Topic: Jango Fett vs. General Greivous.

A battle between Dooku's two greatest henchmen, Jango Fett and General Greivous.  And before any of you say "Well, Greivous beat Boba in Boba Fett: A new threat, so he could also beat Jango," consider first these facts.

1. Boba was still young and relatively inexperienced at the time.

2. Boba did not anticipate that Greivous would be there.

3. Boba was badly outnumbered, Greivous had the help of three of his droid bodyguards, which could kill Jedi, and he also had the help of Wat Tambor.

So, all things considered, I think that a battle between Jango and Greivous would be very titanic and destructive, resulting in immense civilian casualties.  Remember, Obi-wan beat Greivous, and Jango beat Obi-wan, so  I think that Jango would win, but just barely, and badly wounded.

Yeah, Boba was a boy in A New Threat, he didnt know Grievous would be thier, and he had the help of (what I thought were two) bodygaurds and Wat Tembor. Obi-Wan Kenobi couldn't beat Jango if he tried 1,000,000,000 times! But Obi-Wan killed Grievous, so I think that would put Grievous on low standards..........if ya know what I'm tryin to say.

General Grievous before he took that hit in the chest back in the clone wars cartoon could probably beat Boba. He's flippin around like a monkey, avoiding this and that. The Greivous from Episode 3 was a little letharjic

You all do realize that Boba bested Durge at a young age, and he killed Mandalorians for fun?

Yes, but, I'm saying the cartoon General is better than the true general. And thus, Boba wins...in my mind

Jango or Grievous....I hate them both so much. Jango should've been killed by Obi-Wan, but he ran away like the coward he is, and Grievous apparently has lung cancer. If there was any good in the Star Wars universe, Jango would kill Grievous, and then, seeing as he's such a bad shot, he'd somehow manage to shoot himself - in the face...twice. But with those sissy Westars that might not even do the trick.

I know, that drives me nuts!  I had to have people explaining to me why he kept coughing (during the midnight showing, which didn't make everyone else very happy.)
I'm going to say Jango on this one, because I think Boba could have taken him under better circumstances, and if Obi-Wan could beat GG, then so could Jango.  But it would be a very close fight.

I love Grievous!! And his coughing. Seriously, it's a funny little quirk that makes me crack up each time I watch ROTS. If Jango fought Grievous without wearing his jet-pack, I think tht he'd probably win.

And does anyone besides me think that the death of Grievous erred on the side of anti-climactic?

i think that the move greivous sucks. the cartoon and comic one could beat jango but the move one would lose to a youngling.

DEFINITELY.  I was so looking forward to him after the Clone Wars cartoon, and he was a serious disappointment.

i think jango would best him....i don't have much respect for grevious...never did.

Yeah......I agree. I thought he was a little disapointing in the movies. When you read about Grievous elsewhere, he's so big and bad. But then you see the movies, and he's just a general with a couple sabers! But I do like the sick, roboty, voice. :)

His voice is pretty cool.....his cough gets soo annoying though that it ruins the charactor for me.... get a cough drop or cough med. for goodness sake. (actually, it might b better to just get a lung transplant)

Either Grevious had a cold, was a smoker, or something went wrong with the cyborg transplant.

Jango could best the movie Greivous one- handed but the book Greivous would probably win.

I always thought that the cough was a form of foreshadow. When you cough, your coughing up acid. And when Obi-Wan blasted him in the chest........he blew up in lames due to the acid in his heart......or whatever. Thats what I always thought, but I dont know if it's true or not.

i peosonally think that jango would win, all Greivous has is some lightsabers, jango: wester 34's, wrist rocket, jetpack rocket, probably a couple grenades, shall i go on?   hehe

Yes, but the book Greivous could just drop down from the roof and slice the heck outta fett while fett shoots maybe thrice

And on the way down from the roof, Jango would grab his arm and judo flip him to the ground, then finish the job with his jetpack missle.

it doesn't take that much to bring the "foul beast" to the ground....i think the shots would be enough. Even if it wasn't spidey fett is right when he says the jetpack rocket would easily finish the job...

The ONLY THING.......that jango has to do, is point and shoot a couple in his chest, and he's done!

Greivous could do his lightning fast lightsaber twirl and block them possibly...ya never know.

Grevious annoyed me slightly in ROTS but I think Jango's "jet pack rocket, 1 shot of death coming right up" method may be easily dodged. His darts would'nt do jack to that thik armour plating unless he nailed him right in the eye socket. Plus GG has the whole mechanical hand to hand combat advantage. Flesh vs Steel we saw how Obi was getting his ass kicked in close qaurters combat. Plus he does that spider thing with his legs and arms

I think Jango would win by an inch. But he would be baring a nice collection of scars after the face off. Maybe minus a hand or an arm. Oh yeh and did anyone feel like Jango Fett’s character was cheapened with such an anti climatic death in AOTC?

It kind of was anti climatic.

Grievous is a bit of a coward so he'd probably run before Jango got a chance to really fight.
I guess that would indicate that JAngo would win?

BOBA lost to grievous because he was young,inexperienced,grievous had help from his body guards and Boba didnt know he was gonna see grievous there.In a 1 on 1 battle Boba would win and so would jango. But it wouldn't be easy for them. They would have to use all the tricks in the book to beat grievous but i think they could do it!!!

Actually, I dont agree.  Obi-Wan defeated Greivious, and Jango is better than Obi-Wan, and so is Boba. I think Greivious would be easy to beat.
