Have any of you seen the movies and read the books?

I have and they are great.

What do you think of them?

This belongs in Fans because it is not SW related.

I saw the first one, but I didn't like it that much

take it easy baby take it as it comes

Absolutely right.  Moving this to the Fans forum now.  Remember to always try to look at the description of the Forum to make sure you add any new Threads to their proper Forum.  Thanks guys.

And, we actually finally got to see the new film a few weeks ago before the left the theaters here.  Not too bad, but I really liked the first one better, I think.  This one didn't have as much of a "magical" feel to it, you know?  Although the fighting mice were pretty cool.  They reminded me of the old Tom and Jerry cartoon, where Jerry and his nephew are like Musketeers and, of course, Tom was the baddie.  I kept waiting for the mouse to say, "Touche' misure pussycat."

The first was ok, and I didn't see the 2nd. It seemed like it was trying to copy LOTR too much. I know, Lewis and Tolkein were friends, I've read all LOTR and most Narnia, just so long ago I don't remember much. I just think they should've waited on the Narnia movies, LOTR was still too fresh in my mind.

LotR was much better.

Never saw LOTR, but I have them gathering dust next to my VCR. The Narnia movies were OK. Not great, not bad, just OK.

I agree. It's almost as bad as not having seen any Star Wars. They are excellent movies, they will never be topped or remade.

By the way, Appo, I love your new avatar.

I didn't like it very much.  Liam Neeson is one of my favorite actors, so it was neat that he was the lion, but other then that I wasn't impressed.  I agree with MM; it was too soon after LotR; felt like a cheap attempt to cash in on the LotR style of fantasy story.

I thought the first movie was terrific and the second was...ok

The second had no magic like the first did and the bad dude was hardly menacing like the white witch was.

And dispite what happens in the movie the white witch was not in the book of prince caspian

Im sorry but, I just read through this topic now and that caught me off guard. I'm still laughing. I was like, "wait what?" before I noticed it was changed.
