Hey, Its me, GLOPINO wanting to know, What do you think is better?, Metal Gear Solid, Or Halo?

Considering theres only 1 MGS game for Xbox (according to my brother, I don't know or care)....never played MGS, and don't care. I love Halo though.

I agree with Revan. ;) If you don't know what MGS is or looklikes or haven't played it,you can't rate. ;) btw,MGS is pretty cool and good game and brings good memories to me.Halo doesn't bring memories. MGS,all the way. :D

MGS. i never got into Halo, plus i like the MGS storyline better.

I have Halo I and Halo II on Xbox.

MGS all the way, hands down. Halo is a joke next to MGS, childs play even. Solid or Naked Snake would destroy Masterchief so badly he would implode of the awesome-ness of how he got killed. What can Masterchief do? Jump high? Hit you with his gun? gimme a break, the Snake's are killing machines, the perfect soldiers whos sole skill is decimating armies of Masterchiefs. The MGS series wipes the floor with Halo. Its story and intricate plot stir up emotion and enthrall you into the tale of the Snakes and the Metal Gears. Combat is unparalled and gameplay is second to none. Halo is blown out of the water by MGS any place, any time.

Even though Metal Gear Solid is a great game, I still like Halo better.

MGS definitely, for pure gameplay experience alone nothing can touch it & Halo 2 & 3 are so overated. The 1st Halo was a decent game (worthy of being in the best games of all time) but 2 & 3 were just $ makers for Microsoft (only worth playing for multiplayer)
Whereas each MGS has  brilliant gameplay & an enthralling story. Thats my opinion anyway :D

As to Snake beating the Chief--impossible, for any none-augmented human, or a mutant. Not in hand to hand. Or just personal combat. A Spartan in MJOLNIR Armor has a reaction time 1/6th human norm under stress. Bones are nigh unbreakable, a Spartan in armor can lift multi-ton objects, and sprint over 50 kph. Plus a nearly invincible suit. Well armed, well trained--no unaltered human could take down a Spartan in personal combat.

then again WV, the Snakes aren't exactly unaltered.

I wouldn't know--how exactly, because the Spartan augmentation was VERY extensive.

And yet, Snake has beaten a Metal Gear....but no some clone in a super suit is gonna stop him. The guy in the suit, is gonna kill the guy who lives just to beat guys in those super suits. Gimmer a break. I dont care what Masterchief has or can do. Have you played the MGS series? Have you seen the enemies he's defeated? One name: Psyco Mantis.

Yes.  I'd say Chief is better than Snake.  But then again my opninion is kind of biased.  But looking at the evidence I'd say Chief outperforms Snake by a lot.

Then this is pointless since your opinion only has your experience of Halo to back it up. But here are a few pics of my own :D

First up, this is in response to those big guys Masterchief has beaten. The brutes and Tartarus:

Secondly, no enemy Masterchief has ever faced matches up to this guy. This dude hacks into your gamestation itself:

Psycho Mantis is a psychic expert for the FOXHOUND unit. Prior to joining FOXHOUND, he worked with the KGB and the FBI. His special abilities include the psychic powers of psychokinesis and telepathy. In Metal Gear Solid Mantis encounters Snake twice, the first time he takes control of Meryl's mind, the second encounter he and Snake do battle, with Mantis being defeated.

Now this nefarious team would also wipe the floor with some as simpleminded as Masterchief, the Cbra Unit:

This is in respose to the wraiths, Halos and other big things that Masterchief just shot at till it exploded. These enemies require a tad more than that. And Snake has beat them all.

That makes sense. And Val, the stuff MC shot at till it exploded was shooting back too. With a WHOLE lot more firepower than he had.

So, the power to send a nuke anywhere in the world (I did a tad bit of research), or the ability to wipe out every living thing in the galaxy? By the way, Scarabs have 90 foot tall legs. They're bigger than anything else. Cept Halo and the Covenant Destroyers. But its the whole super strong, 1/6 reaction time thing that would really tell--Snake may be awesome, I won't say he isn't, whether I know or not, but the Chief is simply too fast and too strong. Close or far, Snake wouldn't stand a chance against a Spartan.

I agree. Chief would outrun, outgun, and pummel Snake into the ground. Snake is still way cool, though.

Nope. I will never...ever....ever believe that Masterchief would beat Snake 1 on 1. Theres no way. Snake is such a killing machine... His Close Quarters Combat would be used to counter MC's speed and strength. Several of those enemy bosses Snake has beaten had super strength, speed, both, or some other super ability. Yet Snake defeated them through his sure knowledge and adaptability of the battle field. He is a soldier through and through: the BEST soldier. Snake would find a way no matter what. His whole being and character is that of someone who bests all the opponents he meets on a battlefield, any kind or type of soldier imaginable. Masterchief just seems like someone that would provide Snake with practice...

Well this is pretty much a pointless discussion.  From what it would seem Master Chief and Snake are exactly the same.  They both are the perfect killing machines.  And since there is no official movie saying who wins we will never know.

Haloid (Halo-Metroid) is a video made by some guy who replied to a "Who would win in a fight? Master Chief or Samus Aran?" Everyone knows that Samus would beat Chief, the video was mad cool, but the ending sucks, like Sev said for me.

The thing about Halo is the lack of realism, they had to favor Gameplay balance over it.
For instance, the 8 Gauge Magnum Shotgun from Halo 2 and 3. I happen to know for a fact that a standard 2 3/4 12 Gauge 00 Buck at 40 yards still has killing power. Halo 2-3 shotgun...10 yards at the most. Now, I'm not sure what kind of crazyness is going on with that, but if that's how the guns work in Halo cannonically, so be it.

But 10 yards to what? A Spartan? They're shielded and their armor is also extremely tough against bullets. Elites? They're also tough, armored, and shielded. Brutes? Even tougher, sometimes shielded, always armored. They're toughness is coupled with a primitive mind which means they can keep going even when they're technically dead. Flood? They're scarcely technically alive, and damage to their host body doesn't affect them the way it would affect the actual being when it was alive. In Halo, the beings are simply better armored and are tougher. Halo's somewhat unrealistic in many areas, but weapon power and effects can be explained.
