Topic: Do you like Cacti? ( cactus' )

My mum bought me one today in the garden center. ( Yes, I know....I was sick. from school. I had a bad sore throat )

I fell in love with one that had lots of spikes on it! :P

It was a green one, with white fur on it.

Yep, I love plants. I had a cactus once when I was really little (it was one of those little ones with the circular red tops. I can't explain it well) but I accidently overwatered it and it died.

I now have ferns, various flowers, herbs, vegetables, and a Ficas.  I want to get another cactus and maybe even another Ficas.

What are Ficas?

I too love plans. Cacti are great as they are easy to look after. they look really funky as well. I think I might have to get one to take a photograph of :D

I do not like flowers though as they seem pointless. I would prefer have a plant that flowers instead. I saw on a programme that there are plants that are more suitable for certain rooms. They survive better and improve the mood of the house. I cannot sadly remember what the most of them. I do remember that Aloe Vera is best suited for the kitchen. One of the good things about it is that it can be used in food preparation as well as its healing properties :D

I am looking after several trees in the kitchen. I have two oak trees, a pine tree and lots of sycamore saplings (I am going to plant the in the wood at the back of our home next year with my eldest son)

I think I will post a picture of them all tomorrow :D

Yes, I like cacti especially Christmas cacti so named because they blossom around the holiday season. I also love plants but would not consider myself to have a green thumb. My house as it so happens is surrounded by trees. It makes for great insulation and shading but picking up those twigs prior to mowing the lawn is a bit of work.
