Topic: Fan Forum, could use some sub-forums?

Why not create sub-forums in the Fans section? No offense, but it's so unorganized and hard to navigate. I'd say it's also one of the most active areas of the forum, and because of this, old topics are bumped down and ignored, while the same/similar topics are made again and again.

So, why not create sub forums for different topics relating to fans like "Health and wellness" (for those topics about personal subjects and lifestyles), "mulitmedia" (for discussions on non-SW movies, videogames, TV, and music), "debates and current events" (for news and worldly discussion), or something along the line of that.

Then again, I don't know if it can be done on this forum, but it should be looked into. It'd make things a lot more organized and easier to find. ;)

Not a bad idea, but it is Aaron who has to power to change that :P

It's not immediately possible with this web application. The only option would be creating additional "Fans" forum and calling it out separately, i.e. "Fans - ..."

Whatever we end up doing, please don't do what TFN or sw.com do! I used to be a big poster at sw.com, I went for at least an hour or two every day and everyone knew me and it was fun and I loved it. And then they changed their menu layout and I haven't been back since. For example: http://forums.starwars.com

TF.N and SW.com have never and will never be model examples for BFFC.

Well i see the point here. Fans is an unorganized sea of topics, the new ones climbing over the bodies of the ones that were new a few days, if not hours ago.  Sub sections would be useful, just dont go overboard with them. And if it does ever happen, You should keep a kind of general fans section, like it is, just with links to the sub sections on top, like sticky topics.

That's too bad, I'm not familiar at all with this type of forum, so I wasn't sure if sub-forums could even be added since there are none to begin with. Ah well, hopefully it can be implemented sometime in the future.
