August 12, 2008 5:08 pm (Edited August 12, 2008 05:12 pm) # Karen Traviss has officially announced that she will write a 5th book in the Republic Commando book series! The title is Imperial Commando, and judging by the name of the book, I'm guessing that it will take place during the Empire.

Order 66 (comes out on September 16th)
Imperial Commando (Comes out at an unknown date, most likely 2009)

I get the impression that there will be a face off between Delta and Omega squads. It's building towards that. Perhaps Etain's life will be in the hands of Delta squad...

I was thinking the same thing, because it looks like they are starting to feel different about some core issues. The end of True Colors made me think that Delta would be loyal to the Chancelor much more so than Omega squads ( and certainly not the Nulls) who are loyal to Sikirata ( i don't know if I spelled that right) and their brothers first.
Order 66 could also finally answer what happens to Sev ( I think it was sev....) at the end of the RC game. That would make my day.
I am so excited! I really can't wait as the RC books are truely my favorite out of all the EU books. And so a 5th book totally makes my day. Oooh I'm so excited Im going to go home and start reading them again!

I wouldn't be surprised to see that. Whatever the case, I'm psyched, though not shocked. She knows how popular these books are.
