Topic: Bane or Vader, who'd win?

Pretty simple who'd ja think would win in a one-on-one dule? Darth Vader or Darth Bane?
Personaly I think Bane would but what do you all think. Just wonder'n. :)

Bane would do Vader in without blinking.  I am almost sure of that.

Just so happened to get on the internet at this time.  But the gap between Bane and Vader means huge amounts of Sith knowledge lost.  And knowing Bane found Revan's holocrons, he has infinite more power than Vader.

Plus Bane has his bug armor. :D Since we're on the subject.

I'll play Devil's Advocate here and say Vader. He was born from the will of the Force. That must mean he's pretty damn strong. With the suit I don't think he would win, though. Pre-suit Vader would probably win in my opinion. He got a lot weaker after he was defeated by Obi-Wan.

we haven't really seen Bane in action, I don't doubt him, but Vader was a natural.

i agree with Appo, pre suit would probebly win. He is the chosen one.

I think Bane would win fairly comfortably.

But Vader was ment to destroy the sith. I belive that means all sith.

Hey here's another point. Bane is a kick-butt sith lord with an apprentice. Darth Vader is the apprentice...though he's pretty kick-butt too... and he had a secret apprentice... and Wow! my head hurts. :mad:

I'd go with Vader. He's the Chosen One and he even turns back to the light side (with the help of Luke but still) and Bane couldn't ever do that.

I'm pretty sure Bane mastered the force much much more than Vader.

Vader had the highest midi-clorian count ever. he was much stronger in the force than Bane, and would probably win.

He had a higher midi-clorian count, he did not masterthe dark side of the force nearly as much.

Yay but Vader plainly said that his old name had no meaning to him anymore, so I'm guessing neither did anything of his old life including powers of the Light Side.

Pre-suit Vader was pretty weak. If he had never been put into a suit, yeah by the time it was A New Hope he'd be able to give Bane a run for his money. Unfortunately he was put into the suit which made him considerably weaker. As a result I'm certain Bane would destroy him and then destroy him again, then go back in time and kill him twice. Without taking a breath.

Pre-suit Vader wasn't weak per say he just didn't have the knowledge to put him over the top.  That's why Sidious never really feared or respected Vader after his accident.  He was majorly inhibited by his suit and would never ever become what he was (in Sidious's mind) destined to.

Though Vaders power overall is considerable, and shouldnt be taken lightly. Not by a long shot.

Bane wasn't crippled though, he was able to reach his peak capacity.
Bane's peak capacity may well have been no where near Vader's had Vader not become crippled on Mustafar. As a result of that incident I'm sure his peak power was less than that of Bane's.

I believe that Bane would absolutely win, Vader may have been born of the fforce but it was his destiny to die in order to bring balance of the force, he was pretty much useless other than that. i mean he's powerful and all but he's weak in the mind, if both were pre suit or unarmored I believe that Vader, rather Anakin would win though.Bane with armor though would destroy Anakin and toss him like a ragdoll.

I still think Bane.  Bane had the knowledge of Revan himself.  Darth Vader didn't have anywhere near as much of a mastery of the Dark Side.  If he was pre-suit the only way he could win would be sheer power, which Bane did not lack in.  So Bane would be hard pressed and I'd say that Bane could do it.

Bane because in most of the Star Wars media it seems to show that the old Sith Lords were more powerful.

Palpatine was probably more powerful than most, if not all, of them. Pretty sure Vader would throw a good fight - and ultimately beat Bane.

Yeah thats pretty much all that needs to be said. Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader is the most powerful Force user to ever be in the Star Wars universe. He was born OF the Force, the Force is his father. The prophecy explains how he is the most powerful force user, and some quote from Yoda confirms it. Gotta find it...

Ya but that's highest of Jedi and Such tests were only created as early as 1,000 BBY after the Battle of Ruusan so thousands upon thousands of Jedi and Sith were never tested.

So is this bane before the Creatures that attached to his skin or after. ( I forget the name of them) They were the creatures He got when he went to the sith temple to search out the holocron on the Kerriban

The creatures attached to him are called orbalisks, and their invulnerable even lightsabers As well they also granted hima amazing properties of healing as well as an adrenaline burst. The only known sur fire way of killing them would be with force lightning wich Vader coudn't use because of his suit. So absolutely beyond a  shadow of a doubt if you take in to consideration all evidence  there's no way Vader would win if he fought Bane. Bane would utterly destroy him. Sorry folks but thats the way it is.

yeah but bane gets the orbalisks removed since they would have eventually killed him. also vader could just force choke bane. both are pretty good duelists, so it would be quite a match. however, if it were a duel between bane and vader in their prime states, i would still say vader.

You know I don't think anyone had thought of that KArson. Very good ppoint. They are both superb Masters of the Dark side, its very possible that they would kill eachother.
