Just thought you'd like to see a set of Boba Fett armour I'm making come to life...
The armour includes accurate placement of the dents and details consistent with the armour worn in Return Of The Jedi.
The armour in it's primed state ready to paint:

The knees and knee dart launchers:

I'll update this here and here: http://www.kotemandos.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=157&pid=1247&st=0&#entry1247as I get chance to.

The armour has now had the base colour of silver applied and has the larger areas of weathering masked off ready for the next colour which is yellow. The shoulder bells have been painted light yellow ready for a coat of yellow then a yellow and orange mix.

For those interested below is part of a set of Jango's armour, which has been Rub n Buffed the correct colour and weathered. Whilst there are major similarities, you can clearly see the differences between the shapes of father and sons armour.

Not sure about Orthar, but I got mine from eBay.  There's a couple of sellers there who always have some in stock.  The cheap stuff *like I got* will run you about $45 counting shipping; maybe a little less; it's made of just plastic, is unpainted at all, and doesn't include the COD/butt plates *there may be a new seller who does include those pieces and more, but they looked even worse quality to me.*  The better stuff is will run you over $100, but is made of fiberglass, comes with most all the parts, and is given a gel coating in either white or black.

I can link you if need be

I make them. Nothing I've seen on Ebay is close to accurate for either Fett so...

Next pic:

Still need to paint it with a darker green over the top of the existing green, add the decals and dirty it up a bit.

Wow...so damn cool. You're doing this all on your own Orthar?

Yes. I've made, shaped and painted all the armour, myself.

Awesome.... where did you get the metal for the armor pieces and how did you shape them?

Despite appearances the armour is not metal but in fact Sintra. It's carefully painted so that it looks metal before being painted in the correct colours for Boba. The same technique was used to paint my own armour, as well as the armour I've made for other people.

What is Sintra, may I ask? A plastic?

I think it is.....Is it durable?

Sintra is the brand name of a type of plastic known as Foamed PVC. In the UK it is also known as Foamex. It's light and can be cut using a saw. It has the advantage in armour making of being pliable when heated and once cool it will retain its new shape. It's commonly used by sign-writers.
I use it to make all the armour I make, this includes full Mando armour to jetpacks, blaster rifles and pistols. In five years of costuming I've only ever had to replace the knee armour 2 times (the knees are the weakest point on the costume). The thicker sintra (5mm or above) are very durable and can take impacts without breaking or being damaged, 3mm sintra is best used for detail on top of 5mm sintra.

So you make armor for other ppl? Hmmmmm....can I make a request? I wouldn't want the whole job though, just the armor pieces crafted out of the sintra but unpainted so I could do that myself.

Yes I do, making the armour without painting it is easy to do (I simply prime it). Email me at orthar_rrith@hotmail.com with details of exactly what you want and we can go from there. That's also my MSN addy if you want to discuss anything regarding it.

Uh-oh. You have no idea what you just did! lol JK I hope you don't get spamed with requests. I would like to try and make my own and if I fail at that I might ask for some of the tricky stuff. What do you use to heat the "Foamed PVC"? I have made a lot of weapons using PVC pipe but this is the 1st time I've head about "Foamed PVC" can you get it at any hard wear store? Thank you for posting this! you should do a tutorial on this and have Aron make a link on the site to it.

You need a decent Heat Gun in order to heat the Sintra, you simply have to be careful to get the piece hot enough to bend into shape using a former but not so hot you melt it or it catches fire! Some people use boiling water but given that it's boiling the chances of getting scolded are high! What ever you do do not place the sintra in the oven or heat it indoors... it is plastic and can give off cyanide gas.

You can order it online or go to your local sign-writers and ask them.

I'd be happy to if people think there's a demand for the information.
