Topic: Boba Fett vs. Darth Maul

If say a clone of Darth Maul (such as in the Vader Vs. Maul fight in Star Wars Tales #9) and Boba Fett met in combat... Who would walk away?

i think that boba would win he would get him like he got all the other jedi/sith.

Yes, Darth Maul is SOOO awesome, but I'd have to say Boba. You have to scale it all out, ya know? OK....

In PM, Obi-Wan killed Darth Maul, and Obi-Wan was still a Padawan. In AOTC, Obi-Wan could'nt defeat Jango, Obi-Wan was almost a knight at the time and he tried to kill Jango 2 TIMES! And Boba is a little better than Jango. If Boba can defeat Obi-Wan and Obi-Wan can defeat Darth Maul, then would'nt ya think Boba could beat Darth Maul? :/ So I say Boba wins. :D Ya see?

i am on here cause i like Boba......again my vote goes to Boba, even though Maul is pretty SWEEEEEEET!!!!!   I agree,   he would kill him just all the other jedi...  you must consider he almost beat Darth Vader....THAT    is an accomplishment...

Although Maul is crazy-cool and a born killer, Fett has the brains to defeat him.  It might take him some time, and he might get injured, but he coud take out Maul.

Yes, I don't boubt that he might get injured, but he would eventually win.

But consider this.
In Tales #9 Darth Maul and Vader fought. Despite the Acolytes bet that Maul would triumph, Vader eventually killed him.

The point is they were very evenly matched.

Perhaps you should also consider whether Fett could beat Vader....

In "Enemy of the Empire," Fett fought Vader. In the epiloge, It said that Fett could have killed Vader.

Yeah, He could have, but I really think that Vader woulda won, or Boba would get away like in that movie on the mainpage, 'Infiltration'. :)

But VAder coulda killed Fett as well.
It's really a matter of adantages. If Fett had an advantage he could defeat Maul Or Vader.
For instance everyone agrees that under normal circumstances, Obi-Wan would have little or no chance against Anakin or Vader. Yet he managed to defeat Anakin, Because he had the advantage of Higher ground.
I think it would be the same with Vader and Fett....

thats is very true, lets say they fight in a small hallway, most likely maul would win.
but in a biger place whith space fett wins.

If it was say Tatooine in the dune sea.
Fett would win because he ahs his explosives and Jet Pack correct?

But in an enclosed space
Fett would not be able to use any of those things without endangering himself.
SO Fett would probably be defeated.

But even in an enclosed space Fett would be able to use his physical strength and combat skill against Maul, and he has an advantage there.

But Maul has the force..
and a double-Bladed lightsaber

although various things have suggested that like General Grievous or Asajj Ventress Fett too has lightsabers on him at all times.

I think he used one against Vader in an Issue of Star Wars Tales.

but he may not use them as much skill as a sith aprentice.

The force doesn't neccesarily mean that Maul could beat him.  Boba's killed many jedi, all of whom have the force, and it didn't do them a bit of good.  And Bothekid, Boba may not be as good with a lightsaber as Maul, but he wouldn't usually be using a lightsaber in the first place.

IF Boba's rifle had been chopped in two and his pistol had slid WAAAAAAY across the room, plus is back pack missle would kill him too if shot. I would imagine a lightsaber would be exactly what he'd use.

And as for use of the force.
Well I'll explain this to you.

The Light Side of The Force and the Dark Side are very different things.

when fighting a Jedi activating intense emotion in yourself you can block a Jedi's anticipation of your moves. Atton siad this in KOTOR 2. If you increase emotions of ANger and Sadness in your body then a Jedi cannot see what you are going to do with the force.

It is the opposite for the Dark Side. They cannot sense no emotion. That is How Obi-Wan beat Darth Maul.

Explanation: Obi-Wan was feeling intense anger after Qui-Gon's death. You could see his anger. THen he fell into the pit and we see him calming himself down. Remembering to stay on the light side. Darth Maul is then seen looking VERY confused. Obi-Wan grabs Qui-Gon's lightsaber and slices Maul in two..

You are wondering what I'm getting at No?

Boba Fett is not a Jedi (Or a Vulcan) and he has Emotion. He's an experienced Jedi Hunter and as a result has probably realised the best way to deal with Jedi is to use Emotion. But in because he feels anger, it would be very easy for a Dark Lord of The Sith such as Darth Maul to feel in the force his every move.

This is why Darth Maul has the advant5age of the force when perhaps most Jedi don't...

Or Fett could just use his flame-thrower up close.

Or his wrist blaster, or his dart, or his bombs in his pocket, or................well, you get what I'm getting at. ;)

yeah, that's what logic would suggest, and there is no way Maul could deflect a flamethrower attack.

But he could set himself on fire in the process...

Plus a Force Block could deflect a Flamethrower with ease...

Not likely that he'd set himself on fire.  Anyway, his armor protects him from fire.  Check out the end of Enemy of The Empire, and you'll see what I mean.

Thats cheap! I think that if your gonna make someone impenitrable from the force, make it vader, or Yoda. If I recall, Darth Maul is the most unexperienced dark jedi. Right? :/

But Darth Maul could still use the force to protoect himself

even if it was just extrememly temporarily...

Besides he held his own against Vader...

But he still lost to Vader, where as Fett did not.  Think about this.  When Obi-wan was still an apprentice, he beat Darth Maul.  Yet when he was a full fledged master. he found that Jango Fett was to much for him.  Since most of us agree that Boba is supurior to Jango, this all points to Boba as the winner.

Let me explain a few things to you all. One: Fett can light himself on fire (see the 1/2 comic). Second: Force users can block attacks, and sence would-be attackers. Third: they could not block a flame-thrower at point-blank range.

But using the force he could.....Jump out of the way.

He could sense the attack...

I aint sayin its definate, we're just sayin that Fett survived and allmost beat Vader, so itts VERY possible that he will defeat Maul.

This is why I dont like Vs that much. Anything is possible, all we have are the player's stats. Like I said before you never know what will happen.

Ex: A simple farm boy on Tattoine defeats a Powerful sith in control of an empire.               :/      Ya never know!

The real unendable fight would be Kir Kanos from Crimson Empire vs. Fett

Both men are too skilled to fail in a fight
Both men are too honorable to lose
Both men are trained too well to die

If you want to make a judgement on who would win between Kir Kanos and Boba Fett
then yes!

Maul would give Fett a run for his money, but then again all Fett has to do is shoot Maul with a poison dart. :cool:
