Topic: starwars sketch art...

hello again, as some of u know-i have been a big fan of the star wars swoop scum- more specifically "Spiker."
here is a mock cover i inked, the deft coloring is done by none other than Pheonix023.

from left to right- Spiker, Gizman, and Onoh.
if ur familiar w/ the comic "the jabba tape" or "sand blasted", then u know the antics of these characters.
note worthy-i feel like im actually sorting out line weight after all these years. but i still need to work on shading,
alot of my work reads flat.

...and yes Spiker is armed w/ a finger gun :P

cujo u think u could do a cross of a Predator and a Mandalorian? Like mixing armor, weapons, etc.

no problem Fett2, the last pic has a bunch of weapons do u want him holding some of them?
do y want a mando helmet or predator mask or mix on him?

mix, something like the predator helm with the T-visor and antenna. and the weapons, find a way to combine them (e.g. boba gauntlets with predator blades on one side, predator gauntlets with flamethrower on the other). have fun creating it. and those pics have several poses you can choose from, or make your own pose.

I love all the SW characters, but Boba and Han are my favs.

So, I thought I'd just go with one of your simpler ones to begin with. Let me know what you think of it. It's flat; I'm doing another one with shading to see which style I like better. I thought the flat worked, though, 'cause it lent it a very comic-book like style. Hope it's ok.

Ok, I havent decided yet, sorry. I've been thinking of something with Indiana Jones mixing with something else, like the Predator Mando. but not a splicing of characters but like a scene in which Indy encounters something from the Star Wars universe or which ever universe, idk yet. Got any ideas? (this questions for everyone)

Really nice work Femme! both here and in the other pics you posted.  My only critisizim here would be,

#1. thats not the right coloration for that Boba, as that's the animated one, but no biggy, as what you is MUCH much better

#2. Since you went with the green Boba, you forgot the Red visor.  This would be my only real concern for that pic, as the red visor really adds an affect that's missing in your pic. 

Otherwise excelent work!!!

Oh, I knew I was missing something! I was working from pictures to try and get all the colors right. I'll add the red visor into the shaded version I'm working on!

Oh he means that it is a picture of boba from the SW holiday special....blue and yellow armor.

to Val's question.. I like the idea of Indy meeting the Mandator (it's what I call him) in a jungle setting.. like he's just pushing some leaves out of his way and BAM! Mandator standing right there, as if ready to fight to the death.

Ooooh... I get it. Sorry, I've actually never seen the Holiday Special... Is it any good? (Sorry if that's a bit off-topic...)

well the part with Boba is cool, but the rest = NO.

sorry for the delayed response i was on a surfing trip (yay)-got ragdolled abit by some of the big waves...time to relax.
the Holiday Special was horrid-but i have a softspot for nostalgia. FF93 u can always PM me about questions on coloring-but otherwise feel free to color how ever you like. practicing is always a good thing. im gonna do some art this weekend, so hopefully there will be some more to work w/.

Hope I didn't sound like I was tearing your work down or anything; it looks really great!  Missing the red visor was the only thing I really wanted to point out in case you forgot it, if you left it off on purpose that's your call, and looks very good even without it.

About that being the Holliday Special version, I wasn't sure if you painted him in the movies colors on purpose or not; was just pointing that out in case you wanted to make a stab at painting that figure in the original colors *glad that you didn't though; yours looks MUCH better then the HS cartoon.*

Can't wait to see more pics  :)

Interesting...That gives me an idea. Perhaps Indy is digging or lurking through a lost temple ruin and comes across the ancient mask of a predator? gasp! Whats THAT doing here? Who knows...but the shadow of a LIVE predator can be seen behind the unsuspecting Indy who is observing the ancient mask thats on a pedastal or something. What do you think Cujo? Oh and part of me mkinda prefers Indy's face not to be seen since I always feel like no one gets it right. It could he in the shadow of his fedora of he could just have his back to us. or if you want to take a shot at getting his rugged cocky look go ahead I trust you.

Wow, I am beyond the belief of the word "inspired". cujo, you have some serious talent which should be directed in the world of comics or SOMETHING! I've seen your type of artwork in many comics, and the style has made it very interesting and appreciative of each stroke of genius thats on the paper. Your extreemly talented cujo and I seriously like your work. The first couple of sketches in the first page of this thread reallly caught my attention. I loved the sketches of Dengar, Boba, Bossk, and Spiker! And I too see Dengar as a smoker...........it just.............seems to be HIM, ya know? Great style, thats the most unique part of your work. Keep them coming because I am now anticipating coming back and seeing your updates. ;)

BTW, I read you make a quote on a 2Pac song......"Something Wicked"...........Something Wicked This Way Comes?........is that right? If you have a great appreciation and love for 2Pac's music, PLEASE.........PM ME! It would be nice to share perspectives on 2Pac as well as Boba for a change. :D PLUS I have a cool forum for you to check out if this theory of mine is true. Let me know cujo. ;)
