September 5, 2008 11:49 pm # I have noticed a lot of fans(not necasserally on this forum) have been complaining that Clone Wars is stricktly for kids all the time and there is no more SW for older peeople.
I mean 3 years ago we go Revenge of the Sith and that wasn't a kids movie and Force Unleashed isn't for kids so why do they complain?
Lucas is just giving kids something.

The Force Unleashed and ROTS are both for kids...oh never mind you probably think that T rated games are too mature for kids.....

September 7, 2008 1:59 pm # Depends on your definition of kids...what age group are we talking?
'Cause I wouldn't give a teen game to someone younger than six.

September 7, 2008 5:49 pm # Yeah I didn't mean that young.
Lucas gave the entire Star Wars Universe to kids. He stated that he made it for kids. It's not like it's an adult movie, but adults still enjoy it. Star Wars is for everyone.

September 7, 2008 6:01 pm # One of the reasons adults like it is because they saw it as kids too. It remains as one of their favorite movies, and hey, I saw a bunch of kids at the theater when I saw ROTS.

September 7, 2008 6:55 pm # i think everyone will agree with me that the old sw movies were somehow better than the new ones.
so what did he change?
it could be the CGI, or the kid friendly nature of it....im not sure
Beneath this mask there is more than flesh. Beneath this mask there is an idea, Mr. Creedy, and ideas are bulletproof.
September 7, 2008 6:57 pm # The old ones are better beause the actors/actresses actually did ACT. There were less CG's, meaning people had to work with what they had. It turned out to be the best sci-fi movies of the century.

I think it might be because we're older. I saw the original trilogy when I was five, and the prequels at least five years later. Episode 1 was amazing, and ROTS just so-so great.
But, on the other hand. I will agree that the acting was better in the original trilogy. Boba Fett still had an awesome voice too.

September 8, 2008 1:46 am # I've never complained about the kid friendlyness of any of the movies. What everyone seems to forget is that there was nothing in the original trilogy that is kid UN-friendly...
I agree with A_A
Lucas went WAY overboard in the kid friendly settings in Ep. I. One of the things I love about the original trilogy is that it's very much like a classic movie of the silver screen: it's not really a kid movie, yet it's a movie you'd love to take your kids to go see. It's a movie for any generation really. Lucas failed *or didn't even try* to achieve that 'ageless' quality the original movies had and turned Ep. I into a typical, modern, stilly kid show. The other 2 were progressivly better, though as we all know the acting sucked from some of the key players.

September 9, 2008 2:20 pm # I noticed also that little children found Genral Gevous (spelling) very cool.
September 10, 2008 6:26 pm # I am not complaining about Lucas making Star Wars "kid friendly" so long as it is not bone-headed dumb and irrelevent to the story aka Jar Jar Binks or sarcastic droids.

September 10, 2008 7:33 pm # Hey, I actually like Jar Jar...I like to blame him for the clone wars! Anyway, people are right, the originals were ageless, the new ones, varied, to say the least. Especially the newest one. From what I've heard in reviews from other SW sites, not so good...

Hey! I Love sarcastic droids! They're funny! :P It's the stupid ones, both in sound and brains, that got on my nerves. Otherwise I totally agree. Lucas didn't make the new Ep.s more kid friendly....it's not like Ep. 4-6 were kid UNfriendly; he just dumbed the new ones done in a lame ATTEMPT to be more kid friendly me thinks.
