ok, so this might be kind of a strange topic, but my best friend Chris has epilepsy, and we sit next to each other is class, and he has a seizure, right next to me. Thankfully, his bro Justin is in the class with us, so he knew what to do. but it was scary. BUT I know what to look for before he has one.1 he gets Really Really confused. 2 whatever he was doing when his brain "sparks" he does over and over again, like he was clicking his mouse on his computer, and he was like a broken record, 3 he turns his head to the right, and when his head cant go anymore, his body turns to the right, then he has a seizure. he has one about every 4-5 months

So, anybody here have epilepsy? or know anybody that does?

PS Mods, if this topic in inappropriate delete, and please PM me and let me know

I don't know anyone that has epilepsy but I do know someone who has seizures.  And yes there are really scary things.  She bit down on her tongue so she has some bad scars.  Better that she bit down on it than choked on it.

I don't know anyone personally, but someone in a class next to mine on day had a seizure, begand to hypervantilate, and then choked. Fortunately, shes ok...

my mom has epilepsy,

it used to be really bad, so bad that she had to have brain surgery to fix it.

seizures never lose their scariness.

No, I'd go nuts if I did! I love video games waaaaaay too much. And strobe lights. Our cat had a siezure once though. And he's 15, so I really cried because of it. But, he's perfectly fine. He doesn't act any stranger then he did before it (though, he was already pretty nutty to begin with!)

My firend does not have a severe enough case to have surgery. IT sucks, cuase he has to go seizure free for a year to her his drivers licence, and he's 17

My friend Roger has seizures. I don't know if it's from Epilepsy, but we were all sitting around playing X-Box, and kinda like what you said happened. He twisted his head all the way to the right, then twisted his body to the right and slid off the end of the couch. He laid on the floor as stiff as a board. Stiff, not shaking at all. It scared the hell out of all of us, but luckily his close friend was aware of his condition, and told everyone to calm down. A few minutes later he was totally fine. We wanted him to go to the hospital, but he was adamant that it was a normal occurance for him. We took him home, regardless. He can't have a driver's license because of his condition.

Well, regardless if you have Epilepsy or not, if seizures are a normal thing for a person, they're not supposed to play games. Not unless you talk to a doctor and they examine you and say you can, anyways. But I'm probably the only person who knows this stuff because way back when, when I first got my Nintendo 64, I remember my mom read all the warning stuff and totally freaked out about the idea of Nintendo giving me seizures. She used to strictly enforce the "short amounts of time only" thing, even. Of course, she doesn't do that now, thankfully!

The N64 book says if you've had previous signs of epilepsy.
Back on topic. I feel bad for anyone who does have epilepsy, and there are several people at my school. But, why would someone who has epilepsy be on the computer at the BFFC? Don't you think they would have a seizure while they're on?

Im sorry, as that must be tough. There isn't much one can do when someone is having a seizure. All anyone can do is make sure they dont get hurt on things around them. They look scary that's for sure. I hope everything is working well with your mom reggi. And I hope your friend feels better or ok.

Some people get seizures as their symptoms of a migraine attack.
