iTunes. He uses limewire. :/
p.s. I like your sig a lot thelastMandalorian.

Oh I would never argue your title Draco. I totally shall admit that you are. I consider myself less of a headbanger then a "Music Elitest" as an ex boyfriend once called me. I like the metal stuff, but a ton of others too. Emo, Sceamo, Alt. Rock. Indie Rock. Oldies, Classic rock, some county, some folk, certain "pop". I'm all over actually. I only buy cd's when they are so independent I can't manage to download it on limewire. I love the thing. Its saved me thousands I think. (Before I got limewire I was buying at least 2 cds a week and that has a way of adding up fast.)

I haven't seen too many shows, Willie Nelson, Queensryche, Alice Cooper, and Black Sabbath. The last 3 were touring together, and I got second row seats! When Alice came on, I got right in the moshpit and caught some props and picks Alice and his band threw off. Freakin' Sweet.

Yeah, I forgot some hard, stoner, acid, and psychadelic rockbands. Ted Nugent, Jimi Hendrix, Sleep, High on Fire, Om, and Jefferson Airplane. I'm sure there are others, but those areall that come to mind.

Wow I bet there was nothing better for the big Alice Cooper fan like you. Sounds like fun. I know the feeling as I've hung out with my favorite "mainstream" musician a few times, had some wine, chilled with his girlfriend and brother after the show. Good times, good times.

I would say the coolness of all those bands combined are just about equal to the Foo Fighters. Yep, not quite.

Jk lol, I haven't even heard of half of those bands, let alone listened to them. It's all Foo Fighters for me, with some Nirvana, The Classic Crime, Breaking Benjamin, Atreyu, Yellowcard, Linkin Park, Jimmy Eat World, Alien Ant Farm, P.O.D., Skillet, TFK, 30 seconds to Mars, Creed, Rage against the machine, Pillar, Queen, Modest Mouse, Kutless, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Finger Eleven, Dropkick Murphys and Flogging Molly thrown in there occasionally. Not even close to your list, Draco. :)

edit: Wait, did you exclude AC/DC? Do you have a reason for not liking them? They're not my favorite, but I thought you would have liked them... :/

Figrin D'an and the Modal Nodes are great if your ever on Tatooine

I try to keep an open ear for all genres, I don't play favorites and am always looking for more. I can listen from anywhere from Tech N9ne to Chopin. What makes a great song or song writer is both the sound (ie melody) and the lyrics. One, in my opinion does not do well without the other. Such an example I have found myself returning to constantly is the music from Neko Case. Although country and blues may be most suitable for the genre, (country as in Johnny Cash) it is the dark lyricism I find myself attracted to most. The subject is often of forgotten places of America's past or man's plight with nature and the sound is rich in texture. Each time I listen to an album I find myself finding new things about it or being more lost in her abstract narratives which for me is always a treat. I highly recommend Blacklisted, The Tigers Have Spoken, The Fox Confessor Brings the Flood and Furnace Room Lullaby.

It was the denial of God, the denial of man, and the destruction of the world in miniature form.

Been good.  Busy but good.

One of my favourite artists, Skillet, is coming out with a new CD this August.  I am stoked to get it.  The two singles they've released were awesome.  The two singles were Hero and Monster if you were interested.

don't kill me, but my favorite musicians/bands are the Duke Ellington and Glenn Miller orchestras. You can't beat Take the 'A' Train, I've Got A Gall (in Kalamazoo), It Don't Mean A Thing (If It Aint Got That Swing)

Plus, The Police is also a great band.
