Sorted by oldest to newestEither a lightsaber, or twin WESTAR-33 blaster pistols if you mean in SW.
In real life, probably an MP5 or a Barret M-107.
Isn't there already like 20 of these topics? Bah, I'll just let Draco deal with it.

Oh yeah sorry I mean real life
Whoopsie Daisies......a lot of those posts are SW w.o.c.'s though
helmet spikes :)
Hmmm... Lightsaber, DC-17, EE-3 (SWBF-2), and in other fiction, a chainsword would be cool. In real life, Probably an A-10 Warthog (Thunderbolt) with tank-destroying gatling gun. Pwnage.
Lightsaber,EE-3 carbine rifle.
In SW either a DL-44 or EE-3, in real life an M1911
MG-42!!!!! B.A.R. Bowie knife
Umm... As Karson said, there are many topics like this but...
Metal turned WAY up. If you don't think that's threatening, go to a Manowar concert.

1911 all the way.......a pair of them......with extended barrels and slides.......and throw in an M-14 or Thompson sub-machine gun

YEAH OOO-RAHH!
there's a class in Call of Duty 4 which features a 1911 and an M-21, an improved version of the M-14
Ahhhhhhhhh, the M-21. Sniper version. I shall have one some day..........
I don't need a weapon. I am a weapon. Just like a wookiee.
"Suggestion: Electrocution works well. Evisceration and Decapitation are also effective, or um, so I've heard."
The M-4 with all the trim and a shorty barrel are hard to beat in room to room clearing, small enough to manuever with and still able to drill holes through out a courtyard with uncanny accuracy, but there is something to be said about the M2 heavy machine gun, it ruins people's days.
My all time favorite, while somewhat impractical to using up close and personal is the M18-A1 claymore, whoever invented that is in hell somewhere, it is evil, but in the good way.
Hmm....Energy sword, Battle rifle, SPUNKr, and say, an M808-Main Battle Tank. And maybe a Scarab.
--Captain Dynamic--
a beaker full of anthrax and a CD single of the Spice Girls, "Wannabe"
potently effective...

to quote Han Solo "Ancient weapons and hokey religions are no match for a good blaster at your side" I'll take a nice pair of WESTARS any day.

Thompson are awesome!!!!! I like colt .45s too. I think that I wouldn't want to have huge slide on my gun
1911s are an incredible weapon and proven over and over again in combat. Despite all of the evidence form "people who shoot people" the military insists on an inferior 9mm round that is interchangeable with our NATO allies. While I would prefer to be shot with neither, people in the know swear by the .45 as the weapon of choice despite their limited round magazines. On another note, the grip is easier for a smaller hand to hold, so it is an easier weapon to put rounds in the KILL ZONE.
THOMPSONS were a great weapon, but the MP5 is far superior, despite my arguments above championing the .45 over the 9mm. It's size, multi employments, track record and rates of fire make it the weapon of choice for a sub machine gun.
The semi-auto M-14/M-21 is an amazing weapon also. One of the Marine recruiters who was helping me prepare for my failed attemt to join the USMC was his squad's designated marksman back when he was still in combat arms and had one. Sweet gun; and a real hair splitter in the right hands
There are obviously better ones by now, but I love M16s.

Absolutely right Viking. And regarding the limited round magazine, well, 8 shots from 45 ACP are better than 13 shots from 9mm wouldn't you agree?
I would. Unless you get a head shot, it takes anywhere from 3 to a whole clip load of 9mm to put a badie down. You get hit with a .45, and you're bitting dust......in a hurry

The M16 has since evolved into the M4 Carbine used by SPEC OPS and is a very functional weapon and has been winning battles for nearly 50 years. As with any piece of hardware, it is the user that makes the difference.
Footnote, but it is now known as the "musket" due to its gigantic build compared to its newer, sleeker off spring.
S far as pistols go, it more important the shot placement, but once again. People who shot people, swear by the .45 as their weapon of choice. For home defense, I'd still recommend the GLOCK series due to it's lower cost, and ease of operration.
That an a shotty, aka the "Room broom". Deadbolt you in the kids in their room and when the handles turn, BLAM BLAM all the COPS and the morgue.
That was supposed to be "CALL the cops and the morgue"
Just use the edit button on the bottom right corner of your posts. You can fix and add anything you want that way. pretty convenient.
I am a Role Playing Gamer, like my father before me.
I would choose the sniper crowbar. For long range bludgeoning.
M9 Pistol. Duel wield=pwnage.
As much as I love Colt .45s, they only have 8 bullets per mag. M9 has almost double the capacity, but the bullets are smaller. However, most people won't keep fighting when they have any kind of bullet stuck inside them.
M-21 sniper, preferably silenced and a good old-fashioned AK-47 are close seconds, but I'm a guy who likes his pistols.
Haha a squirt gun, because I am badass pacifist!
