January 22, 2008 7:12 pm # Now this might have a lot of spoilers in it so be warned.. and since a lot of topics that i post in seem to drift towards discussion on what is currently happening with Omega/Delta/Nulls and the "modern" mando'ade and well here is the first theory i have to post
Now this is a major spoiler for Star Wars Legacy of the Force Scarifice
Venku--Kad'ika--came up to Feet and Mirta in the tapcaf and gestured over his shoulder
"He says he'll do it," said Venku. "he didn't want to tell you he could read the stone there and then, in case he couldn't. He hates disappointing people."
The old man who'd come to stare at Fett with Kad'ika the other day walked slowly across the tapcaf. He peeled off his gloves and held out a fraild hand dappled with age.
"I can do it," he said. "Let me hold the stone."
Mirta looked hesitant, then took off the necklace to hand it to Fett.
"You're Kiffar by origin, then," Fett said. Mandalorians came from any number of species and planets, but adopting the culture didn't erase their genetic profiles. "Saves me a journey."
"I... know the planet."
this is taken directely from pages 350 & 351 in Scarifice.
Now this is why people seem to think the old man mentioned is Bard'ika, the reason Venku is protective of him, and thanks to KT we know a bit about Bard'ika, for example he was good at picking up emotions from crime scenes with the force, and at other times it seemed at least to me that he didnt want to let Skirta or any of Skirta's boys down and then his statement of "I... know the planet." kinda secures that theory in my mind...

January 22, 2008 9:48 pm # How does that line secure to in your mind? To play Devil's advocate here I do not recall at all Traviss stating that Bardan was Kiffar. It is probably him, but how would he use that unique Kiffar ability?

January 23, 2008 7:26 am # he wouldnt be using a kiffar ability With Kiffar it is only 1 in 100 that get that ability,
he would be using the force
and the only reason i say that line secures it for me is because it is a very jedi like answer

January 23, 2008 9:59 am # But is the Force capable of doing stuff like that? I've never heard of such a Force Ability. Then again if you think about it the capabilities of of the Force are limitless.

January 23, 2008 2:03 pm # yes--Kiffar can do it, but it said that someone had heard that some jedi could do it too. don't remember the exact person or quote, but i think it was either mirta or fett. hadn't thought of it being bard'ika, though--good thought.
the old man had sandy blond hair. so did bardika. he had a wispy beard. bard'ika did as well, i believe.
in the tapcaf after they leave
"The old man with him--don't see him around much. Gotab, I think. I used to think that was Kad'ika's father, but apparently not."
whats "Gotab"?
Kad'ika has a gold plate, but that's all i know.
apparently, from wookiepedia, KT said that he IS bard'ika. don't remember that.....

January 23, 2008 3:37 pm # well in the begining of tripple zero Kal'buir asked Bard'ika to come with him down to the site of a terrorist attack to see what he could feel through the force
and if you pay attention in a lot of the books it mentions that jedi are able to pick up emotions in objects and areas
