December 31, 2007 7:55 am (Edited December 31, 2007 07:59 am) # I'll use this thread to share the little things I'll do. I'll be starting with a suggestion for the site. :)
Hey guys, never thought of using a background texture to fill the empty space on each side of the site's main layout, so it feels less... empty?
I made 4 of them that you could check out if you'd like, and if you want to see how it would look like spread on a column, I've placed them in a .htm page for display.
Here is the link to the display page :
http://www.geocities.com/magincia_games/Gifts/bgTextures.htm
Admins, people, please tell me what you think. If any is good enough for the site, feel free to use it.
Enjoy! :)
Cast iron and treadmills? Oh yes. Still sculpting me to what I really want to be, and I love it. :)
December 31, 2007 7:58 am # so your saying that you could like, put a backgroung on the site? Cool, sounds interesting. :D
You've been holding out on us again haven't you? Since you haven't given us enough money, I'll guess I'll have to take it out of you piece by piece! - Unknown Mandalorian.
December 31, 2007 8:14 am (Edited December 31, 2007 08:18 am) # Here is an example of what I mean :
Look at the texture at the left. That's what I am suggesting here. :)

December 31, 2007 8:20 am # It's really nice! If onle admin agrees to do such a thing! I think that your textures can make this site not so empty, indeed, it's a good idea!!! :)
December 31, 2007 8:33 am # That is very nice terra, but maybe more colour would be good, lol :) and maybe patterns aswell. But other than that.... very good! I like it! :D

December 31, 2007 8:53 am (Edited December 31, 2007 09:00 am) # Lack of color is really bugging you, huh?? Ok let me add two colored versions just for you.
Here's the link for a display page for the 2 colored ones:
http://www.geocities.com/magincia_games/Gifts/bgTextures_colors.htm
But to be honest, I'm really not sure if they'd work as well as the others for the site. :/

December 31, 2007 8:55 am # Thanks, Terra. Maybe we could have a thread soon about voting for backgrounds, if Aaron approves and possibly says its ok. :)

You live in Britain?? Wow; some beautiful country out there.
I live in the desert near where they shot the scense for the Sarlacc in Ep. VI; or at least for some of the reshoots they did for the re-release. Not sure if the original shots were done here or not; but they probably were

If you've seen a movie with endless stretches of sand and desert, especially if it's an American movie, it was probably shot there. Though some go to Africa and do it for real there in the Sahara (I think the scenes of Luke's home were shot in Sudan someplace. . . . not sure)

Cursors this time. I had made them for my sweetie (sir Drakus up here) but he said I could share them with you too, so here they are.
First, this is a simple 2-colors (black and white) cursor with the shape of the Mando Skull. Because of the direction the mouse arrow has to be, I had to rotate the symbol. I've put it on a striped background so you can plainly see that the area around the cursor itself is completely transparent. Click on the link below the picture to download the zipped cursor of the Skull.
http://www.geocities.com/magincia_games/Gifts/SkullCur.zip
Got 3 more little cursors for you, simple arrows in the colors of Boba.
A Dark static arrow, a Dark Animated arrow, and a Green static arrow. The Dark Animated cursor is very similar to the static Dark one, but it has a part that will flash from black to grey. The area around the cursor is completely transparent too, as you can see on the pictures.

Nothing too fancy, I wanted to keep the files small, so the cursors won't lag your PC when you use them. I hope you like.
Enjoy! :)

January 1, 2008 7:32 pm (Edited January 1, 2008 07:34 pm) # What version of Windows do you have? There's usually a tool that comes with Windows that allow you to extract ZIP files. Once extracted, you need to place the cursors in your Cursors folder. That's in
c:\WINDOWS\Cursors\
If you don't have any tool to extract Zip files, you can try to find WinZip on the web, or if you want, I could send you an old version of it via email.
I also joined .GIF files in the zips, simple pictures to remind you what you downloaded exactly. The cursors are the .ANI and .CUR files, that's what you need to put in your Cursors folder.
