Okay. Seriously. This is a Boba Fett/Star Wars Message Board. Why do we care about Vegetable Gardens? Favorite *30 different random things*? Eh? Seriously. N00bs just trying to get as many posts as possible. I for one, find it annoying. Half the topics on this message board are in fans, which most are useless, asking random stuff. I know that the Fans section is for that...but really? I know I'm not the only one who is thinking this.

I am a Role Playing Gamer, like my father before me.
Yep. Unless it's something that really will contribute to discussion I don't see a point. And especially not a hundred different ones all at once. Maybe once every so often would be good, but not the entire first page.

I stand with Rev. Some of these topics are really getting out of hand. I'm not going to name people, but some of you noobs are like "Yay! I have made over 50 topics!" and you just joined a couple months ago. I have been here 2 YEARS, and I haven't even made 10 topics.
Please stop posting these pointless topics. It is getting on several people's nerves, including mine.
I agree. I think I've made maybe five topics, two of which were semi-successful RPGs. Others were things I thought might be things that people could discuss, and would want to discuss, maturely. Just stop with the random topics. Jeez.
--Captain Dynamic--
I agree. I try to think through things before I make a topic, (I think I've made 4). I don't like it when people just try to get a lot of stars, no matter what.
I agree. More thought before posting.
I have been thinking about starting a new topic, but I have been put off doing so for now by the amount of new topics.

Are you refering to me and green
more to glopino, but you and green are included.
heh, i am not wanted here aparently
I've been here for 8 years and have made at most ten topics. Maaaaaaybe 13-15. But certainly not more.
And, Revan, of course you're wanted here. Everyone is. :)

I hear ya.
The Fans section *as I understand it* IS for sharing things that are off topic with the main theme of the site to see if others like the same thing*i.e. who likes LotR, non-SW games and books, etc.* and also for us to get to know each other better *threads like 'How old are you, pics of yourself, etc.*
HOWEVER, the total randomness and 'off the wall' topics that are getting thown onto the boards ever Single DAY is really getting on everybody's nerves. And as Fett_II pointed out, not only are the threads often totally random, they are many times threads that ask questions that are already up! That's even more annoying.
Why don't you new members who love so much to post on that sort of thing search the old Fans threads and bring them back to life?? There's a ton of great threads that have been burried either because the members at the time had shared their veiws and had nothing more to say at that time, or were just forgoten.
Take the time to think about whether or not the thread you have in mind would bring something interesting to the site before you create it, and at least try to check and see if maybe it's already up

Very well put RD. I agree very much so. This could even be a warning for members in the future. Ie PLEASE think about what we post BEFORE you post it. I have always thought of the BFFC as being an intelligent and "classy" ( for lack of a better word) message boards. When there are multiple random topics, that are over all, not thought invoking for anyone, it becomes boring. And thats not why any one of us here; we are here to have fun and NOT be bored by banality. Can anyone here imagine Boba saying some of these topics? No i didn't think so.

Boba would approve of this message...........take heed, or he shall HUNT YOU DOWN!!!!!!
I don't know what to say. Fans message board is going down and gets boring,new members post random things...BFFC don't need any random! Let's stop making useless threads like "What is your favourite - ?" etc.
I agree with rev,Si and RD.

It's kind of ironic. I was just poking my head over in the FANS threads (haven't checked it in a while) and noticed the same thing and actually brought this up to the rest of the mods a few minutes ago on the Admin threads. I totally agree with you on these not being necessary. I think this comes close to violating the Spam clause in the rules, but I've asked for clarification on it. It seems like an attempt at boosting ones posting stats or something. I've seen the same thing happen over at the Red vs Blue site a few times. Either way, you're definitely not the only ones who've noticed and your concerns have been noted and channeled up. Thanks for voicing your concerns guys.

If you want to talk about fett there is the general section and bounty hunter and film and television
Well, asking random questions in the Fan section, which is basically like a Chit-Chat section, isn't bad. I mean, look at the RP section. They have stuff like "Trees vs. Bushes" What does that have to do with Star Wars? Absolutly nothing.
So, all in all, unless your Spamming up the boards with rapid fire posts, I see no harm in random questions in the Fan section.

very well said

The first four forums on the boards' home page, under the heading "Boba Fett," are for discussion about that headline. They include:
* General
* Film and Television
* Bounty Hunters
* Serious Geeking
The second five forums, under the heading "Boba Fett fandom," are more open-ended with the "Fans" forum being the most lax.

I'm gonna have to completely disagree with you there. Random rapid fire topics are just as bad as rapid fire posts...if not worse.

Yeah...that can also fall under what I said. Posts...Topics...what have you.

It's just n00bs trying to get on the top fans list.

For now, you've become so... like an angel here... I mean... There's nothing bad in that but... Looks like you are trying to get to a moderator... :|
And I know I am gonna get some minus karma about this post...
In topic... I agree with... Well, whatever! Before I would say that those "favourite" -topics are Ok, but not anymore. They're annoying!

I see your point, however when one person makes a string of extremely specific topics, relating to a very specific genre of something it tends to clutter it up. They could just make a more general topic. that means theres less stuff to dig thought to find what you want

The random topics seemed to have stopped. I haven't seen one put up in days.
I havent made a topic in two weeks.
And dont use me as a damn reference!!!
GLOP, you make random topics, but not all the time, which is fine by me. I see your only trying to ask your curiosity of questions in the fans, like me. :)
I got almost 1000 posts, and not many, if any, about Boba or Star Wars. Made a few threads, all off-topic. I come here for the community.
I tend to like some of the off-topic threads. They allow us to get to know each other and discuss some, sometimes they allow other things. Not all the RPGs are about Star Wars, and I don't see anything wrong with that, think about the Oblivion RPG. Think about Val's new RPG. It doesn't need to be purely Boba / Star Wars to be good.
But I agree with what got said here, there's really too many redundant or pointless threads. And I agree with the suggestion Miba did on some other thread, a poll could take place to verify which most people really don't find necessary, and then a serious clean up could be done.
I havent made a topic in two weeks.
And dont use me as a damn reference!!!
You made 84 topics, and you joined in the April of this year. That's a lot.
Like terra said, there's no problem with non-SW topics. The pointless, super-specific ones are the problem. Those have apparantly stopped, though.
Youre right, Draco.
I will slow down on the topic making.
Alright, thanks.
Since the random topics stopped, I'm closing this. I'll open it if they start again.
