This is something I just found out about 5 minutes ago. I've found zero information on it thus far, and its not in listed on this site even (as far as I know). For those not familiar with Nintendo Power, its a magazine put out by... you guessed it, Nintendo, starting in the late 80's/early 90's. Nintendo Power features game tips, reviews, and even comics about games. Some where thinly disguised tips, others were a few pages long and weren't about anything in particular, and others were retellings of brand new games that had stories that spanned more then one issue. Some of the more well known of these comics were all from the SNES and covered the games Super Mario World, Star Fox, and Super Metroid.

However, I have just found out there was a Shadows of the Empire comic as well. At least several panels feature everyones favorite Mandalorian, but I am not sure about how much he is seen in the comic (these comics, although really awesome, tend to, uh, take some liberties from the actual source material, but this makes them more interisting), and cannot find ANY information on this as well. Was it just a re-printing of a Shadows of the Empire comic that was already out? Something entirely brand new? ALL information is greatly appreciated, even if I find out I am way behind on this.

That sounds awesome. I don't know anything, but I will let you know if I see something.

Couldn't find a pic of the issue with Fett on the cover online anywhere, just the other three variant covers.  I'll dig it out and scan it this weekend.  Was the comic supposed to be inside the issue?  It's been a while since I've looked at it.  It may have been a tie-in to the regular Shadows of the Empire comic book mini-series, kind of like the comics that came with the action figure 2-packs (Boba Fett vs. IG-88 and the Darth Vader vs. Prince Xizor).  Even the pop-up comic book, Battle of the Bounty Hunters, went along with the main gist of the SOTE mini-series, but just a little more in detail.

I'm assuming the comic is inside the issue (all the others were). It's nice to know that I didn't hallucinate this or anything. When I couldn't find any information on it anywhere I was starting to panic, like I only imagined its existance. I'm just glad to have any info at all!

Scanned it today.  Here's the cover for it.  I'll stick it on our Multimedia page in a minute.

Here's a scan of the inside back cover, with a montage of all the other variant covers, to make the whole nice big pic at the top.

I didn't scan the comic inside, but I scanned the front page for it.  It says that the comic inside is taken from the actual SOTE mini-series comic book, so it's just reprinting sections of those.  Kind of like how the Boba Fett/ Jodo Kast: Twin Engines of Destruction comic book was first in pieces in the Star Wars Galaxy magazine.

And, last but not least, just because I dug it out and was scanner happy today, I went ahead and scanned the Boba Fett level from the game that they had a little walkthrough for, in case anyone wanted it.

Hope this helps.  Catch you guys later.

The best one I know of is Project64. Be warned, not all games are compatible for it, for some stupid reason.... SotE works though. I also must admit that the games don't run perfectly on it, but thats to be expected.

An emulator is a program designed to emulate a console, be it GameBoy, NES, SNES, N64, GBA, ect. And they can run the same games designed to run for that system (Super Mario Bros. on an NES emulator, StarFox on an SNES emulator, ect.). I know you're probably thinking "that doesn't sound legal" and, well...it's not. Emulators are perfectly legal, it's the commercial ROMs that aren't. But there are non-commercial ROMs out there.

Anyways I wouldn't feel guilty about it. The games I play on emulators have been long out of print; Nintendo isn't making money off of them anymore.

Those are some awesome pics. I remember playing that game. Good times. When you're fighting Slave 1, all you gotta do is stand still, and the laser cannons are so far apart, that when they fire, the bolts just go on either side of you. In fact, that epic battle with Fett is the main reason I became such a huge fan of his, and that game eventually led me to here, indirectly. Also, that game is a big reason why I became even more of a SW fan.

So THATS the trick to it... when he jumps into the Slave 1 it got so much harder.
