Is anyone going to see it? I might. It looks totally amazing.....

Still, I wonder why there are now " Two " Hulk films?

Yes, I would like to go see it. I watched the animated Marvel comic series when I was a kid back in 1979.

the hulk movie looks amazing!
when you think of it an angry half naked green man destroying things isn't a good premise for a movie, but the new one looks like they did a pretty good job.

yeah the old one was a piece of crap. this one is more to the comics, and Edward Norton is a good actor.

This one is not really a sequel.  But a reboot.  That's how Marvel put it.  Because the lack of villains in the last one sucked.  Not a fan of the Blonksy origin but it will work.

I hated the first one. The Hulk has never been too interesting to me.

take it easy baby take it as it comes

Should I see the old one, guys?

I have never seen the first one, but I knew there was one. :)

No. Just go see the new one, and only that one. It comes out in a few hours.

The Hulk is one of the coolest guys ever.  He has the potential to be more powerful than Superman.

He is stronger (and cooler) then Superman.

June 13, 2008 11:04 am #

Actually, Superman is stronger, the Hulk has many weaknesses. But we like the Hulk more cuz he's green. (originally gray)

June 13, 2008 11:23 am #

I think I have a comic when he was gray.

June 13, 2008 1:54 pm #

i just saw it. not bad, better than the first at least.

If it's the original that would be worth in the hundreds.

Just watched it today.  I have to say I am quite pleased.

[Spoilers ahead.  You have been warned.]

First off they really didn't have to do a whole lot to outperform the old one.  A great deal less angst within Hulk and more fighting.  The entire fight sequence between Abomination and Hulk was absolutely amazing.  It was enthralling.  The fight scene was better than any scene in Ironman.  But overall I think Ironman was a better movie.  I was uber-excited when he pulled the classic sonic boom and was giddy in my seat when they threw in the Hulk Smash.  Classic.

I really wanted the purple pants on though.  Would have added another thing for all the nerds.  But did anyone else that knows comics catch the Samuel Sterns thing?  At first when I read the name and saw him, I didn't clue in, but when his head started growing it clicked.  Leader shall be making an appearance sooner or later.  Either in the Next Hulk if they do one or as a villain in The Avengers.

But overall it was quite a good movie.  Personally I wanted the purple pants to go on.

Well besides his origin and a little difference in appearance I was pleased.  What exactly do you mean?

Masterchief, your entire post is off-topic. Tisk, tisk...

As for the topic:

Just saw it. Much better than the previous. Ed Norton Jr. does a great job, along with the supporting cast. Rhythm and Hues did the CG, not ILM (which did the previous Hulk); I'm told it's much more realistic, especially the realistic weight and detailing.

saw it earlier this evening, and i echo the sentiment of Aaron and Sev, im not a huge hulk fan but was entertained.
and the action was intense- i had to make a concerted effort to keep from gritting my teeth.

i really enjoy the fact that marvel is so concerned w/ continuity fro the avengers movie-a cameo by stark.
lucas could take a few pointers.

I'm not really mad at that.  Hulk never killed Abomination in the comics.  Why would he do it now?

The Red Hulk killed Abomination but Rick Jones took his place as A-Bomb.

Speaking of the original series Aaron I was happy with Ferrigno's appearance.  He was ripped for a guy his age!  He must be around 60!

This is my thread, and I haven't seen the film yet.

Thanks, Green.

Green/Masterchief, by starting a topic, especially one about a major motion picture, it doesn't make it yours. The discussion is active.

Since the film is also open in theaters, I think it's fair game to post spoilers, even without the gracious effort of the members above saying "spoiler alert ..." and then dropping a note. We're already on page two now, too, so stop spoiling yourself.

Maybe you should go see the movie and then come back to discuss it with the rest of us?
