In the chat with Mel and Cujo, this topic sort of came up.  And it crossed my mind that there's tons of threads and comments that tear down the prequels, but not much said for them.

This might have something to do with the fact that they were in many cases poorly written, scripted, AND acted   :p

Putting all that aside, what is there about the new movies that you did you like?

I know many out there disagree, but I personally like the connection made between Boba and the Mandalorians *through Jango*   I was a diehard Mando fan before I was one for Boba, so it thrills me to have more then just the armor connecting the two.

The Clone Wars were also good.  Loved the battle scenes; the clones and their stuff was great!

The acting was good by most everyone EXCEPT the Anikan guy *loved Lieam Neason *spelling* as Qui-Gon, and the Obi-Wan, Emperor, and Jango guys was good too.*

Anything you liked about any of them?..........besides the part where it ended?    :P

Darth Maul was awesome. I also like the end of Ep. 3, the fight at the end was great and I freaked out when Vader took his first breaths in the suit. Episode three was for the most part good. Episode 2 was pretty good too. Episode One was ok, but it wasn't the best. How would a kid whose not even 12 fly a starfighter? Other then that, their good.

See I actually loved Ep I-III. Ep.I spent many hours in high school discussing Ep. I with my fellow geeks.

I LOVE Trisha's costumes. They really make me hate having to wear normal people clothing.

I love the whole Jedi and Jedi Temple thing... I know a lot of your guys hold no love for them.. but I do.

I really loved the duels they created for the prequels. Ep III had more than enough to keep me happy.

((I tried to keep this short and simple... i know i can ge long winded at times...))

Even more amussing to watch the end of Ep. 3 in Spanish :P  I liked all these Ep. except 1, didn't like young Anikan or the way Maul died.  I liked Ep. 2 the best out of the 3, I like Jango a lot, even though he gets a lot of bad talk on the website, plus I liked all the clones.  Ep. 3 was really neat, again I liked the clones, but there were some other cool parts, i.e. Obi Wan vs General Grevious.  I could go on and on about these movies, but I think the reason people here don't like these movie as much is because we don't get to see Boba as much :P

Plus the stories were told differently. Ep IV-VI were told classically.. where as Ep I-III were told in the epic style. (I can't remember where i read that... only i know i didn't make it up.)

I agree about Darth Maul, I think he was the best thing to come out of the movies. I did really enjoy the parts about Obi Wan and the bits where Yoda fought.

I also liked seeing what Coruscant actually looked like.

I also liked Darth Maul, he was an awesome character. Obi-wan's and Quigon's parts were good too. But I think the whole Skywalker plot was ruined. Seeing Yoda fight was cool too. And the lightsaber duels were all good in general.

Lucas seems to get a kick out of creating great characters and then giving them a degrading and/or humiliating death  *COUGHboba/maul/jangoCOUGH.*

But back to the good parts:

Yeah, Maul was great, and I really liked Dooku, to  *besides the name, of coures*  Christopher Lee was GREAT in that role

And although I think they relied too much on computer animation in the movies, the Space AND land battles were AMAZING!  I love the battle in Ep. II, and the way Clones were shown as being competent was refreshing after how stupid they all are in Ep. IV-VI

And the fight scene at the end of Ep. III was also great, though the Anikan actor bungled a lot of his lines I thought

His voice is amazing. He uses it so well. I'd love to hear and audio book done by him.

I like that episode I-III introduced the clones, and with the clones, Jango Fett.

And Count Dooku is the best Sith Lord in my opinion, Christopher Lee is indeed a great actor.

I agree; except I would say Instead of Jango's death/way he died.  Everything else *except some of Padme's scenes* was flat AWESOME!

i loved Ep 1 with the exception of Jar Jar.. and loved Episode 3 even more. Episode 2 was okay, i really liked it from anywhere but Naboo (that part bored me, but everything else was good).

One thing I loved about Ep. I-III, especially 1 and 3, was that John Williams really shined again.  The music was GREAT.

I loved all of EPIII,Jango Fett,Slave 1 vs Obi's Jedi star fighter,Darth Maul,destroyer droids,the music,Brad Bird's (spelling) sounds,and a lot more I can't think of right now.

The acion in general was great all around.  My only exception would be the parts with Jar-Jar in the land battle on Naboo, but even with him around, the rest of it ROCKED!  Mixed in with the Maul vs Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan and you got a winner; especially with the Great music used for those scenes.  That tune used for the Trade Federation/Confederacy is almost if not AS good as the old Imperial March in my opinion

Alot of the battle scenes seemed to be on a larger scale, Genosis for one was awesome. I like how they gave some Clone Troopers more of a role as opposed to them being target practice.

It's a shame you dont get to see the bounty hunters in ESB or even ROTJ. You see Boba, Bossk and dengar briefly. Boba you can see though. Bossk is standing next to boba on the dvd when jabba shows the Han in carbonite. Briefly, you see bossk standing next to Boba. dengar you see when all the guards and gammoreans and jawa's and aliens are looking into the rancor pit. He is standing there watching the duel of the two....................

oh, ok. Thanks. I like it when that jedi gets killed from Jango. * The one that we all know has a defensive green lightsaber, not attack, lol * He gets hit 3 times, though in wiki it says Coleman Trebor got hit in the head 8................

I think the first three do a good job of portraying how Vader came to be...especially number 3. They did much better with the lightsaber battles than in the original trilogy. Uhhhhmmm   thats about all I can think of. There are plenty of things they did wrong with them...but I guess this isn't the thread that I should complain under. ;)

I liked Ep. 2 because it gave the oppurtunity to learn more about the Fetts. Ep.1 I was not all that crazy about. Ep.3 was straight up well done.

I was just as if not a little more interested to learn that all Clones were created using a Mandalorian template and their progression into becoming Stormtroopers as I was with learning about Jango and his connection to Boba.

I also liked the tusken raiders fight with Anakin. Short, but quite powerful and emotional. :)

hmm... jango, clones, definitely obi wan, maul was cool. Generally, I think the old trilogy was better. I don't know, I think the only good actors in 1 2 and 3 are liam neeson, ewan mcgregor, and ian mcdiramid (spelled wrong?). My favorite scene was battle of the heroes ( yoda vs. emporer and obi vs. anakin.) I love the music, too.

Have to say I love most all the tech in the movies to.  I wasn't overly impressed with the Jedi starfighers, but the ARC-170, the pre-Star Destroyer Republic cruisers in both Ep. II and III.  The AT-TE.  Clone armor and weapons.  Some of the Sep. tanks and driods.  All that was pretty good stuff, especially in two later movies

I really enjoyed Episodes I to III :D

It was strange when I first saw Episode I but that was just due to it being so different to Episodes IV to VI.

I thought Qui Gon Ginn, Obi Wan Kenobi, Mace Windu, Count Dooku, Darth Maul were so funky.

I just love the lightsaber battle between Yoda and Count Dooku. It is just so funny watching Yoda flying around the place :D

I like it also because it is interesting seeing how the Empire and Darth Vader were created.

The other thing I liked was seeing the evolution of the star destroyers. It was like seeing fate rolling forward.

My first impression of the Ep I previews was that Darth Maul was actually one of a multitude of his race. Don't know why but I always thought their were two Zabraks on the speeder. Must have needed to clean my glasses :P
