I love Halo, but I must say, Call of Duty 4 is extremely spiffy, thanks to all of you evil people who got me addicted to my xbox :P you know who you people are ;)
Halo I, Halo II, SWBF2, KOTOR 1 ( I really love KOTOR 1 :D :) ) , Okami, Kingdom Hearts I and Guitar Hero III.
I think the topic needs clarification.. favorite VIDEO game... because I have favorite NON video games too... and the title could mean more than one type of answer.
My favorite video game has to be KOTOR because that really got me into 21 century gaming. I bought my first xbox just for that game (to start). Now I really love CoD4. (more so than Halo i think although that is a good game.)
Yup,Halo is great game, but its not my favourite.
Half-life2, HL2 ep 1, HL2 ep2, Portal (this is one of the best puzzle games there is.), Team Fortress II, Smash Bro's Brawl,Halo is OK I played Halo 1 and 2 and thought they were the best...then I played HL2 and now Halo looks like a cartoon with bad acting. Dark Messiah might and magic. Assassin's creed was a game I have wanted to play for a long time and I think it looks awesome but when I bought it it wouldn't work on my new (just bought it two days ago)
hp laptop with a duel core and everything...lame.
Aww I'm sorry to hear that. I say you return it and demand your money back Alo.
GTA 4, KOTOR I and II, and Halo.
I also enjoy Max Payne, Monkey Island and Hitman.
Forgot to say Medal of Honor.
Hmmm... Halo!!! Halo 1 for the story, and Halo 3 for the multi. I like the campaign of Call of Duty 4 alot, and the multiplayer is good, but Halo 3 in my opinion has the best multiplayer of almost anything. Close rivals for that would be Brawl, CoD4, and a few others. SWBF2 was good, and I like KOTOR alot. I'm in the middle of my first playthrough now, I couldn't find it anywhere for the longest time. Also, Marvel Ultimate Alliance is a great game too, I'm on my third playthrough now. Each time you play on a harder difficulty you get to keep your stats. My favorite matchup is Deadpool, Wolverine, Ghost Rider, and Blade.
LoL,I must to get live...live is so superb.Oh and SWBF2 you can play as Kit Fisto.Live.(Xbox only I think)
Play as Kit Fisto,I think its superb. And you get more maps with live. That is soo perfect.
I played HALO 2,lol,I hate those big aliens.Have to own them all!
>_< oh, how I hate grand theft auto so very much
My favorite game is pretty much tied between DOOM, SW Bounty Hunter, and Lego Star Wars II complete saga
Aww I'm sorry to hear that. I say you return it and demand your money back Alo.
LoL I got it on steam (download) so I can't return it (lame) but I might get a new desktop within the year and then I'll make sure it will work.
I hate x-box we pc users get the shaft just because we don't want to spend $300 just to play games.
oh and SI GET THE ORANGE BOX it is awesome! : http://orange.half-life2.com/
Diablo I and II (I am so much looking forward to Diablo III) Baldurs Gate and KOTOR.
My favourite online game is Everquest II.
would be hard for me to say. I've played so many games of so many different typs, it's hard to choose.
I'd probably have to go with Sims 2 though. Although I've gotten bored with it long ago, it was a fan site for Sims 2 that I met Terra, so........... :)

Awe bless that is funky :)
Thinking about it, it is the same for me but with Dark Age of Camelot. I have not played the game for a long time and I do not want to play the game but it when I was playing that game that I met Devil Boy :D
Aww.. Alor :)
What is the orange box?
How do you get Kit Fisto for BF2? My sister is Kit Fisto crazy and I know i could get her to play more if Kit was involved.
Kit Fisto...lets have a look...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HTz79Dpi1GM
as I said, you will gain Kit Fisto with xbox live or something else...its not mod,I think.
I love Zelda. All of them. But especially OOT.
my favorite is Star Wars Republic Commando, hands down

1. Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic (The BEST game ever!!!)
2. Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic 2 The Sith Lords
3. Halo
4. Star Wars Empire At War Forces of Coruption
5. Star Wars BattleFront 2
6. Star Wars Jedi Knight: Mysteries of the Sith
7. Star Wars Empire At War
8. Halo 2
9. Star Wars Jedi Knight: Dark Forces II
10. Star Wars Jedi Knight II Jedi Outcast
I haven't played Halo 3 yet. KOTOR and KOTOR 2 are the best.
Republic Commando would have been 11 or 12.

You must play Halo 3. Campaign is great.
I will when i get 360.
my favorite video game is halo 3 for the online and great storyline
Star Wars Galaxies :D
I must be the only Mario (or Nintendo fan in general) here by the looks of things. D= I'm big fans of the Metroid series, as well as Super Mario. I adore Super Mario RPG and Paper Mario, as well as River City Ransom, Super Mario Bros. 3, Super Mario Galaxy, Metroid Prime and Metroid Prime 3 (2 was Ok, but not as good as the other two). I also like Final Fantasy IV, Final Fantasy VI (though IV is my fave), and Chrono Trigger. I also like Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess. I know you'll all make fun of me for this, but I also like Pokemon games shuddap. I'm looking foreward to the release of Platinum.
Halo Series, Gears Series, and Definitely Too Human.
My new favourite game is Halo 3. :)
Yeah, its an awesome game. Dying to see some more stuff on ODST. Sadly, the most we've seen of it is concept art. Though it is fully playable, and dialog is being finished.

Hehehe... What was the age limit of it? I thought you were only 13....
Halo hardly deserves the M rating. Language is mild, blood nearly non-existent. The Flood are the worst part, but most above 10 should be able to handle it.
Strangely enough, I'm playing Sims 2 again lately. It's fun when you show it to someone who never played and watch their reactions. I also replay several old 2D games I used to enjoy a LONG time ago. It's nice.
Of course you kids of the 3D generation can't understand any of this. :P
I love Sims 2! Any Sim game, really, is great.
As for 2D games, I love the Atari 2600 my husband fixed up. It has a special place in the bedroom. (cause that tv works better, we found that hd tvs don't work for something that old something about frame rates and flickering or something, made it almost impossible to play games like millipede) And speaking of millipede, I made 128,000 back in July, which is only 12,000 points away from the world record high score. :D
And of course I still play the NES and SNES, I have the SW game for NES and SuperSW and SuperESB for the SNES. I suck at the ESB game, it's very hard, I've never even made it to the wampa. But on the SuperSW one I made it to the Death Star! On the SW one I made it to the asteroids and then I always die there.
I think my husband would simply explode if we couldn't play 2d games. We even have a spare atari he's going to fix up for when the one we already have dies.
And on Halo I think you have to be 16 to buy it. I remember cause I was trying to buy one of them for my brothers years back (they're both younger than me) and I was days from being 16 but the lady wouldn't sell it to me. I don't see that it's that bad a game. I don't play it, but I think, like what you said up there, that the flood are the scariest part. Personally I think the flood are awesome. (remember, I don't know anything about this game, I just saw these things and asked my brothers what they were and they told me)

Yeah, can't wait to see it. :D

M is 17+.
And yeah, the flood would be the scariest part, but its simply an issue of maturity. It really isn't that bad in game, but the concept is terrifying.
Yeah, I meant 17, sorry.
Well, I think they up the rating a little sometimes to be extra careful. The average teen might not find Halo to be especially disturbing, the parents might blow a fuse or two at the game (remember, this is the world where a lot of people said that, despite the rating, you shouldn't take someone under 16 to see The Dark Knight). And you have the not-average teen, who even at 16 couldn't play 10 minutes of Halo without freaking out.
So yeah, I think they up ratings a bit higher to be careful. Case in point, Star Fox Assault is rated T. Now, Krystal is fully clothed in this game, so skimpy tribal clothes are a non issue. The characters never cuss. There isn't any blood either (not even super fake green blood). Doesn't seem like it could possibly be rated T then, can it? But it is. My only guess to why is that the explosions are more realistic then they were in Star Fox 64.

So cool. Some people still give a chance to older games. Despite the lack of high-res animations and graphics, some of them can be really cool. :D
I've never played Sims 2. I can't just understand the game, or is it just because I've only seen when my friend plays it. :P My brother gave me one The Sims game, but it doesn't work on my computer, so I really don't know what are they like. :|
Well, Sims 3 has been announced, for Sims fans.
And Miba, no biggy. Minor correction, just had to deal with that, as I'm not 17 yet, so someplaces get picky about that.
Oh, yes, I already know about Sims 3. I'm so excited, I can't wait. :D
I love the Resident Evil games, number 5 is coming this year... goody :D
I used to love to play games when I was younger. But, money is pretty tight so I gave up. But some classics that I played repeatedly are Starwars BF1 and 2. The Sims, GTA series, and the Midnight Club series.
Halo, Gears, Too Human, Burnout Paradise, uh....Republic Commando.
I must be very old school. My favorite video game is Ms. Pac Man
Here are my favorite games, in some sort of order: Halo 1,2,3, X-Men Origins: Wolverine, Farcry 2, Half-Life 2, Star Wars: Republic Commando, KOTOR, Starfox 64, Mario Kart (can't choose one), Super Mario 64, Donkey Kong 64, Donkey Kong Country (one and two), Super Mario World. From Halo to KOTOR it's almost a tie.
Halo 1,2,3, Super Mario World, Starfox 64, Super Mario Bros., Pac-Man, DBZ: Burstlimit, Star Fox Adventures, Star Fox Assault, Star Fox Command, Battlefront I and II, Space Invaders...
For the longest time my top games were Oblivion, the KotOR series, and The Sims. The Sims and Oblivion are still alive and beating for me because they were both epic games to begin with, and with the addition of freekin' awesome fan-made content from the internet *I have both games on PC rather then console* there's always something new to do and/or experience. And of course KotOR will always hold a special place for me because of the awesome story and Mando backstory fillers.
Lately however, Army of 2 has taken my xBox by storm! By far the most fun co-op game I've EVER played! Trying to keep myself from drooling while waiting for the sequel. I heard it got some bad press, but anybody who hasn't played NEEDS to give it a chance, especially if you have a friend to play with.
My friend and I are so sold on the game we're actually working on a new costume based on my own fan-made character and security company based on the game. Will post pics when I can :D
Got Sims 3 now!
It's good to keep up-to-date and as a creator I'll get a chance to share once again.
It's always exciting to try a new version of a game you know and "get lost" in it again, with all the new possibilities. But the sims themselves look different too.
I'm bringing a comparison, so you can see and judge for yourself.
Victor is one of my custom-made personal sims. It's the very first I had made in The Sims 2, and here is a pic of how he looks like in that game :
http://lithdesigns.com/Sims2/BillieLith/Sims/Other/Males/VictorLux/VictorSims2.jpg
Now here's Victor as I could make him in Sims 3. I spent several hours trying to make him look the same, as much as possible, and this is as close as I could come:

The graphics in general are a lot smoother in Sims 3, but is it better? I don't know, I think it's a bit too blurry, too smooth. It makes it harder to control when you shape a sim's face, as you don't have the same tools at all. I liked some details and strenght of lines that he had in Sims 2 that I couldn't reproduce with the tools of Sims 3, like for the frame of eyebrows, the shape of his cheeks and shape of his eyes. His hair is very different too. The hairmesh he is using in Sims 2 doesn't exist anymore in Sims 3. And as you can see, for Sims 3 still, hair textures are very smooth, kinda blurry.
I love the Resident Evil games, number 5 is coming this year... goody :D
OMG I LOVE RESIDENT EVIL!
5 WAS AMAZING!
Even though the story disappointed me a bit... :/
Code Veronica has to be my absolute favorite in the series. I don't have a Wii, so I'm sorta sad to see that The Darkside Chronicles is Wii exclusive, just like Umbrella Chronicles was... RE2 was probably my 2nd favorite. I know rail shooters are sort of weak, but I'd love to revisit the locations. Can't ever get enough Raccoon City, if ya ask me.
So yeah... Resident Evil series are among my top favorites. Then with KOTOR, Dynasty Warriors series, and Final Fantasy X would be up their as well. But I honestly don't game as much as I used to.
Oh, yes, Sims 3! I love that game!!! I've only played it a few times. Stupid story progression made me too sick to want to play it again. I made a guy sim and then went and made a girl sim and I played her for hours upon hours and then I went back to play as the guy sim and after a few days... my girl sim wasn't there anymore. She had disappeared. Totally and completely disappeared. Best I can figure is she died. I heard they patched that and you can turn story progression off, so I think I'll give it a try again.
