Venorator-class star ship Fateful Fire, opened its bay doors. Galatic Marine-0029 exhaled as the rushing air helped push him out of the hanger. As the edge of the floor came rushing up he simply let himself drop, as did the other 99 Marines with him. The planet surface filled his visors vison, as it steadily grew closer. 29's arms and legs automatically went to the standered X-shape of a sky-diver. Even though his heart rate didnt increase, it felt like he had left his stomach back in the bay of the Fateful Fire. After a few miles of falling the planatary Anti-Air batteries started to open fire, nearby explosions began to rattled his teeth. But that was hardly the worst part. Seconds after the fire begain, screams filled his ears as his brothers suffered as near hits exploded next to them, burning there armor like wax. 29 did his best to ignore it.
As the barren, snow covered land-scape came flying towards him, he hit his repolserlifts, slowing him down greatly...but it still hurt like hell when he hit the ground. He groaned as he lifted himself off the ground, and looked around. Spoting his objective, a forward command bunker, he started to make his way towards it. But cursed at its heavy defenses, and its elevation. The Marines charged into the horde of battle droids at the bottom of the hill, droids exploded all around him, and marines fell, cut down by blaster fire or crushed by the heavy hand of a super battle droid. As the final droid slumped to the ground, The marines started to make their way up the hill. But as they did, Anti-infantry cannons started fireing from a nearby bunker, cutting down more of his brothers. Instead of hiding, like any normal infantry man would do, 29 simpy unhooked his DC-Carbine from his back and charged the bunker head on, firing from the hip. He side steped any bolts that came his way, the plasma blackening his armor as it flew by. As he got in throwing range, he took a magnetic thermal detonator and heaved it into the fireing slit. Bam. "Bunker down." he reported camly. The only defensive left was a small wall surronding the command bunker, with battle droids taking pop shots from behind it. 29 moved closer, blasting a few as they came up to aim. The other advancing Marines did the same intill they hoped over the wall and eliminated the remaining gear heads. 29, and the remaining Marines then set there sights on the command bunker, 29 slamed himself against the wall next to the sealed blast door. A fellow marine placed a demo charge and yelled 'clear'. Bang. 29 rushed in through the forced open blast doors, willing to take any stubborn resistance fire for his brothers. But no fire came to meet them, in fact the place was completly empty. "Where are all the officers?" Whispered a soldier next to him.
29 didnt reply, instead he moved around the terminals making sure no one was hiding where he couldent see them. Instead of finding an officer he was greeted by a beeping sound. Curious, 29 bent down to look. He found a large metal box, with numbers counting down.
(5...) 29 just stood up. (4...) Droped his gun. (3...) And turned his back to the bomb. (2..) And muttered (1...): "What a waste..." (0...)
Boom.

Hope whoever took the time to read this enjoyed it, and if they didnt, I'm sorry. Please give me some slack, its my first fanfic.

Aww.  You killed him.  But I really felt the emotion on that last bit. Bang.  Inspiring.  You should hire Valthonin to do yor sound effects.  Isn't that right Mr. Foom Kerploom.

Great story! You should keep writing. I'm going to write a fanfic soon, but haven't thought of a solid story yet.
