I watched Starship Troopers last night and it was horible.

the plot was lame and there was so much gore.

Starship Troopers is one of the worst movies ever

What?????

You have issues, that movies great....Though the sequel blows and the book is much better

As for gore, have you been in a theater lately? Saw and Untraceable were much worse

i have to side w/ AA here.
the movie is campy, and strikes a strange tone- between the gore and political propaganda film.
but for its time the effects were tight, and i kinda hope the "gears of war" movie will channel some of the
action from this flick.
an odd movie, but not bad.

i completely agree with AA.

the first one was okay, the second one sucked...and...sorry AA , they are making another one.
starship troopers 3-marauders is the title.
if you want i could send you the trailer.

I can name movies that have much more blood in them, why are you watching scifi/war movies if your so sensitive about blood?

Maybe if i'm lucky it might be more like the book, I'll probably try to see it even if it sucks

I must say I hated Starship Troopers the first time I saw it. Bad acting, bad plot, extremely gory. But for some reason I saw it a second time and just laughed at how corny it was.

Many Sci-Fi guys dislike the movie dur to their deep affection for the book, which was a masterpiece due to it's "spot on" politics and recreation for airborne operations (the guy was a paratrooper).

I loved the movie, not just for the co-ed showers, but for the great quotes

"I only have one rule: every body fights, no body quit.  Don't do your job, I'll kill you myself."

or

"Rico, I need a new Sergeant, you're it till you're dead or I find someone better."

Awesome liners and if you look into some of the politico tones it is entertaining and thought stimulating (yeah I said that).

"why do we need knifes if we can just press a button?" :P

The book was much better, it may not be the best movie, but I still like it, and the sequel was very lame....
And if you read the book i'm sure you will find it much better.

Starship Troopers is by far one of the stupidest movies I have ever seen.... Ever.

With that said, I enjoyed the movie. If you take it seriously you are obviosuly going to have problems with any movie like this. It is extremely exaggerated to a laughable degree, which is what makes it fun to watch.

Dizzy: My mother always told me that violence doesn't solve anything.
Jean Rasczak: Really? I wonder what the city founders of Hiroshima would have to say about that.
[to Carmen]
Jean Rasczak: You.
Carmen: They wouldn't say anything. Hiroshima was destroyed.

Good... Bad... I'm the one with the gun.

I have some buddies with a shirt that state something similar to that:

"If violence hasn't solved your problems, you aren't using enough of it"

Blunt force trauma and repition will solve almost any dispute, one way or the other.  A shame that isn't the UN response to dictators.
