I certainly hope that no one saw what I saw when I checked the forums this evening. Just got home from the movies after my shift at work (Transformers 2, pretty cool, it's Michael Bay doin' his thing and it's good entertainment, wouldn't call it groundbreaking or anything).
If you were online this afternoon and did see any of the spam posted, just know I have already taken care of the poster and banned their IP. Further investigation and precautions will be taken by Aaron. Once again, the BFFC team apologizes to anyone who had to see all of that earlier, we want to make sure that this community is a safe place to share our common interest of Fett fandom.

Yeah I saw it. Honestly, it's not the first time, and I laughed at it, knowing that in a few hours it would be deleted.

We get a lot of those at this other forum I go to. I don't even know how we even ended up on so many of those lists. o_O;
But yeah, I just rolled my eyes and knew it'd be taken care of shortly. I've been on the internet for 10+ years and went to public middle and high school; nothing can hardly surprise me anymore.

Its nice that we have conscientious admins here to take care of that garbage and care enough to do so. Thanks. It makes it so much better to be here when we don't have to put up with that sort of waste.

I'm glad we've got enough active moderators on all sides of the globe who've got an eye on this. It's only inevitable when the gate to access the site isn't fool-proof.
Fortunately, we're able to jump on such things quickly and efficiently.
