The Jawa and I would like to announce the birth of our baby boy, Cael Peter (aka Mini Jawa). He was born 4 May and was 9 pounds, 12 ounces - eventually arrived by caesarian.
Will post a photo later on... connection is too damn slow!

Congratulations Mel! C-section? Ouuuch, they seem like they might be even more painful then the normal way (somehow). May 4th eh? Heh, he was kinda like (but not as late as my sister at least). And just about 10 pounds, so he was big as well! I just hope he doesn't tire you out too much!

That last picture is highly disturbing and I shall have nightmares tonight thanks to that really creepy looking Ewok.

You must be so proud and happy to finally see his little face. Over nine pounds, now that's a big baby. Is it why you had to have him that way? Too big? My eldest was a little under that. How tall is he?

Well they'd said there'd be 40% chance of a caesarian due to his size. Contractions started about 5am in the morning (had two false starts prior which sucked). Then I had 12 hours of labour but Cael's head just wasn't coming out. So the option was forceps or caesarian. I was just glad when they did the spinal block because the pain finally stopped (was having contractions every 30 seconds that lasted for a minute - got told I was a trooper).
They decided to do a caesarian and I'm glad they did, I've heard forceps can do some serious damage. Cael had mec on his lungs and had to go into the special care unit initially and was in the humidicrib. The next morning he was trying to bash his way out with his arm splint that had his drip attached. He's a tough little thing.
We're home now and he's doing really well. He's really well behaved and actually let us have 7 hours sleep last night.
I can't wait to buy him his first lightsabre :P

Wow, that could've been potientially, well, really bad. But I'm glad everything turned out Ok!
Yeah my mom always tells me how foreceps basically leave an imprint on the sides of the head that don't go away for a while, if ever. o_O;
And Mel, before you get him that first Lightsabre, you gotta customize your stoller like the one in the picture first! And somehow work Slave I into it as well.

You know what I can almost him doing that...My lil' bro had to day at the hospital for a month after he was born (on Oct. 2, 02, Tuesday 7:43pm) He had crud in his lungs too...even when we got home he still had to have breathing treatments. No he is a MESS!
You got 7 hours in...wow...thats a blessing.
Cael is pronouced Kay-el (or think of hail but with a K sound). It's Gaelic so that's why it's spelled that way.
The Jawa isn't from starwars.com (he's Mel's Jawa on BFFC - he appears very infrequently).
October 2 is a good day, that's my birthday too ;) I hope your brother improves!
