wow so ive realized that my girlfriend is kinda awesome, and to begin with my current relationship i was just in it for experience but oddly enough i want this relationship to last long enough for the two of us to actually meet, she wants to come visit this summer, but i told her to wait until she is 18 which she turns at the end of the summer, mainly because i turned 19 the begining of this year and i dont want to get into any legal trouble even though the age of consent is 16 in this state, but yeah. Ive been dating this girl for a month so is it right that i want to get a solid steady relationship with a girl ive never met in person but who i met through a friend? (the friend actually knows her in real life)

I hope everything works out funkily for you :)

I met Devil boy through and online computer game. We have been together for nearly 5 years now :)

LOL Terra, It is too easy to fall into the trap of being motherly. I have been like that as well (I am also a mother)

Thanks, you're sweet. There are moments where I'm worse with my bf than his own mother. "Don't forget this, don't forget that, attach your coat, don't go to bed too late, did you eat enough today?", etc. But I can be a big baby too, so I guess it's even.

It's not strange, Terra. Its just that i'm not afraid to state the truth. I keep meeting new girls only to find out they're complete bozos. It's been a long time since I last had a girl to have a conversation with, to se that we're fine together, that we accord. I'm not a lonely person, and I'm not a lucky person. So, every now and then, I find a nice-looking girl, have fun with, kill with a pick-axe and then dispose of. Simple, clean job.

Hey, I'm not that bad! I was only kidding back there!
I like her a lot, all right, but it's been a mere days that we've been together and I cannot say I'm in love or something. She's nice, but I cannot have a decent conversation with her. I care about her, but our interests are completely different. I collect stuff, watch movies, play my guitar, read novels, english and american literature and a bunch of other things. She likes to go out with friends and listen to greek trash music.
We do not accord, and that's a sad thing. BUT, I'm not a lonely person. I cannot stand being alone, so I kinda need her. I like her a lot, and I try to compromise. I'm not a sexist! I love women! I'm just weird...
As for "the one", I'm sick and tired of waiting. I'm a very strange person, if I were to wait for an equally strange mate, I'd surely die of old age..
Oh, and I took the photo with my cellphone, but I forgot to rotate it when I uploaded it (90 degrees to the left), so that's why it seems a bit strange. Here's another;

How'd you up load it? I've wanted to do that for sometime.

I'm sorry you're lonely Nazde. My best friend growing up was very much the same way, always needing someone, regardless of the quality of the relationship. If shes a new GF, give it some time because things may develop into something. I understand the "weird". I too have had relationships that i don't really know how to explain. Maybe some day I will. It took me many years of waiting to find who I am with now, and I couldn't be happier with them. Don't give up! I know there are individuals that are smart, good looking, and have actual taste in music and movies.

shes a cutie, but if u have nothing in common its at best a house of cards. but if ur a serial dater...and u dont care to be alone, enjoy the ride. you only go around once.

If ur looking for a relationship w/ longevity obviously ur gonna have to find someone that like to talk lit, and culture etc. for the record i date alot, and the relationships where i cant relate to the girl/ woman, dont outlast the milk in my refrigerator.

one question i always ask early on is "do u know who boba fett is?" :P

"mmmm, pistol whip." -Homer Simpson
April 24, 2008 4:37 pm #

i don't consider myself a serial dater, just independent. i dont bend to the ways of societal norms,
i will settle down when im compelled to, many of my other friends rushed to marry in their 20s,
i shrugged off the picket fence, it will be there when im ready.
:)
glad u found happiness w/ RD-it can prove to be quite elusive at times.

"mmmm, pistol whip." -Homer Simpson
April 24, 2008 6:59 pm #

Whoa, it's really getting hot in here!
Im no way a serial dater! More like the other way around..
I used to be a serious guy. I craved for commitment, but i had the wrong age..
I'm 21 years old and I've had more or less nearly 20 relationships. Some of them were serious, or they intended to, some of them were just conviviality, some were a complete waste of time.
Sad thing is I matured a lot earlier than I was supposed to, and could not find a like-minded girl.
So I kept looking. But social relations are a bit tricky here in Greece...
Girls are always playing hard to get, and most of them are alone in the end. Guys have lost their courage, we're not what we were a couple o' decades ago. So, finding the right mate and keeping it are two different, but exceptionally difficult things here.
I was serious, and was looking for serious commitment. But i did not find anything like it.
Hell, i'm not a monk, I don't expect to find meself a woman when I'm 30 or so!
I just keep looking and looking for the right girl out there. And when I grow restless, I just grab what's right in front of me and make the best out of it.
I don't intend to marry the girl, and she's not my slave (1?!) either. I give some things to her, she gives me some things in return and we're both happy. People marry in their 30s here, so serious commitment in my age is scarce, if not ficticious.
And I'm a sensible, strong-willed man.
What I want, I try to find. If there's nothing to find, I take what's next down the list.
You might think i'm a cold person, but I'm not. I've just been through a lot and i've become a bit of a pragmatist.
Oh, and i'm not evil, either. I just live my life, learn from my mistakes and make the best out of the given circumstances.
Or am i?

Don't feel bad about your age Terra, that's my job. I confluster myself about my age enough for everyone on the site. It kind of the opposite for me, at least with the people I know. I am one of the last hold out of my generation to not be married, as is my BF who happens to be 29. I know many individuals who decided it was best to wait until they graduated HIGH SCHOOL to get married. Now mind you some are my age (24/25) and already on their second marriages. (Those are some long stories.) I don't understand rushing into something like that. I want to get married more than most people I think, but not to just anyone.

Ale'ika I think you are ok when it come to the age thing, 17  and 19 are only two years apart, and depending on the state thats more than fine. In NJ 16 is the age of consent, so it depends. It sometimes also makes a difference as to what ages you were when you started dating. ( example. You are 17 she's 16 and thats ok. You have a birthday and now you are 18 and she is still 16.) I don't agree with laws like that because it all depends on the person. It should be up to the person and their parents (if they are still that young).

We don't have the money to go anywhere, but I don't care. I haven't had a vacation since February last year. At this point I don't care where I am, I want to get away from work. So I am taking off 5 days to just stay home and do nothing. :) We'll have fun of course, we're going to watch all the SW movies, play some games, go out a bit, and just laze around.

I'm 21, and he's 30, so that's a 9 1/2 year difference. But we don't mind. He seems younger, and I seem older. There are definitely differences, such as he's got maturity, experience..... a few gray hairs which I like to tease him about. But he also says I seem a lot older than I am, like I'm responsible and intelligent.

I know the feeling. I'm younger and my man is older. But hey at least you had a vacation last year. I haven't had a real good vacation where it was just for fun, and no family members died while I was away and had to return since...i think Las Vegas in 1999. Or does the 3 days my family spent at my grandfathers in South Carolina in 2002 count? It wasn't fun thats for sure. It was my sister, myself and my 2 cousins in one room and my one cousin had a horrific case of the stinky farts. Oh well.... sorry that was a rant...

Well you can take a honeymoon when you have the money for something truely fantastic. The importaint part sometimes is the getting married. I wish you two all the best.

I too have not had a vacation for a long time (I do not count visiting my parents as a vacation)

LOL the last time I went abroad was in 2002 I think and the last time I went on a vacation was in 2003. Hopefully next year we will be able to either go camping or rent a cottage in the highlands.

GoodnessI hear that pain. I have oh so many projects to catch up on for final cits. At least they arent to the 12 and the 14 of May. (My problem is that I am driving out to Indianapois that weekend before, so I have to make sure that everything is done before the 9, at least for sculpture. Painting is what it is.) For tomorrow I had/ have to make the choice over working on school art or spending time with the BF, who I am happy to say is seeming more serious. (lets hope i don't jinx anything!) I don't have the decipline to say no to him, over the alternative of working ( albeit work i enjoy and love to death).

see i was just in Indy last weekend, which kinda angered my girlfriend because i went to a Magic the gathering pre-release with a group of guys (that had been in the works for nearly 2 months) instead of going to cleveland to see her... but oh well she got over it... mainly because i had to ride hump on the way back between two guys that fell asleep with heads on my shoulder

My bf will come over again to see me soon. He'll stay here for the first two weeks of June. He's going to be here in 5 weeks. Can't wait, it's going to be sweet!
