I like Alice Cooper (see my signiture) and shock-rock.
I listen to very diverse types of music and bands... can't exactly pick a favorite... Maybe In Flames (melodic metal from Sweden), and Phil Collins, I think he's a genius.
Everyone I like . . . That would be a mighty long list.
I like heavy/hard rock and some metal.
My favorite bands in no order of importance are: (My favorite song(s) by said band in brackets next to the name)
-Disturbed [Sacred Lie][Ten Thousand Fists]
-Seether [Remedy][Out Of My Way]
-Mudvayne [Mercy, Severity][Not Falling]
-Korn [Coming Undone][Right Now]
-Thrice [Image Of The Invisible]
-Asg [Killers For Hire]
-Thousand Foot Krutch [Move]
-Breaking Benjamin [Blow Me Away]
So there ya go.

You should really listen to Alice Cooper, particulary the Trigger Man.

Add Crossfade, Dark New Day, Livin' Trust, Metallica, Hoobastank, and Sum 41, and it's pretty much a mirror image of my own musical preferences. <- Big words, sweet.

Those are just the one's off the top o' my head... I'm brain-dead today. :)
I'm not sure I have a favorite band, I just listen to whatever sounds good to me. For the most part it's various forms of rock, and some electronica. Then I have several I call "Intercom Songs" cause, well, that's where I got them from; heard them on the intercom at work, got them stuck in my head, needed the song again to get them out.
I mainly listen to classical music and movie soundtracks, but I also like classic rock. My favorites are Sting, Billy Joel, Cat Stevens, etc. Anybody my mother listened to.
Oh, yes, I love movie soundtracks.
Oi....um... I like a variety of moozik....
I like some JPop and Broadway. Ack. I LOVE Broadway... specailly 'The Producers'
I also like some bands like KoRn and Cradle of Filth and so on.
Rarely do i find a rap song i like D: i highly dislike rap. ><;
i highly dislike rap. ><;
Yep, Me too. And country. And classical. And R&B. And pretty much any mainstream band that is really popular with annoying preteens.
Gah.

Yeh. Thing is....i go to a like...-BAD- school.....so people are always playing that music DDD: So i have to put up with it aLOT
as kurt Henning once said "Rap's crap"
R.A.P.= retards atempting poetry. I mean no offense to anyone how likes rap. I just heard that at my school.
I mean every offense to anyone who likes rap. It's stupid and pointless, not to mention nigh-impossible to decipher. And the few that I can, I wish I hadn't. I have a very similar saying to this 'Kurt Henning', a title of sorts. All rap I hear is now referred to as Crap Rap.
All this is well and good, but you guys are all forgetting something.
rap isn't music.
Heeheehee!!!! That's a VERY good point, Yautja!
Oh, and SciFifreak, what kind of rap are you talking about? Are you talking about the "mow-mow" (pronounced as if you're saying, "Ow") music, the type of rap that has people scream/talk/singing, and the only "music" is the bass? Or are you talking about songs that have people just talking in syncopation with an actual tune? Am I even making sense????? :)
Anyway, I like the second type of rap, IF you can call it that. Listen to this small sound byte to Toby Mac's song, Diverse City. Is this what your talking about? You gotta wait for the second half of the song... Oops, I forgot to tell you that it's the 8th song on the list. :P

green day does get old after awhile. I've only heard "when september ends" like 1000000000000000000000 times. It really felt weird after september, ya know in january u hear this song and start to think.....what in the world. lol

Exactly. Every adolescent kid out there is way too obsessed with them if you ask me.
I have never once lisened to Green Day, but everyone in my school seems to love it.
I've never heard of Green Day.
Edits, 1 and 2: I couldn't get the di'kutla smiley to work!
Until last year I'd never heard of Green Day either, and I still haven't heard their music
How could younot of heard them?! They're allways on the radio!
The only music I really listen to are either CDs, or Christian radio stations, classical, jazz, and old time.
o
Oldies and country over here, unless they put Green Day on an english dub anime I'll probably never hear it
o
Okay, I wasn't going to reply but for some reason your reply struck me as completely, utterly (I'm serious!!), and gut-wrenchingly funny!!!

Honestly, it is a funny thought that this many people on here have not heard green day. It's the first time i've ever heard that, except my parents and just about everyone else's don't know who they are. All you who don't know who they are, consider yourself lucky!!!
MS9
Yeah, cuz they can get really, really anoying after a while.
Yeah, all I listen to on the radio are talk shows and oldies, so this is all new to me.
wow...it looks like just about everybody on here has not heard this annoying group. if all of my green day crazy friends heard that, they'd flip! (actually, no offence green day fans...all of their stuff isn't that bad....really just when september ends)
MS9
I;ve just gotten one of Mauro Picctto's albums, and it is amazing, if any one can find it "iguana" is one of the best Trance tracks ever.
ALso gotten some more Tiesto albums and the man is a legend, best DJ EVER
That is weird...Green Day has been plaguing me me entire life, since they've been around since the early 90's...they don't leave me alone!
I'm suprised, too, that I don;t find more fellow geeks on a Star Wars site. Anyone here even heard of They Might Be Giants? (Yautja and Scifi don't count. You wouldn't know about them were it not for me. So therr.)
So, yeah, here we go:
-They Might Be Giants (popular among my geek friends)
-We Are Scientists (anyone here from England may have heard of them...)
-Lemon Demon (if anyone here besides Yautja and Scifi have heard of him, you deserve massive amounts of cash)
I also like a lot of Billy Joel, and modern rock like Yautja already said. Gregorian chants fit in there too...but that's a different story. Then there's STYX, and the soundtracks to Firefly and Serenity...I'm cool.
Aha!!! Which soundtrack is better, Firefly or Serenity????
Anything that David Bowie does...Bats is one Hard-core Fan
Like Garry Numan
Nick Cave
Tom Watts
Iggy Pop
Ryuihi Sakamoto
and Steve Ray Vaughan...he can really played Guitar..sadly gone.

Aha!!! Which soundtrack is better, Firefly or Serenity????
Personally, I prefer the Serenity one, because it's a movie soundtrack. While I love the show, the music just isn't as...inspiring as in a movie. You know, all the suspense, all the amazing fight scenes that you don't get quite as much in the show, it all comes out in the music. That scene where River's tearing the masses of Reavers apart, the music brings a tear to my eye every time.
Simon: *gasping for breath as he's been shot in the stomach* River...I...I...I'm...*gulp* I'm sorry...
River: No! No, Simon! You take care of me. You've always taken care of me. *gets up* My turn. *proceeds to own everybody*
...But I digress. I prefer the Serenity one, although I also think the Firefly soundtrack is worth it just for the opening theme song :)
Oh, I'm going to get that soundtrack!! Does the [i]Serenity[i] soundtrack have the opening song on it?
Oh, I'm going to get that soundtrack!! Does the Serenity soundtrack have the opening song on it?
Not to Firefly, but to the movie. That little violin bit...that was amazing too :)
