They broke this morning when I was cleaning them. After three years of use they just suddenly bent and snapped. NO I was not being overly rough. I don't know why it happened though. I've gone through nearly 14 pairs of glasses and none of them broke before! So I have to currently wear the last pair I had or else I can't see, and its awful. They won't sit on my face properly so my perception is all screwed up and I feel like I'm walking uphill when I'm just on normal flat ground. And everything seems way far away as well. Like I need those little stickers on my glasses now that say "Objects are closer than they appear". This combined with the uphill walking feeling and its a wonder I haven't crashed or tripped yet.

I am getting a new pair (prescription from 7 months ago that was an optional fill is still good), but it's going to take 14 business days. And the lady working at the store was super rude! She got all nasty for no reason and kept making me try on these horrible thick plastic things even though I kept saying "No I don't want them!". It took decades of glasses wearing for us to finally move away to giant thick plastic frames to metal sleek ones, and now suddenly its in to wear think plastic ones again WHAT THE HELL. I didn't want them when I was seven when there was barely any sort of selection and I don't want them now. WHAT WOULD POSSESS ME TO WEAR PLASTIC BLACK AND PINK GLASSES FOR THE NEXT SEVERAL YEARS?!

the ridiculous style of wearing pink is back?

As long as they come in giant, plastic, already ugly form, then yes. I really really hate that they're suddenly in, especially since very few people can pull that look off.

I'm glad I wear contact lenses now and only use glasses as a back up. Fortunately still, those glasses look pretty descent and spend most of their time in the case.

Actually I had a similar thing happen to my glasses once, they snapped at the nose when I was cleaning them. Thankfully they were still under warranty... just. I had to wear my prescription sunglasses until they could replace my normal glasses.

Mine snapped at the nose too! But they're 3 years old, so no warrenty for me. Its going to cost a hefty amount of money, but this is something that I can't, y'know, deal without. Especially since these old ones are really screwing with my perception. And I have art classes too, so its doubly bad! I did explain this whole situation to my professor though, and he seemed pretty understanding (being a glasses guy himself) and said he wouldn't be too hard on me if he notices my next drawings from now until my new glasses are really off perception wise and whatnot.

My glasses feel comfortable now on my face. They've been heated up with a plasma projector thing, about 4 times now, and still not snapped.

Hopefully, I'll get new one's soon though.

Want to see! Any pic of you with them v/s you with the old ones so we can appreciate the improvement? :)

Cast iron and treadmills? Oh yes. Still sculpting me to what I really want to be, and I love it. :)

Unfortunitly there is only one picture of me with my old ones (and you can see up my nose so yeah, NO) so I can't do a comparison, but I can do a pic of me and the new ones.
