I think it's only been mentioned on the FANS or GENERAL threads and that was only as to what the symbol meant. Lucasfilm has never given an actual meaning for it. It was thought to be the Fett family clan symbol, then it was speculated it was a Journeyman Protector symbol, but then they popped up on some Clone Trooper Pilots helmets in Episode III. All requests I've made to Lucasfilm through the section in the Star Wars Insider and their website that has all the trivia and gee whiz questions, as to the meaning, have gone unanswered.

In Japan they have released a series of patches recently and I was lucky enough to pick up two of Boba. One is a bust of him and the other is a full body shot. These are not iron on though so i am having to take up sewing. I will try and post them on here!

I think its just cool. Like representing the Fett and Mandos. Love doing that (especially in a way that most people would understand. Like secrete fan stuff.)

Not really, considering that the patch is fabric and the armor is, well, armor. The symbol is painted onto the armor, not sewn.
Great patch, though! That would be cool to have.
