I do not like Mondays.
I think I hate Fridays. It's always really, really busy, lots of traffic and lines and rushes. And it's on Fridays that the idiots who never heard of the word BANK come up to my checkstand at 9:00 and say, "I want to break this hundred into twenties can you do that?" It's like, I just opened this till, I'm lucky if I even have fifty dollars in tens. And everyone wants to do that. I get five people one after the other paying for little one or two dollar orders with hundreds. You know, when you cash your check the nice bank people ask how you want it, you don't have to say "hundreds". One lady paid with a hundred when I had just opened, and I'd already given out change for a hundred on the order before her, so when I gaver her her change, I gave out all my tens. Then all my fives. Then I had to give her her last ten dollars or so in ones. I then had to close my checkstand as it was out of money, and move all my VERY angry customers over to another checkstand, which meant taking their stuff off the belt and moving it to the one next to it. All cause it was Friday, she'd gotten her paycheck, and had decided to ask for hundreds instead of twenties, and then decided to come to the grocery store to break her new hundred. 0_0
On the other hand, my favorite day is Sunday cause I get paid a dollar extra per hour and cause things are always so nice on Sunday. People are generally nicer, the store's almost empty till 1:00 cause everyone's at church, and then there's the afterchurch sorta glow, and I dunno, Sundays are always cool.

My hated day happens to have math class, it's the one class that seems to drag on into the next day. I'm not big on Sunday because I go to church on wednesday, I usually spend the day watching reruns or walking.

Oh, yeah, any day with a math class would be much, much worse than dealing with people who translate Grocery Store into Bank.

i hate monday, you have to go back to school. it sucks!!
Mondays. Whether I'm off from work or not.
We do an open inventory report on Monday, to make sure we're on track for moving our volume. The woman who reports directly to me is a great person, but a zero in terms of handling analytics. I've tried to teach her for the last year to no avail, unless I give her direct instructions for every single step, she screws up some aspect of the report and work assignments. This pisses off the staff, who come straight to me to complian because they're all Type A and don't like mixed messages.
So mostly, I slog through several hundred cases along with all the "MUST READ" now emails that are all "PRIORITY #1". I keep asking the IT guys to install spam controls on my lotus notes. My Boss, a great guy, is always most needy on Mondays. So between the report, the cases, the staff, and the emails, I get a phonecall from him every fifteen minutes.
About every other call is something insane from 'senior management', so by mid afternoon my whole "be the bhuddist and don't react" has been dumped in the trash and I'm on the ledge: not to jump, to throw people off. In the afternnon, the long calls turn into "Come see me in my office" - where we 'problem solve'. I get nothing done. EVER.
You'd think it would be better if I'm off? Nope. Even out of state, I get calls. For some reason, no one can deal with things on my days off without calling me five or six times. By the last call, I'm pissed, and ask the inevitable "Do I need to come in and fix this myself?"
I now tell everyone they need to go through either my boss to call me, or if he's out, the Assistant Vice President. They will make the decision on calling me at home. This includes the other supervisors who work in the department. Tomorrow I have Monday off and I'm switching off the phones. It's my first Monday off in two months. I gave up taking them off because I wound up working all day. I hope tomorrow breaks the chain.
And on top of it all, I can never quite wake up on Monday. Go figure. ;)
So yeah, it has to be Mondays.

I didn't realize it at the time, but I sound sarcastic, I wasn't. I was being serious. Math is almost up there with Mace on the things I hate. Sorry if I sounded wrong.

Alright, I didn't much know how you were saying it anyway, I took a guess.

Oh, sorry, I'll clarify a little:
Friday is the day most people get their paychecks on. These people cash their checks, and when they do that the people cashing them gives them a choice. Would they like their paycheck given to them in hundreds or twenties or something else. Some people say they want their check in hundreds. So now they have about 4 hundreds in their wallet. They then go to the grocery store and they by a little 59 cent candy bar or something else about the same price, so that they can break their hundred into twenties. Early in the morning when there's no one to bring checkers more money, and when checkers only start off with a set amount of money (a few ten dollar bills, a few fives, and a few ones), and several people wanting to break their hundreds come through our lines to do it, it's hard on us cause we give out all our tens and fives and have these big hundreds laying in our checkstands that we can't use as change cause no one needs a hundred dollars in change, they need tens and fives and ones. So these people cause us much agony and suffering because, when cashing their check, they chose to ask for hundreds instead of twenties. If they come through and buy a candybar and pay with the twenty, that's fine cause then all I need to give them is a ten, a five, and four ones. As opposed to 5 tens, 9 fives, and 4 ones. After giving out the 5 tens, 9 fives, and 4 ones, my checkstand only has a total of 21 dollars in it. Plus the hundred dollar bill which is useless to me. (the starting off with 5 tens, 10 fives, and 20 ones is just an example, sometimes there's more or less, depending on who set up the checkstands)
I hope that made things make more sense. Sometimes I'm not good at explaining things. But I didn't mean to turn this into a work discussion. :(

MOndays: Go back to school
Go to daycare (Dad STILL won't let me stay home)
During the school year, it is definately Monday...
During summer, my worst favorite day is Thursday. (With Friday and Saturday close by.) I never see any of my friends on those days. (Whereas on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday I get to go to my church.)
School Year: Monday. Teachers decide on Friday that we'll have the chapter test on Monday. Nobody studies on the weekend, I know I don't. (Unless it's very important). Most bad things happen on Monday. Plus, after two days with no school, you really don't feel like going back to school. Same applies to work, I suppose.
Summer: Almost every flippin' day. I haven't seen my friends in... ever. I'm stuck in a very small house with seven people. Two parents, five younger siblings. None of them leave me alone, two follow me everywhere and copy everything I say or do. Very annoying. It's been about a little over a month since school let out and you tend to rub raw with people that you're stuck with day in and day out.
You colud go in your room, lock the door, set up a blockade.
For me, the worst day during the school year is Monday. Though it shouldn't really count as Monday; it's more of a pre-Monday. 4 a.m. Monday morning. That's when I roll out of bed and do all the homework my teachers gave me for the weekend. I'm a horrible slacker, and I do all my homework the day it's due, but on Mondays it gets a bit tight, what with typing up research papers and all. I can get a bit...frazzled by the time 6 a.m. rolls along. Not too fun.
By the way, please don't see this as complaining. I do this all to myself: I'm lazy :P but I love it.
Monday is the best day of the week apart from Wednesday during the school year, and I don't even like school. Thursday is the worst no matter what. I don't like Sunday either(I go to church on wednesday as I mentioned), there's never anything to do for some reason. Maybe that's just me but I'm always in a good mood on Monday until gym anyway, nothing to do there either.

Tried it. They broke my door; not good in the long run. So now, I have a door that has no lock and doesn't shut unless it's in the mood to. And it doesn't help that my sister practically owns my room.
Yeah, well, those were my Marine cousins. I was listening to one of their CDs and I guess they really wanted it back.
My sibs do more on the side of practical jokes, unfortunately for them, I taught them those so they can't prank me.
