Yeah that grammar stuff was killing me. I orginally had it with the and's and so forth and it read a bit long, plus I was looking aboud at more Mando'a examples and grammatically correct things and those words are used archaiclly I think. I know in other languages they drop articials a bunch too. Thanks vodes.

I might find some time at my new job to work something up. We use like four different artish programs, Photoshop, Illustratior and more sign making ones. Between Terra's mad skills and whatever i might have we should have something great.

I made a symbol for Clan Drakus once, but having a hard time tracking it down; it was never on this PC.  It wasnt that good, as the skull wasn't right and other things, but it could work as a base for you real artists out there.  If I find it I'll post it

Internal Switch: The switch to activate the saber is actually located on the inside of the saber’s hilt. This is to insure only a Jedi may use it. Of course, the Jedi must use Telekinesis in order to move the switch.
Palm print recognition lockout:This modification insures that the light saber will not operate in the hands of unauthorized personnel. A small sensor array built into the hilt of the light saber constantly reads the current operator, insuring that the cellular makeup and palm print configuration matches that of certified individuals. Should the pattern not match, the weapon simply shuts down and/or will not work.
Double Focus lens: 2 separate places for crystals to be allowing up to 2 pairs of 3 crystals in one light saber, when the switch is flipped the other set is put into place, allowing different arrangements of crystals.

History/motivation/personality: Raised in the Jensaraai tradition on Myrkr. He fled for fear of his and his young wife's (Tylar'ra Secura's) safety. Years later, They'da was born, and his mother, not a force user, died in childbirth. He was taught what little his father knew of the Jensaari tradition, which was too primitive in practice to suffer the dark side's taint. Honor and discipline, as well as respect for those traits in his enemies are what he learned, as well as the use of agression (Vapaad fighting form) in defense of what he holds dear. He was taught to forge his lightsaber and his own personal armor, taking the vornskr, Myrkrs native force weilding predator, as his animal influence. Shortly after his Master granted him the title of Jensaari Defender, his Master left, urged to return by the Jensaari's Saari-kar. He is loyal and values loyalty in others, especially his best friend, Scratch. He is also dedicated to mastery of Vapaad. He has left Myrkr to strike out on his own. Approached by the newly appointed Supreme Overlord of The Imperial Order, Luke Skywalker, They'da Starjammer has become Skywalker's High Inquisitor, in exchange for Skywalker's "protection" of the Jensaari, allowing them to remain hidden. He has been tasked to hunt force users and offer them a place in the Order or neutralize them, if they are too dangerous. He works hard to maintain the discipline to avoid the dark side. He fears Skywalker is consumed by it, but that his facade masks a man who can be redeemed.

Personality/History/Motivation: The Cloak of the Sith was a mysterious region of the Outer rim which included the planet Roon. The region was hard to navigate, making Roon somewhat inaccessible; only two hyperspace routes were known to reach the planet. Raised on the planet Roon until the age of 14, Colebin learned his parents were actually co-conspirators in a secret Sith cult. They felt that he was ready to carry on the legacy of the Sith, and agreed to allow Colebin to begin his training. He and his parents moved to Belderone, in the Outer Rim territories, to establish a hidden Sith cult in that sector. He was trained for a few years until the arrival of the Peacekeeper's 501st Legion. They had arrived to reclaim KDY's AT-AT assembly factory, when the newly promoted Commander Daine Jir was informed by an unknown traitor within the cult, of its existence. Colebin Calid's home was destroyed and his parents were executed. Colebin fled to several planets, taking on odd jobs, until ending up working at Kuat Drive Yards. He was driven by his mother to eventually assume the Sith Lord mantle, but has had very little training in the use of his limited Sith teachings. With his mother gone, Colebin has little left of his training, save several clues to guide him eventually to artifacts hidden by his parents and other members of the cult. He is not quite sure if that is a legacy he wishes to assume.

Personality: "Work hardest, play harder..." He's all about getting things done and earning the right for some downtime. He knows that as an Alpha, he's the best. His success among his previous outfit, the Muunilinst-10,  has boosted his confidence in his skills.
Specialty: Infiltration, assassination, sabotage, all the nastier sides of the war people don't talk about.
Appearance: Jango Fett, with scar trailing down right eye, eyebrow to jawline. With his Buy'ce off he's always smoking a Dilnlexan cigar. Wears gunmetal grey ARC armor, a more advanced and versatile version of the Phase I armor, with red trim on the chest, command pauldrons, legs, and black kama. He has a periscope rangefinder attachment on the right temple of his helmet. His helmet also boasts The Jaing Eyes, an award for bravery in the line of duty, awarded after his actions serving alongside Captain Fordo and the Muunilinst-10.
Weapons: Chaingun, Twin DC-17 hand blasters, and frag and reverse-polarity pulse grenades. He also has bandoliers and pouches for extra Spec Ops equipment, including EMP grenades and extra ammunition. Has a wide assortment of throwing blades, and his trusty vibroknife.

Ship: The Harbynger, has 5 staysails making it easer to sail against the wind than running before the wind. It is armed with port and starboard guns. It carries 46 broadside 6 pound guns, 23 on each side; 18 guns are located on the main deck, 20 on the gun deck, and 8 on the upper deck: 4 on the quarter-deck and 4 in the forecastle. The gunports on the gun deck are in the shape of wailing, tormented faces, with the ports appearing at the mouths. Its full broadside contains 23 cannonballs, called shot, and weighs one hundred and 62.652 lbs. (38 kg). On the bow however, she mounts a pair of bow chasers, each in the form of a triple-barreled gun. Each separate barrel fires individually, but the trio rotates to present a fresh barrel to fire again in the style of a Gatling gun. The empty barrel can then be reloaded for its next turn. This enables The Harbynger to continually fire at the ships it is pursuing.
Brief History: Formerly a British noble, the man who came to be known as Morrigan Blackmoon, was disgraced and removed of his nobility and holdings. Here is the father of my character, Ralin Drakus.  I created him for the RPG RepComm-Alpha Squad

This is basiclly just an edit of Ralin, but I really like how his history came out, so thought I'd share him here. 


Name: Konnor Drakus

Species: Mandalorian/Human

Occupation: Freelance mercenary, but has spent the last several years working as a sub-instructor for the Republic’s Clone Army under Kal Skirata; Follows a strict Honor code and will only accept missions/contracts that fit it

Loyalties: To his Clan and Clan Brothers/Sisters

Weapons: Heavy repeating blaster rifle; A cut down repeating carbine that he uses as a pistol *great rate of fire, but heat output is high; and a sniper rifle for 'special' jobs*

As part of his payment for taking the contract to train the clones, Konnor accepted a prototype ARC-170 Heavy Recon. Fighter.  The advanced fighter had many features that never made it into the production model due to production cost.

The targeting computer was more advanced
The laser cannons were more powerful
Sublight engines and maneuvering thrusters were faster
Hyperdrive was of a higher grade, rated at .9   

Konnor also had the craft customized during his stay on Kamino.  He had the wingtip cannons linked to his primary weapons systems that were before controlled by a copilot, converted two of the craft’s six proton torpedo launchers into guided missile pods, he replaced the copilot’s position with a sleeping bunk, he ordered the armor plating to be replaced with a higher grade metal and thickened, replaced the two rear-firing single blaster cannons with a three barrel rotating laser mounted in a single turret and placed it under driod control, and converted the gunner’s space into extra storage room. 

Short History: Little is known about Konnor Drakus before he arrived on Kamino other then what he claimed; that he was a longtime mercenary based on the planet Mandalore.  He had no record with the Old Republic or in the Jedi archives before taking Jango's offer to help train clones, suggesting his absolute subtlety or that he worked almost exclusively in the Outer Rim and/or beyond. 

Kal Skirata is believed to have worked with him at some point in the past, and it’s been claimed that it was Kal who suggested to Jango that Konnor offered a position as a drill instructor for the Army of the Republic.  During the his time on Kamino, Konnor was known among the clones he trained as an iron fisted leader who never tolerating lapses in discipline or one who forgave mistakes lightly.  However, he was also known to often take moments to open himself to his pupils and share his experiences and thoughts with them freely, especially later in a platoon’s training.  Most of all, he was seen as a man who would never give up on a clone.  It is rumored that he thwarted several Kaminoan attempts to ‘weed out’ some of his platoon who were not meeting the cloner’s standards in emotional or behavioral ways. 

After the battle of Geonosis, he resigned as an instructor and returned to Mandalore and his wife for a shot period.

After several months, Konnor contacted the Jedi through the Kaminoan’s, offering his service as an officer in the Army of the Republic.  Called to Coruscant, he is given an assignment from Master Mace Windu himself…..

Shoot me *or for some REALLY deep characters V_M* a PM and ask.  I'm more into Mandos, and don't remember all those details about lightsaber crystals and such, but give me a basic idea and I can try to help you expand on it if you like. 

This is the reason I'd like to see some character concepts.  If you have a character but arn't 100% happy with him/her/it, post it here and ask for comments/suggestions.  I'm sure if we put our helmets together we can come up with something   :D

This is my commando from RPG: Republic Commando: Alpha Squad. I did it very fast, and will maybe add more to it sometime. So its shorter than a proper one.

Name:RC-1312: "Kad".
Personality: Though informal squad sergeant, he is never aloof, and prefers to be just another brother to his squadmates. Enjoys jokes, and fun, but less so than Jag.  (sorry for the length, have to go.)
Appearance: Clone, clean-shaven and hair cut short to military regulations. Armor: Standard underneath, Mandalorian (bantha) skull splashed across left side of his armor (chest and side). Red slash across front and top of helmet, right shoulder pauldron  (sp).

RPG Concept Alert!!!

Hi Vode! 

In the chat yesterday, I was just kidding around and suggested that a handful of Mandos  *4 or 5 roughly; maybe more if we can get the members*  could conquer the Naboo.  After some consideration, I feel that this concept might have some merit. 

Timeline: Could vary greatly.  Either during the Mandalorian Wars, or most anytime between the Mandalorian Wars and 1000 years before that *I believe it was roughly 1000 years before the movies when the Boba/Jango style of ‘bucket helmet with T-visor’ became the standard for most all Mandos; if that’s wrong please let me know*

Mission:  Again, variable.  Would depend largely on what timeline that’s chosen.  We could be sent by Mandalore during the Mandalorian Wars to hinder supplies being sent to the front; on a Merc being paid to cause chaos for a reason I can’t think of just this second; or, as I was first thinking, a small party of drunk and/or board Mandos looking to have a good time  :P

Any thoughts to clean this one up?


RPG Concept II

Anybody else out there play the EA game Freedom Fighters? 

If not, the basic plot is that the Rooskies *Communist Russians* won the Cold War and are now invading the USA.  The game is about you fighting them off in New York City.  Based in the city’s sewers, you lead the revolution against the Red oppressors. 

I think this is a SMOKIN’ RPG waiting to happen!  Could be set during the game timeline and we’re another rebel Cell in NY, or a completely different group in another city, or even a different country.

Any suggestions comments? 

I would probably have posted Freedom Fighters already, but I really don’t feel I’m really ‘RPG moderator’ material after my inability to keep up to speed on ES5  *for those on ES5, sorry for how that’s gone; might try to salvage that soon*   More then willing to be the little voice in the ear of anybody else who would like to start one of these for ideas/help on working it.

So, what da y’all think?

Concept II could also be adapted to fit the new game that's out where the Nazis won WW II.  Don't recall the name off-hand, but it's new, and I'm sure some of the gamers here and playing it.  However, it uses a lot of new/concept weapons that are unique to that game that I and probably most others woudln't be familiar with.

Any variations/additions to these ideas are more then welcome; that's why they're here, looking for feedback.  There's a lot of active RPs open right now, so this might not be the best time to post one of them, but if anybody feels up to it I'd gladly join either one  *as I said, not looking to create another RP right now, but would love to advise in the creation prosses and join*

Anyone else have comments/suggestions or another RPG concept they'd like to share?

Either Rooskies or Krauts would be fun. The characters would be quite imaginative, which would be cool. There are at least 4 or so active RPG's, so later might be good. I'll do it, if no one else more experienced wants to. The stories got a lot of merit--I'm just a bit new at it.

There's another idea that was rattling around him my head, but i forgot it............

WAIT, THERE IT IS!  Right where I left it under the 'I'm hungery' file  :P

Anyone else play MechWarrior?  It was an Activision game *if memory serves* and was later bought out by Microsoft.

I first played MechWarrior 2 when I was young on my Mom's old Windows 95  *so yeah, that one's old.*  Last one I was able to play was MechWarrior 4: Mercenaries.  There were others, but only on console *me no have :( *

If you've never played any of the games, you are placed in the middle of 31st century combat, and your job is to drive one of these:

a MASSIVE walking tank of sorts like the AT-ST, but MUCH better!  There are many different types of mechs *The one pictureed being my favorite, a heavy called the Timberwolf, or 'Mad Cat' by Inersphere pukes :P * including lights, medium, heavy, and assault classes.

The main point of contension in the Mech world is uaually between the Claners and the Inner Sphere, but internal conflicts are always breaking out within the two.

Most of the games that have been made by Microsoft deal with the Inner Sphere and it's inner conflicts, while the older games were about the Clans.  I'm an old Clan Wolf fan from Mech 2 still *DAMN JADE FALCON CLAN!!!*  It's a complicated story-line, so a smaller comflict within the Inner Sphere would be easier to manage for an RPG here.  Wiki has the entire list of Mechs available, but few pics.  I MIGHT be able to take some in-game pics, but I've never tried it before with my game, so no promises.

If anybody is interested, this is a third concept that we might be able to iron out into something workable.

I used to own the old MechWarrior tabletop with the plastic, paintable models...I think I've played the video game...i dont remember...

big giant robots is cool...im so damn busy though...i dont know if i have time for another RPG...:(

Glad you like the idea.  Not that I placed an idea on the table there, just the gener.  Havn't played in a while myself, and I never was 100% up to speed on the backstory/history, but I still think a limited scope RP would be fun

And btw, TIMBERWOLF IS MINE!!!!!!!!!!  You can have Atlas, or anything else, but zeh TWolf/Mad Cat be mine!   :D

Wow! Great Ideas... but they totally sound way out of my leauge. I know I've never played either of those games, and in general don't know much about actual war. Star Wars... yes. Middle Earth... yes. Oblivion... a smidge. But the 15 minuets I have playing CoD4 is a much real war type stuff I know. But I'm sure you guys will make them great!

I'm sure you could play the Freedom Fighters RP.  What I love about that one is that anyone can play it.  The setting is in real life, in our time  *unless we go with the Nazi version;* it's just an alternate history.  You could basically play yourself.  If you know nothing about guns or real warfare, fine; most real people don't.  It would add that much more or a realistic touch to the setting to have normal people who are caught up in the invasion. 

If you feel totally out of place in it, maybe it's not for you.  But it's not as technical as you might think.  It's not like this was a Navy SEAL RP where you should know something about military tactics, weapons, and such to fit in.  This is about normal people *with probably a sprinkling of military personel who have joined the underground movement* taking up arms to fight off an invader.

I'm thinkin' this is one that everybody can really enjoy  :)

I like it too, as I've said. And not everyone would have to be a resistance "fighter". Others could be civilians hiding, running supplies, medics, etc. It would be a very creative RP, because, as a resistance, its not a very organized, strict, or militaristic group. It's likely ragtag, with some being former soldiers, and others possibly criminals. Teenagers with a taste for adventure. It would be a very interesting RP to be in, to see how people create their characters looks, clothes, past, personality, and, for soldiers, weapons.

vode is plural--brothers/sisters/whatever I forgots. and is pronounced "vod-DAY"

So how do you all want to do this?  Should we take a vote?  A_A seems enthusiastic for Mech, and we have Werda Verd for Freedom Fighters so far. 

I came up with them, so I'm happy with any of them  :D

I've given my two cents. Mechs sounds interesting, but my lack of experience and laziness to learn means it's doubtful that I'd join it. A Mando one would be good to. I'm always game for more Mando RP's.

If you get into the politics of the setting, yeah, Mech is complicated as HELL!  However, if you stick to the warrior side of it *what you do in the games* it's pretty simple.

Game Side of Mech:

Drive a super improved and better looking AT-ST-like vehical and blow the crap outa' stuff..........and thats about it

Political Side of Mech:

I don't even know......  Well, I do some of it, but SUPER complicated.  Long story short, you got the Inner Sphere in the middle of the galaxy based on earth *your more average folks,* and you got the Clans on the outskirts of the galaxy.

Clans make better weapons and have better warriors.................but they're sorta weird on some issues

Inner Sphere has more production power and seems to always get lucky......


However, you guys are right.  Freedom Fighters is MUCH more user friendly for those who don't know the genre of modern weapons/tactics; the setting would be flooded with those who don't, so you would fit right in.  In Mech, would be hard to play anything other then a Mech pilot, requiring you to know something about that field *or going out and learning someting about it.*

Thanks vod, but I'm not looking to mod any more RPGs; not now anyway.  Got a bitter taste still about how I fell down on ES5, and don't want that to happen again. 

I'm more interested in looking for a position as #2 in the moding process; the writer to the director in a movie so to speak.  A good poster and RP mod like Werda Verd or V_M could be the directer, posting and moderating the RP.  I can be here to help expand on the details, background, and setting of the RP as needed.

Anyway, that's what I'm aming to do.  If anybody wants to Mod one of these, give me a heads up and we'll work it out.

And BTW, when we do the Freedom Fighters RP, I got dibs on M-14 with sniper scope and a pair of 1911 .45s    :D

IDK, might be a bit fancy, to; especially for New York.  Might just go with a folding stock AK that I take from a Red.......

yeah, the customability of weapons and diversity will be pretty sweet, when this gets going. I'd love to do it, if no one else wants too. But theres at least, what 3? active RP's going. AoS is pretty far along, but I bet it's got a good bit of story left. RC's just getting started, same with Jedi Purge.

I'll have to think about what to do. What year would this be in? The Cold war was a while ago, but if it went Hot, it might have lasted longer.....

Timeline would be about now

The main reason I'm thinking you should be the RP mod Werda is becuase I think it should be very similar to RepComm.  A small scope RP in the midst of chaos.  The story should be narrowly centered around a small resistance group and any civies they pick up, and the Reds who they are directly fighting.  With our smallish active member communtiy, it really helps to keep the scope of these RPs low; one of my mistakes with ES5.  The smaller the scope of the RP, the more interation, and the smoother/faster the gameplay and timeline. 

So the setting is a single, small, resistance group fighting the Reds in NY City *or someplace else*

I'm honored :P Yeah, I can see the similarities. Well, I'd be glad to do it. Timeline: Now sounds good. Location: NY's fine. Big, lots of underground areas, not that I know what they're like... :D I'm looking forward to setting it up. Now, is now a good time, or wait a few weeks....

I'm thinking wait until at least another one of the active RPGs dies or seriously slows down.  AoS as picked up speed lately, so until that cools back down and/or something dies, I think we better just hang onto this one.

Since we have to wait, might be a good time to share character concepts if anybody isn't sure what they want to use  *COUGH Si&CA COUGH*

Can't wait to get into this one, although you might have a point for the character concepts and what I want to use.  I'm not quiet familiar with gun names, so if you want to help me out on that aspect, all I'm really looking for is a good sniper and a decent pistol.  Other than that, I think I have the rest of my character for this one ready, looks like it's gonna be a good one :D

List or Russian Weaponry

There's some really old, and some really new stuff in that list; some of it going back to WW II.  In this RP, it's set at about our time, but it's working from an alternate history.  The Communist Russians pretty much run the world.  This will give you an idea of what I mean:

*Rough, unexact copy of the intro of the game I'm basing this RP on*

1946:  Russia drops the first atomic bomb on Berlin, ending WW II

1952:  Britain reluctantly joins the Communist Block, the last European country to do so

1962:  The US protests the placement of medium ranged ballistic missiles in Cuba

1975:   Thousands of Russian military 'Advisors' are sent to several South American countries

1987:  Assassination attempt against the US president.  An unnamed foreign power is implicated

1998:  The Communist party wins the Mexican presidential election

Yesterday:  Hundreds of 'unidentified flying objects are reported from all over the US.  The military dismisses the sightings as weather balloons or hoaxes........

That's how the game starts. 

For our purposes, scratch the last line, as Werda Verd and myself feel it would be better to set this RP about 6 months to a year after New York has been occupied, giving us time to form our resistance, time for the front line of the outside war to move inland, and less experienced/disaplined troops to move into our sectors.

Any thoughts?  Suggestions? or character concepts?  Will post my character ASAP  *and no, A_A, he will not be named Ralin Drakus  :P *
