Daphne chewed her lip. She had a decision to make. She could spurn Nathaniel and wait until the Luna Eclipse to make up her mind or she could have him now. She wondered if the need to find a mate would abate if she had him. Somehow she doubted it.

She looked at Nathaniel longingly and he made the decision for her by giving her a searing kiss. Damn it all to hell, she was going to give herself wholly to this man and if she ended up like Anita, well at least she wouldn’t be alone.

“I adore you,” Daphne whispered as Nathaniel’s lips parted from hers briefly as if waiting for her answer. He kissed her fiercely in response. Oh yeah, she’d made the right decision for now. She’d worry about the rest in the morning.

Paul settled in the mess hall tackling his double deckered roast beef sandwich.  Which was quite a feat in itself.  Clearing out an entire covern sure whet an appetite.  But Paul felt uncomfortable.  Eyes were on him.  And not just because of the huge gash on the side of his face from the rocket launcher or the vampire blood-stains on his trenchcoat.  These were female eyes. As Paul shifted to get a look he saw a particularily pretty female named Michelle approach him.

"Hey Paul, how's it going?"

"Fine," he mumbled through a mouthful of roast beef.

"I hear you took out an entire covern.  Sounds dangerous."  SHe smiled.

"It wasn't just me.  Fort and Griggs were there.  And John.  A slayer.  They saved my butt a few times."

"Don't be so modest.  I'm sure you delivered the final blow to the leader."

"Well technically-"

"Who cares about technicalities!"

Paul sniggered.  "Okay cut the crap Michelle.  Why are you talking to me?"  Paul took a vicious bite out of the sandwich preparing for the sure to come barrage of taunts and jeers from the females.  Get his hopes up and then dash them.  Everyone did this to the Omega.  Even Clara did something like this to him once.  That especially hurt.  He waited.  But nothing came.  Michelle only giggled and seductively slipped her hands over his shoulders.

"I want to spend the Luna Eclipse with me."  Paul nearly choked on the hunk of beef in his mouth.  He sat there coughing and hacking.  SHe panicked an began slapping him on his back.  Which only made him cough more.  Ater a few minutes he settled down enough to talk.

"Why would you *cough* ask an Omega?"

She giggled again.  "Haven't you heard the new rumour?  Loxley's the omega now.  FIrst he was nearly killed by you,"  she smiled there, "and then he was beaten by the new wolf Nikoli."

Paul burst into a fit of laughter. "Loxley an Omega? Okay joke's up.  Get serious here."

She looked at him smiling devilishly.  "Oh I'm dead serious.  You still haven't answered my question.  Do you wish to spend the Luna Eclipse with me?"  Suddenly Paul couldn't find words to say anything.

"I- uh-"  She cut him off.

"Perfect!  See you then Paul."  She flashed him another smile and walked off trying to make herself look attractive as possible.  And it worked.  Paul's gaze lingered on her form before being snapped out of his stupor.  He shook his head and mumbled, "Gotta find someone to took to."  He got up and made his way to the only person who had showed him kindness before.  Daphne.

It took Daphne a moment to hear the knock at the door because she was so wrapped up in the man kissing her.

“Ignore it,” Nathaniel growled possessively.

“It might be important,” Daphne said as she wiggled her way out of his arms.

He reached for her but she was already on her feet, “Don’t be long, I’ll get lonely.”

Daphne smiled back at him, attempted to straighten her clothes and opened the door.

Paul’s jaw dropped, “Sorry I didn’t realise you had company.”

Daphne followed Paul’s gaze and realised her hair was rather dishevelled along with her partially torn dress. She closed the door slightly to hide behind it. “What’s the matter Paul?”

Paul sighed.  "Well I've been asked to the Luna Eclipse by Michelle."

"Good for you!  SO why are you here?"

"Do you not see what's the matter with that?  I was an Omega!"

"Was an Omega?"

"Yes supposedly Loxley is the new Omega.  He was beaten up by the new wolf who called him an Omega."

She snorted.  "Serves him right."

"Do you mind if I come in?"  He made his way to push the door open.  But she held firm.

"Actually I do mind.  I'm a bit... busy right now.  Personal stuff."

Paul was slightly taken aback.  "Oh sorry."  He sniffed the air.  She had a distinct smell all over her and coming from behind her. Fort.  He smiled knowingly but continued on.

"I have one question.  Would I be betraying Clara by going with Michelle?"

Nick walked on his own usual route.  As he walked he began to think.  And immediately his thoughts turned to Daphne.  He shook them off disgusted with himself.  Amazing how much the Luna Eclipse affects wolves.  Friendships turn into crushes.  But he had enough with love.  He knew about Nathaniel FOrtesque and Daphne.  Everyone did.  Every moment he couldn't be with her hurt him.  He sighed.

"Such is the way of love."

Love is not fair.  But to quote one of his favourite books Love is patient, love is kind.  He knew there was someone out there for him.  And all he had to do was wait.  Nick didn't feel alone.  It felt like someone was following him.  And this person had a nasty feeling that raised his hackles.  He heard voices over to his left.

"We need to go now!”

That was Anita?  When did she return?  Oh well.  Might as well see what's wrong.  He joged off in the direction of the voice.  And was greeted with Anita and Loxley smashing into him.

"Oh hello Anita."

Daphne was almost tempted to close the door on Paul but he was her friend and he needed her advice no matter how inappropriate the timing. “No Paul, you would not be betraying Clara. I think she’d want you to be happy.”

Paul nodded taking this in. He slipped his hands into his pockets. “What do you think of Michelle?”

Daphne heard Nathaniel growl in frustration and then he was up behind her. One arm wrapped around her waist pulling her close to him, the other went to the door in an attempt to close it. “Michelle is nice,” Daphne said clearly distracted, “You should go talk to her. Get to know her.”

“Now preferably,” Nathaniel rumbled low in his throat.

Paul took an immediate step back, “Okay I can take a hint.”

Nathaniel closed the door before Paul could say anymore. He locked the door and his gaze met Daphne’s. “Next time someone knocks on the door when I’m here, please ignore it.”

Daphne smiled, “Rather bossy, aren’t you.”

“I don’t like interruptions when I have the attention of a beautiful woman,” Nathaniel said as he pinned her against the door, “Now I need to make up for lost time.”

Daphne chuckled as she lifted her hand before his lips met hers. “I think you need a shower Mr Fortesque, you’ve got blood all over you.”

Nathaniel stood back looked at himself and shrugged, “Didn’t worry you before.”

“Maybe not but I was going to offer to wash you,” Daphne said with a sultry tone.

“Oh,” Nathaniel said as a broad grin spread across his face.

-

Anita pulled Nick to his feet in one smooth motion, “Run my friend, the devil himself may be after us.”

Nick didn’t hesitate, he knew that Anita was serious, she rarely joked. The fact that she was dragging Loxley along only confirmed his suspicions, as only something very bad would make Anita do such a thing. “Where are we heading?”

“Into a populated area,” Anita told as she hurried them along. She was sleek and lean, Anita was made to run.

“Town would be closest then,” Nick told as they made their way to the fading city lights.

“Dawn comes,” Loxley told as he kept up with them.

“Is that good or bad?” Nick queried.

“No idea,” Anita confessed, “I just know that this thing likes to kill beings that are by themselves. Let’s hope that since there are three of us together it’ll leave us alone.”

-

Karen was waiting for Griggs. She took him into her arms and hugged him, “So did you bring back my brother’s car?”

Crispin checked his phone. He had one missed call, from his daughter. He listened to the panicked message Anita had left him. Crispin took a big whiff of the air, searching for Anita's scent. When he found it, he whirled the car around in a 180-degree drift and floored the gas pedal.

The room was dark. Nikoli stared at the ceiling. There was something on his chest. He looked down, finding it was an arm. He looked over, Daphne was lying beside him asleep. He looked back at the ceiling, runing his had along her side. She woke up, "I missed you." she whispered. She moved closer to him, about to kiss him. There was a roar, and the door was smashed inward. Daphne screamed, suprised, as Nikoli rolled out of the bed already changing into a halfwolf. It was the wolf that had bit him, turned him into what he was now. It leaped at him, knocking him to the ground. Nikoli kicked the wolf off and stood. The wolf was gone, in its place stood Loxley. Nikoli charged him, and Loxley slashed with his claws, opening red gashes against the black fur. Loxley kicked Nikoli back, slaming him to the wall.Nikoli looked up, and saw a new wolf, white, with bi-colored eyes. He had never seen this one before, He prepared to tackle the creature, but looked down and saw he was a human. He looked back at the wolf, but, only it wasnt a wolf anymore. It was the halfling slayer, Fort. Nikoli made to run at him, but Fort drew a shotgun. He fired, and Nikoli was thrown against the wall. He slumped to the floor, his vision fading fast. Before his vision was gone, he saw the halfling take Daphne in his arms, and Daphne pull him to the bed.

The room was dark. Nikoli's eyes snapped open, stareing at the ceiling. He breathing was quick, and he took a moment to calm down. He sat up. The door was where it needed to be, he wasnt on the floor dead, and he was alone. He swung his feet off the bed put his elbows on his knees, stareing at the floor. He sat like that for a while, listening to the quiet sounds in the hallway. He looked at the small clock in his room 5:30 the face said, completely impartial to all that happend around it. He had been asleep for long enough. He stood, showered dressed and left. He grabbed something from the cafeteria, and decided to go outside.

Daphne woke feeling content if not a little sore in places she had forgotten she had as she stretched. She felt warm arms around her and opened her eyes to see Nathaniel smiling at her like a Cheshire cat. “You’re looking happy this morning,” she commented.

“Why wouldn’t I? You’ve made me very happy,” Nathaniel said with a cheeky grin.

As Daphne sat up she noticed that her room looked like a war zone. Her furniture was either broken or knocked over. Various pictures frames had been thumped from the wall and some had their glass smashed on the floor.

“I guess I owe you some new furniture,” Nathaniel said scratching his head and looking a little embarrassed.

Daphne chuckled she had lost how many times and how many ways they’d come together last night. It had been pretty obvious that Nathaniel had never been with another wolf before. At first he had treated her like she was going to break. But then he’d started to realise she was much stronger and more vigorous than any of his previous partners during the Luna Eclipse.

“There’s probably not a lot of point in getting me new furniture until the Luna Eclipse passes,” Daphne said casually.

Nathaniel raised a brow looking intrigued, “Does mean you want to see me again tonight?”

Daphne smiled at him devilishly, “Do you think you could stay away?”

Nathaniel laughed, “I thought you said it was rude to answer a question with a question.”

Daphne slapped him playfully, “Now I’m just trying to be a saucy vixen.”

Nathaniel grabbed her by her upper arms and pulled her close to him, “You’ve succeeded,” he said as he planted a kiss on her lips.

Daphne broke off the kiss before it led to other things, “I’m going to have a shower and then I suggest we have some breakfast.”

Standing up, Nathaniel considered following her into the shower, but he did feel rather hungry. He slipped on his pants and picked up the rest of his clothing. Vampire blood, various slashes and holes made the outfit a little unsuitable to wear. He thought it best to go back to his own room and change.

Nathaniel walked to the bathroom and stuck his head in the door, “I’m going back to my room to change. Wait for me and I’ll come to breakfast with you.”

“Deal,” Daphne said as she shampooed her hair.

Nathaniel took a moment to leave, he really was smitten with her, and he just hoped it was more than the effect of the Luna Eclipse. He picked up his things and headed back to his room. It was early and there were very few wolves up. Nathaniel also took a shower although he was loath to wash off Daphne’s scent. He liked the smell of her on his skin.

Daphne met him at his door. She was wearing a pair of three-quarter length jeans and a low cut sleeveless shirt that had him wondering why they had left her room. He shook his head. Apparently the potency of the Luna Eclipse had not waned.

She took his hand and they walked side by side to the mess hall. Daphne decided that she needed more than fruit this morning. She went for eggs on toast with a sausage on the side. She put a dab of barbeque sauce on everything and found a table to sit at.

Michelle quickly sat down beside Daphne much to her surprise. “I can’t find Paul, have you seen him?”

Daphne cut a slice off her toast and lifted it to her mouth, “Not since last night.”

Michelle’s eyes widened until Nathaniel sat opposite Daphne, “He wasn’t sure what to do with you.” Nathaniel rumbled as he took a bite out of some bacon.

“Oh,” Michelle replied. “I’ll go look for him.”

“You do that,” Nathaniel growled.

“No need to be rude,” Daphne said as she had sliced the end off her sausage and dipped it in the sauce.

“Paul’s timing was less than convenient,” Nathaniel grumbled.

Daphne shook her head and then noticed Nikoli at the breakfast bar. She felt a little guilty about taking him dancing, however she never actually made a move on him. “Nikoli may be a little annoyed at me this morning. I went dancing with him last night.”

Nathaniel looked up at her possessively, “Is that why you were dressed as you were?”

Daphne nodded, “I told you I’d had dreams about you, I couldn’t sleep.”

This seemed to placate Nathaniel for now.

Nikoli had noticed Daphne and now was trying to keep from showing it. He didnt think it was working. Leaving the cafeteria was very hard. His mind was screaming at him to go and do something, and right now, the part of him that was usualy easily supressed was uncontrolable. Inside he was fighting with himself, his entire mind trying to push him towards Daphne. Nikoli was struggleing to resist. If he gave in and came close to her Fort would attack him, or he would attack Fort. Right now, he didnt think he could keep himself from killing him, and killing the Alpha's grandson was not a good idea. But he couldent leave, instead, he took a seat at a table almost completely on the other side of the room. He was out of Fort's field of view, but he could see Daphne. He tried not to stare at her, but her outfit was driving him insane. He thought she glanced at him when Fort looked down for a moment, but he wasnt going to trust his senses. The Luna Eclipse was playing hell with them.

John walked down the street, the AK-47 resting on his shoulder. The sun would be up soon, he hoped Audrey could get inside. Even though the time he had spent with her had been hectic, he had enjoyed it. He continued to walk, thinking to himself Those werwolfs wern't that bad he thought. He stopped, suprised that he had thought that. He sped up again, wanting to get home. Supprisingly, they were not as mindlessly bloodthirsty as he thought they would be. If there had been more time, he might have had a good conversation with them. He opend the inner steel door, walked in and locked it behind him.

Arriving at the coven house with Audrey, Ashryn and Striker were made aware of some of the more recent events. A young male and female vampire, Matthew and Lola, walked up to him obviously troubled.

"Where've you two been? The were's are going nuts! A couple of them took out Max at the door and demanded to talk to D. The she-were said something about a couple of demons running loose." Matthew sounded under a lot of pressure.

Ashryn glared at Matthew, "Then perhaps you should be telling D about this and not me, you idiot."

Lola looked sadly at Ashryn, "He left with Joo-Eun a while back and hasn't returned yet."

Striker looked at Ashryn, then at Lola, "No one tried to contact him?"

She looked at each of them in turn, then dropped her head in sadness "We tried. No luck."

Ashryn sighed, "Lola, this is Audrey. She'll be staying with us a bit. Set her up with guest quarter for the time being."

Audrey was led upstairs by Lola as Striker and Matthew followed Ashryn to his quarters.

"Now, Matthew explain to me exactly what happened here..."

Paul had spent the night at his place.  He couldn't work up the courage to go and see Michelle.  He sat at his little shack with most of his wordly possessions.  He pulled the ring out of his pocket and fidgeted with it.  Most of the night his thoughts had been with Clara.  Paul wanted a life mate.  Not just a filler.  He wanted someone who would be with him forever.

Nikoli continued to watch them, he had barely eaten, seeing Fort with Daphne was upseting him. Fort began to turn his head, and Nikoli looked over at a piece of fruit as if he were debateing with himself wether or not to go and get it. Nikoli ate his sandwhich decideing that he should leave rather then wait here long enough to actually consider attacking Fort. He stood, and walked past their table. He paused for a moment, ignoring Fort's slight growl. "I wanted to tell you that I enjoyed last night, Daphne." He said, smiling slightly. He left, not walking quickly.

As dawn came Paul pocketed the ring and began wandering through the conclave.  He wasn't sure if he was hungry or not.  So he headed to the cafeteria and was about to enter but decided against it.  He wasn't in the mood to eat.  He needed to talk to Michelle.  And speaking of the devil she walked out of the door.

"Paul!  There you are!  I've been looking everywhere for you."

"Me too.  Well sort of.  I really need to talk to you."

She eyed him suspiciously.  "Sure.  But come to my place."  Before Paul could say anything more she grabbed his hand.  Paul almost withdrew his hand instinctively but decided against it.  As long as Loxley was the unofficial Omega he would have to get used to behaviour like this.  He allowed himself to be led to her place.  Once he was in he sucked through his teeth.  She was loaded with cash.  And he could tell.  From the couch to the cabinet with some pretty expensive looking China.  She saw him gaping and spoke up.

"Heirlooms.  My father and mother were rich noble werewolves living in the renaissance.  They had their own conclave in Europe.  When they got old they decided to head to America for some odd reason.  And then I was born.  And then they both went missing a little while ago.  They were both killed by vampires."  She sat on the couch drawing her knees up to her chest.  Paul recognizing this did what he thought best, he sat beside her and placed an arm around her.  She seemed a little comforted by this.

"I know how you feel.  When I was first turned to a were this particularily blood-thirsty were killed my parents.  But he bit me.  So I killed him as soon as I transformed.  But it still gave me no solace.  So I turned to this conclave only to find he was an elder here.  So they made me Omega.  And then just recently Clara was killed by... whatever it was.  But now back to why I'm here.  When the Luna Eclipse comes I don't just want some person who will be there once and leave.  I want someone who's going to last in my life."

((Will post the rest later.))

Anita led the two males and heard a car screech to a halt up ahead. She lifted her nose and caught the faint scent of Crispin. She smiled as she realised that her father had received her message.

“This way!” Anita shouted as Nick and Loxley ran along behind her. Anita leapt into the backseat of Crispin’s car. Nick hopped in beside her and Loxley lumbered into the front seat. Crispin floored it and the car sped always.

Anita looked over her shoulder but nothing came out of the forest. “Thanks Dad,” she said as she patted Crispin affectionately on the shoulder.

“Not a problem, Anita.” Crispin said warmly as they returned to the coven. It was time to start the hunt.

-

Nathaniel simply raised a brow at Nikoli’s comment. He’d known where Daphne had been most of the night and it had been with him. “I get the impression Nikoli is looking for a fight.”

Daphne shrugged, “Blame it on the Luna Eclipse. I seem to be rather popular at the moment.”

Nathaniel looked her up and down, “I know why.” He grinned wolfishly at her, “I’ve got personal experience.”

She slapped him playfully on the wrist, “Shh, here’s not the place to say such things.”

Nathaniel continued to grin and took another mouthful of his breakfast. He spotted Anita as she walked through the door and his attention diverted to his mother, “Something’s wrong.”

Daphne turned to see where he was looking. She saw Anita and her face looked grave. “I have a feeling that it’s game time.”

Joo-Eun let out a sigh, with dawn approaching she and D needed to return to the coven. D was grinding his back teeth in annoyance.

“Ash may have returned while we’ve been searching,” Joo-Eun pointed out and thought vaguely of Valiant wandering the streets. It irked her that he was so touchy.

D didn’t look pleased, “We’ll continue the search tomorrow.”

Joo-Eun opened her flip phone and dialed the coven to get a ride. “Hi Matt, what do you mean? Werewolves looking for D? You can’t be serious.”

D looked at her curiously as Joo-Eun’s face went through a series of confused and bemused looks.

“They say a demon is behind the weird deaths?” Joo-Eun said as she looked at D meaningfully.

D took the phone from her hand, “Speak” was all he said.

Audrey felt like a lost lamb. She followed Lola but found her mind wandering to John. She hoped he was okay. She was still very uncertain about her decision but for now she'd need to stay at the coven. By dark, after she'd fed, she could look for John again.

John had got something to eat, and sat down, turning on the TV and DVD. Predaotr was in the DVD player, as it usualy was, and he opend a bag of chips as it started. His cell rang. He pulled it off his belt, and opend it. "Yeah?"

"Its Fort. You might want to be ready, its gona happen soon."

"Any Idea whe-" John began but Fort had hung up.

He turned off the movie, he would need to get some sleep. He wondered why Fort had hung up so fast. "Goddamn Luna Eclipse." He muttered.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Nikoli had left, first going to the cave that he had used as a seperate living area. He picked up a bar of iron and headed to a small clearing. He stepped into a hut he had built, covering the door with deerskin. He put the iron in the fire that still burnt in the center. He sat on the ground and waited. Later he pulled the glowing bar from the fire, and placed it on an anvil. He began to hit the metal slowly shaping it into a flat sharp blade. He stepped outside, and lowered the metal into a bucket of water. Soon, when the metal had cooled he took it and wrapped a strip of leather around the machete's handle. He decided to put out the fire, and left.

Michelle stopped and reflected upon what he said.  "I was pretty close to Clara.  You need to realize you're not the only one who misses her.  And there are others here who are willing to help you through these kind of times."
She snuggled up to his chest.  "She was great for you.  It was obvious.  But I hope I can be there for you."

He smiled.  I never thought you that deep.  You seemed... superficial."

She put up a face that oozed mock seriousness, "When 150 years you are, wise you become."

"But what about the Luna Eclipse?  Honestly for me I'd rather have someone to last forever than 1 night of fun."

She shrugged.  "If you want it that way so be it.  I can wait.  But in this time why don't we get to know each other?"

"I'd like that."

After a little bit of talking he left a happy man.  He felt he just did Clara proud.  He was definately hungry now.  And he realized he hadn't showered.  He still had dried blood all over his face.  He made his way to the mess hall.  And he saw Anita, Nick, and Loxley talking to Fort and Daphne.  As he sliped into the conversation Nick pulled him aside.

"You look pretty chipper Paul."

"Well life may be turning around for me."

"Rebounded from Clara already?"

"Not quite.  I have come to terms with her death. I figured she wouldn't want me to mope."

"Good on ya friend."  He clapped him on the back.

"So what's going on here?"  Nick gave him the briefing about him feeling weird in the forest and meeting Anita and Loxley.  Paul listened to Anita and Fort.

D and Joo-Eun returned to the coven two hours before daylight.

"What the hell is this business with werewolves and demons? The girl wants to form an alliance, so what? They're the enemy, let them fight these demons on their own. Matt, come here."

"What is it, D?"

"Hold still."

In a vent of frustration and rage, D punched Matt square in the stomach, sending him back about 30 feet.

"I only feel a bit better. From now on, if any fleabag comes wandering here for help, you tell them no, or I'll rip your damn head off. Got it?"

Everyone else seemed to agree just fine, after they finished looking at Matt, who was still on the ground in pain.

Ashryn spoke out first. "Oh, D, we brought back the girl you wanted."

D was returning to his throne. The others crowded around the table.

"Good. I'll inspect her later. Where's she off to?"

"Lola is preparing a room for her on the second floor."

"Alright. You two didn't happen to come across that insolent bastard Valiant, did you? If anyone does, kill him, if I don't do it yet. He's become a nuisance to me lately, and I would like to see his head on a silver platter."

"Funny you mention him, boss. We did run into him, but it was only a short bit before we got back here. He said something about him going to the wolves to help go against you but we didn't really care."

"Damn right you shouldn't care about a waste like him. I'm going to continue my search tomorrow, by the way. Joo-Eun will be coming with me too."

"Yes, sir. Uh, what are we going to do if those werewolves come back about the demons?"

"If I happen to be here, I may or may not listen to their bedtime story. If I'm not here, then they can wait in the dungeons or come back during the day. Go tell that to Savage so he remembers it. And tell him not to bother our new guest, either."

"Right-o. Will do."

Ash ran off to tell Savage the news. D, Matt and Striker remained at the table, where they continued to discuss other things, until D sent them off to get some sleep.

Nikoli had made his way back to the conclave, he was uncomfortable outside, something wasnt right. He had stopped by the cave and grabbed his uzi. He stopped by the cafeteria, joining the group that had formed. He listened to what they were talking about, but quickly his hormones decided to distract him. He probably shouldn't have come here. He knew that the closer the Luna Eclipse was (5 days right?) the more likely he was to do something stupid, and cause a fight. The rational part of him realised that Daphne would probably stay with Fort during the Luna Eclipse, the other part was upset at this, but he still clung to the hope that it was just the eclipse. He wanted to be with her, he didnt care if it was during the Luna Eclipse or not.

Anita found Nathaniel and quickly told him of what she, Loxley and Nick had experienced.

"Sounds like our demon friends alright," Nathaniel said as he scratched his chin.

"Should we start hunting them?" Daphne asked.

Nathaniel shook his head, "I'm waiting on someone else to join us."

"Who exactly?" Anita asked.

Nathaniel smiled, "Oh I think you should wait until he arrives. I can't do his presence justice."

Daphne raised her brow at the sarcasm in Nathaniel's voice, "Something tells me we're in for a real treat."

Anita crossed her arms and looked at Nathaniel, "Is it someone you've worked with before?"

Nathaniel shrugged, "Maybe..."

Anita didn't look impressed as she had an inkling as to who Nathaniel may have called upon.

"I suggest we get our weapons ready," Nick suggested.

"I second that," Paul said with a grin, "By the way where is Griggs?"

-

Michelle walked into the mess hall and made a bee line to Daphne. She dragged her away from the others despite the depth of conversation.

"I found Paul!" Michelle said excitedly.

Daphne smiled and noticed that Nathaniel looked annoyed at her departure. "That's great Michelle," she said politely.

"He's looking for someone to be his life mate. I'm so excited I've had a crush on him for so long. I was never able to say anything because he was the Omega and I was terrified the others would hurt him." Michelle gushed.

Daphne was surprised by that, "So you've wanted to be with Paul for a while then?"

"Ever since he came to our pack," Michelle admitted, "He has the most dreamy eyes."

Daphne looked over to Nathaniel and smiled, "I guess you'll just have to let him know how deeply you feel about him."

Michelle looked nervous, "What if he thinks it's only an effect of the Luna Eclipse?"

"Now that I don't have an answer to," Daphne said as she looked at Nathaniel again.

"Hey Fort do you mind if raid your weapons cache?"

"Be my guest.  And take Nicky here with you."

"Just Nick please."

Nick followed Paul to Fort's crates.  Nick grabbed himself a nasty looking sword one and a half handed sword.  As well as a shotgun and some shells.

"Always did prefer swords."

"You have good taste Nick my friend."  Paul went through the crate and picked up some more M203 rounds as well as some clips for the M16.  He also found a few incindiary grenades and some flash bangs.

"Hmm.  These flashbangs mat come in handy if we meet some vamps who are unwilling to talk."

They began to leave when Paul saw Michelle.  She was waiting for him.

"Hey Paul I have something to tell you..."

"Can it wait?"  He held up the grenade launcher to emphasize his point.

"Well I guess."  She was biting her lip.

"You look awfully cute when you that you know?"

She blushed.  "I can help fight you know-"

"NO!"  Michelle and Nick were startled by this.

"I've already lost Clara.  I couldn't lose you.  Just this once.  Please?"

"Fine.  But what if you don't come back?"

"I will I promise.  And here's to seal the deal."  Paul leaned forward and kissed her lightly on the cheek.  "Please wait for me."  Nick followed smiling.  Michelle just closed her eyes and savoured the memory.

Paul and Nick entered the mess hall.  It looks like plans were being laid.

D was interrupted in his sleep. It was Savage who disturbed him.

"D! There's gunfire going on somewhere!"

"Why did you wake me up to tell me that there is gunfire! (D punches Savage and sends him flying into the wall) going about, when you haven't even told me where the gunfire is coming from?"

"I thought it might be the werewolves and their demons.. from earlier, y'know. I thought.. maybe we could help them...ow, you suck..."

"You're a vampire, those lycanthrope animals are not to be trusted. They are the enemy. These "demons" haven't gone about coming towards us, probably because they know I'm here, but as long as they don't disturb us, we don't disturb them. And that means no helping werewolves. Got it? Now go back to sleep, we'll need our strength for the night. I sense your bloodlust is rising. Have you fed recently?"

"Not for a week, sir. But I was--"

"A week? Ugh, you can't take care of yourself. This is like babysitting. Here, take this."

D threw a tiny red capsule to Savage, who bit down on it, and warm liquid spat into his mouth, feeling better than ever.

"Thanks, boss. Sorry for waking you."

"Eh, don't do it again unless it's something worth seeing me for. Now get."

December 29, 2007 5:35 pm #

Daphne returned to Nathaniel’s side, “So what’s the plan?”

“We get armed and we wait for my special guest,” Nathaniel said as he decided to go back to his room. Paul and Nick had been gone for too long and he didn’t want them tampering with too much from his crates.

Daphne walked with him, “What’s so secret about your special guest?”

“He’s a little excentric,” Nathaniel said not willing to say anything more.

Daphne raised a brow, “So how long will he take to get here?”

Nathaniel grinned at her devilishly, “Long enough for me to spend some quality time with you.”

-

Anita made her way through the throng of wolves to see her father. She felt that a line of trust had been formed between Crispin and her. For so long she had kept secrets from him in fear that he would come down on her in feral anger. But it seemed that Crispin did have some understanding when it came to family matters. Anita wondered if age had mellowed him somewhat.

Crispin stood speaking to his pack. He was informing them of the latest developments. Anita felt a swell of pride for her father. He truly was a great leader and she was sad to know that her mother was no longer by his side. Like so many others, Anita’s mother had been killed by slayers. That’s why it had been hard to accept that her own son had become one.

John should be sleeping, but he couldent. He was wandering the streets, looking for something to do. Unfortunately Murk Valley was a very boring place. The only thing he could do was go to a movie, or a club, and half the clubs were controlled by vampires. He didnt want to go to a movie either. He decided to continue to walk around, maby he would run into someone.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Daphne had left. Currently that was good, he could listen and think about the plan. But she had left with Fort and that was bad. If he had been younger, and therefore less in control of himself, Nikoli would have killed him by now, but things were different. And, though he hated to admit it, Nikoli was glad he was here to help with the demon. He tried not to think about Daphne, or Fort, and listend to the others.

Loxley was wondering where he'd gone wrong. Rumours were running rampant about him being the new Omega. It was humiliating. He couldn't be the new Omega that meant his chances of being with Daphne were close to zero. Not that it mattered, he'd also heard that Daphne had chosen Fort as her mate. To say he was devastated was an understatement.

He staggered to his room still wounded and sat on his bed. Chances were he'd be alone for the Luna Eclipse and it was only five days away. He hung his head low. He would be hunting the demon it was the only way to lower the heat burning through his veins.

Nikoli left, he didnt want to stand around anymore. He stepped outside, and walked to the clearing near the forge-hut he had built. He drew his sword and began to hack at a tree wildly. It served two purposes, helping to disperse the anger and stress that had been building up for the past couple of days, and it would give him wood to use as fuel for the furnace. Eventualy he was exausted, he piled the wood under a slight overhang of the hut's roof, and headed back to the conclave.

When he got to his room, he got into the bed and closed his eyes, he hoped he didn't dream again.

Joo-Eun lingered around hoping to speak to Ashryn. She wanted to know where he’d been and why this new female vampire was so important to D. Since she’d been out with Valiant she had missed the goings on at the coven. She wondered if the new addition was vital to their plan of destroying the werewolves in Murk Valley.

Joo-Eun walked to the Practice Room and began going through the movements of Tai Chi. It relaxed her and made her more focused. Normally Tai Chi was performed first thing of a morning, however since Joo-Eun was a vampire she could no longer follow this tradition.

She found herself wondering about the idea of a demon killing their kind. It certainly explained a lot of things. It was also good to know that the werewolves did not know how to weld such power. She did not like the idea of simply waiting for the demon to destroy the werewolves, the coven had lost many of it’s own to the bizarre deaths.

As Joo-Eun continued she saw Striker enter the room, “Good day,” she said as she remained in motion.

“Want to spar?” he asked as he viewed the various weapons stocked in the Practice Room.

“Not right now, I need to finish.” Joo-Eun said as she performed Parting the Clouds.

***

Audrey was growing anxious. She had been left in her room alone and did not know her way around the coven she was now seemingly a part of. She could also feel the hunger returning. It was coming on fierce and she knew that she would need to hunt and she’d need to do it soon.

If it bleeds, we can kill it.

"You mind explaining to me exactly why you place our coven at risk by openly attacking werewolves?! Why even bother with a neanderthal like valiant?" Ashryn asked furiously as he entered the practice room where Joo-Eun and Striker stood.

He was normally calm, driven by discipline born of 200 years of experience.
Ashryn allowed his anger to show quite plainly, knowing brutality tended to be the one way to acquire the attention of young vampires. He hated thinking that way, that was the problem with vampires like Valiant. Ashryn was loathe to admit that although loyal to D, he felt the old vampire had grown far too complacent with his position to truly address the issues plaguing the coven. The werewolves were admittedly a major part of that problem, but Ashryn felt that open warfare against them was an invitation to extinction.

Something had to be done...

Joo-Eun continued her movements of Tai Chi, she was now at Paint the Rainbow. She was surprised at Ashryn’s anger, “D is growing complacent. The werewolves are too bold. I have been meeting with Valiant because like me, he wants action. However I do realise that he is rash and unthinking.”

Joo-Eun stopped her movements to study Ashryn. She had always liked him and it displeased her to see him angry, especially at her. It was unusual for him to show such an emotion.

“Valiant is an idiot, worse than that he will bring death upon us.” Ashryn snarled as he glared at Joo-Eun.

“I have promised D that I will not see Valiant again, unless in the heat of battle.” Joo-Eun told and hoped that it would placate Ashryn. She had no dispute with him, nor did she wish to usurp D. “I am on your side, Ashryn.” She said to confirm her loyalties.

If it bleeds, we can kill it.
December 30, 2007 8:46 pm #

Ashryn looked into Joo-Eun's eyes, allowing some of his anger to dissipate.
"See that your actions reflect those loyalties then, child. These are dangerous times, even for our kin. It would not do to make more enemies then we can handle."

With that, he turned and left the room, seeking out Audrey, who would by now, be feeling the urge to feed soon.

John continued to wander the streets, trying to find something to do. Eventualy he decided to wander around in the woods, might be something to do around there, and if not, it was quiet. He turned to make his way there. Eventualy he walked into the darkness, the contrast to the city would have been suprising, if you weren't used to it.

Nikoli was happy, he was in a nice quiet room, and there was a beautiful woman sleeping next to him. He didnt think he would wake her up, just lie here and think. He looked over, Daphne's face was turned towards him, whisps of her brown hair running across her face, for some reason, it made her all the more beautiful. Perhaps he would wake her up afterall.

There was a loud thud, and Nikoli slowly stood up from the cold floor. He checked the time again, he had only been asleep for twenty minuets. He got back into bed and tried to sleep again. This was getting anoying.

Fort lifted his sore body off of Daphne and lied down next to her in his bed. They were both huffing and puffing after the recent....activity. Luckily Fort had remembered to take his clothes off BEFORE this time, so they weren't ripped to shreds. The condition of his room, however was looking like Daphne's did last night.

Fort looked down at his chest, he thought it hurt a little for some reason. There were several scratches here and there, as well as 4 parallel ones running down his cheek. He wiped the blood off and smiled as he turned to see Daphne smiling back at him.

"You're bleeding." Daphne said laughing softly as she regained her breath.

"So are you." Fort said and pointed to a bite mark above her left breast that was beginning to heal. She pulled the sheets up to cover herself and laughed again. Her smile made Fort's heart stop. He wanted to stay, but it was time...

Fort looked at the clock on the nightstand and nodded. He was almost here. He stood and redressed and rearmed.

"Um...Where do you think you're going?" Daphne asked as she stretched

"Our guest is almost here. I gotta pick him up at the airport. Care to join me?" Fort said extending his arm. Daphne shook her head and rolled her eyes but took his hand and got out of bed. Fort watched her dress and he almost pounced on her. "Damn you Luna Eclipse." He thought to himself...

-

Fort and Daphne stood next to Daphne's Diablo facing the exit of the airport. Fort would sneak up and grab Daphne's butt every now and then. He would slap him repeatedly afterwards.

The Doc stode out of the exit drawing much attention. He was tall, had very black skin, long thick dredlocks with various charms hanging amognst them, an old red and blue robe also with charms and foul smelling trinkets, an a gnarley old staff with a rattler at the top. He didnt have to look for Fort. He knew where he was and walked right up to him, his staff rattling the whole way. Daphne rolled her eyes when she realized that Fort had called a witchdoctor, they were somewhat notorious.

"Wookiemon." The Doc said and extended his hand.

"Doc." Fort said and took the skinny, bony hand and shook it. It was like shaking the hand of a skeleton.

"Payment is in order?"

"Yes it is."

Daphne looked at him and noticed something strange, other than th eobvious of course.

"No bags?" She asked.

The Doc looked at the attractive Daphne, then at Fort, then at the moon. He realized it was the Luna Eclipse and smiled at Fort. The wookiemon had gotten a mate.

"I trabel light wolfie." The Doc said and patted a gallon sized red pouch hanging from his belt. Fort leaned into her ear.

"Its a Bag of Holding. It can fit nearly an infinite number of things and reduce size and weight to practically nothing. Its extremely rare and valuable. If you're around the Doc when he dies....pick it up." He said and looked back to the Doc.

"Shall we?" Fort said and waved his hand at the Diablo. The Doc looked past Fort and at the two seater car. Fort realized the problem and made an apologetic face at the Doc. The Doc rolled his eyes and reached into a small sac on his belt. He sprinkled some metallic looking dust on himself and muttered an insane incantation. Before Daphne and Fort's eyes the Doc shrank to the size of a 3 1/2 action figure. Fort had seen this before and knew the drill. He picked the doc up and put him on his shoulder.

"Ok," Fort said and rubbed his hand together "back to the conclave."

Daphne blinked, open mouthed at the Doc for several more moments before Fort grabbed her butt again. Then she proceeded to slap him again.

Tex woke up in the middle of nowhere.  All he remembered was something vicious attacking him, and then he blacked out.  He had no food, no water, and no weapons.  All he had was some clothes.  He knew he wasn't going to make much longer unless he had rescuers.  He needed help, and he needed it fast.  He could feel himself slowly dying.  He picked himself up and started searching for civilization.  He was being drained if power because of his lack of food.  He got tired and decided to lay down for a minute.  But when he closed his eyes, he slowly drifted off into a deep sleep.....

"Ash, come to my chambers."

"Yes, sir."

Ashryn knocked at the door, and entered as the twin doors opened and closed themselves.

"What is it, D?"

"How's our guest?"

"I have not checked on her. Should I go now?"

"We'll go together. Her bloodlust is increasing, so she'll probably need to feed tonight."

"I understand, sir. Where will we take her?"

"I have some ideas...."

The two left to go see their new inmate.

December 31, 2007 6:10 pm #

Daphne could see why Nathaniel had been secretive about his guest but she was not concerned. Any help they could get would have to be better than none.

Daphne found her mind going back to pleasurable events she’d been undertaking with Nathaniel. She hadn’t meant to make him bleed but she knew it was to do with the bonding process during the Luna Eclipse. She wasn’t sure if Nathaniel knew the actual process. The truth was that if they came together under the Luna Eclipse, while their bodies were melded their teeth would shift into fangs and they were to bite each other. The sharing of bodies and blood would link the two wolves as life mates.

She wanted to tell Nathaniel this in case it happened, he had a right to know but she was scared he’d reject her. There was nothing to say that he saw their time together as anything more than effect of the Luna Eclipse.

Daphne concentrated on the road. She felt Nathaniel’s hand on her thigh but he was in conversation with the shrunken witchdoctor.

-

Loxley had gone for a walk on his own in the woods. It was potentially dangerous but he didn’t care. As he walked along he caught the scent of another wolf. The scent was faintly familiar but Loxley couldn’t identify it as a pack mate.

Loxley followed his nose to find a male werewolf collapsed on the ground looking half starved. Loxley poked him with the toe of his boot, “You alive?” he said to the sleeping figure.

Audrey was growing frantic, her hunger was becoming all consuming. “So much for control,” she gasped as she started walking around the edge of the room touching the wall with her hand to try and calm herself.

At that moment the door opened and Audrey launched herself on the first to enter. She had Ashryn pinned to the ground and she opened her mouth to bite him. However he easily evaded her by rolling himself over and throwing her to the ground on her side.

“I must feed!” Audrey snarled as she saw a second vampire, one she could feel was much older. This had to be the coven leader.

-

Joo-Eun turned to Striker, “Now I am ready to spar.”

Striker grinned, “Excellent.” He tossed her a sabre, “Let’s make this fast and furious.”

Joo-Eun lifted a delicate brow, “Oh you won’t know what hit you.” She got into position and balanced the blade in her hand.

“You’ve got that the wrong way, I intend to cut you down to size. Oh wait, you already are small.” Striker sneered.

Joo-Eun loved trash talk, it always made fighting interesting. Striker immediately went on the attack as she’d expected. She deflected his blows easily but she knew he was only playing.

Joo-Eun pivoted and ducked. As she spun she nicked the knee of Striker’s pants with her sabre. “Thought you’d look better in rags, suits your status.”

Striker laughed, “I’m just going to fit in with fashion.” He lunged at her and managed to slice the edge of her shoulder.

“Is that the best you can do? I’ve had worse wounds hunting rats.” Joo-Eun taunted, “Oh wait you are a rat.”

“You really think so?” he flashed her his fangs, “You know rats like to bite.”

“So as you can see you’ve just clarified my assessment of you,” Joo-Eun smirked.

Nikoli woke up, luckily he hadnt dreamed at all. He got up and dressed, grabbing his pistols and sword. He passed several of his packmates, some of them makeing an obvious effort to avoid him. He stepped out side and walked through the woods, not heading anywhere. He caught the scent of wolves nearby. He decided to head in their direction.

Nick loved the weight of the sword hanging in its scabbard on his back.  Yes, he was quite sure that he was old-fashioned, but he did like his swords.  They were more honourable in combat, he thought.  He stood beside Paul, and surveyed the area, muscles tensed like coiled springs.  As of late, he had learned that it would be best never to relax; that's always when the enemies seemed to pop up...

Nikoli walked up to the two wolves. "Loxley." he said, quietly circling around so he stood on the otherside of the fallen wolf. "Come to ruin my life some more, have you?" Loxley asked, his voice not wrathfull as much as depressed. "No, It seems you have a slight problem." Nikoli said, nudging the sleeping wolf with his foot. "Just leave, youve done enough damage to the pack already, outsider. Everything was fine until you and that damned slayer showed up. He took Daphne away from me and you took my status in the pack." Nikoli grabbed him by the collar and pulled his face close to his "You have done that yourself." Nikoli snarled, pushing Loxley back. He turned and walked away.

Paul saw Nick tense up as if prepared for someone to jump out and attack him.

"Woah.  Settle down Nick.  You are in your own conclave."

Nick laughed and relaxed.  But he immediately tensed up again.

"I smell Loxley.  And Nikoli.  And someone I don't recognize."

Paul sniffed.  "Hm.  I smell the new person too.  He's a were.  But it doesn't smell hostile.  But Loxley and Nikoli don't mix.  We should go and see."

"Mmm.  Well I feel like going wolf.  Shall we?"

"Let's.  First there buys lunch."

They both transformed taking care not to shred any clothes.  And they were off.  After much bumping and shoving and dodging they had arrived.  Nick transformed back rolling on the ground.

"I believe you owe me lunch ."

Paul plodded up to Nick still a wolf.  But sniffing the air he changed back.

"They're this way."

They jogged up and saw Nikoli walking away from a fuming Loxley.

Tex had heard a big fight between Nikoli and Loxely while he was faking it, and wasn't going to get up anytime soon.  But it wasn't going to be long until one of the other werewolves found out that he was faking it.  He was going to have to get up sooner or later though, or else he would starve himself to death.  But he still wasn't going to get up after the big fight he had heard.  He was afraid that Loxely would take his anger out on him.

"Hey Nick.  Our guest has gotten up."

"So he has.  Let's get him out of here before he is drawn into a confrontation."

Nick and Paul walked over to the other werewolf and promptly took him out of there before something bad happened.  He tried struggling but he was a little weak so he gave up.

"Let me go."

"Ah it speaks."

"I'm hungry."

Paul piped in.  "Well hello hungry how are you?"  He chuckled to himself.  The new werewolf looked him strangely.

"That wasn't even funny.  Now please I need something to eat."

Nick asked him, "Can you walk?"  The man took an experimental step.

"Yah but not for long."  Paul and Nick slipped his hands around their necks.

Crispin was sitting in the mess hall at his private table, dining on a duck that had been breathing minutes ago. Warm fresh blood caked his lips and a glass of Merlot was half empty on the table, when Nick and Paul came in, carrying an unknown were.

"Who'se this?" Crispin asked, wiping his mouth with a napkin.

"Some new guy we found outside. He was out cold when we found him, then he kinda got up shaky-like and said he was hungry, so where else would we take him?" Nick informed the elder wolf.

"Good job boys. See to it that he gets fed. Have you seen Loxley, by any chance?"

"Yeah, he was there when we found this ol' chap."

"Good. I've been meaning to speak with him." Crispin said before taking his leave.

The young vampire lunged at D's throat, intending to feed on him. D stood with no look of fear on his face as Audrey suddenly stopped in mid-air. D's powers were at work.

"Not a good idea. Come with us, and you shall be able to feed. Any chances at our necks will be severe."

"I... understand."

"Good. Then catch yourself."

D let Audrey down, who then met with the floor. She got up, apologized to Ashryn, and followed the two.

D stopped by a room where he heard swordfighting. The two fighters suddenly froze.

"We're going out to let her feed... remember what I told you about werewolves."

"We got it, D."

"Good. Oh, and Striker, try raising your saber a pinch more."

The two resumed, and Striker followed as D said. Joo-Eun's blade would have cut off his head if he hadn't raised it that little bit.

John had finnaly given in and decided to go see a movie. He saw one about the last man on earth, it was really good. He thought it might just almost top Predator. When he left the theater it was (Time anyone?) and he continued to wander around.

Loxley returned to the conclave after his little spat with Nikoli. It was hardly a fight and Loxley was annoyed that the wolf on the ground had played dead. As he strode through the conclave a few of his pack mates sneered in his direction and pointed. Clearly the rumours about him being the Omega were running rampant.

Loxley heard a whistle and turned, it was Paul, “What do you want?”

“Crispin wants to talk to you,” Paul replied.

Loxley ground his teeth, “Fine.” He snarled as he headed to the Alpha’s quarters.

Anita stood in the conclave’s massive garage awaiting the return of her son. She smiled as she heard the throaty roar of Daphne’s Diablo. The sleek black car pulled up and Anita was surprised at what she saw.

Nathaniel emerged from the Diablo with a miniature man sitting on his shoulder. “Witch doctor,” Anita verbally corrected herself. She watched as the witchdoctor returned to normal size. He bowed when he saw Anita, “You ‘ave ingrained yourself with tis pack,” he said to Nathaniel.

Anita was surprised to see a faint blush on Nathaniel’s cheeks. Anita turned to look at Daphne, she didn’t appear happy. She seemed to be deep in her own thoughts. Nathaniel was so busy talking to the witchdoctor that he hadn’t seemed to have noticed.

Anita walked beside the younger she-wolf, “What troubles you?”

Daphne blinked and looked awkward, “How much does Nathaniel know about the Luna Eclipse?” she whispered.

Anita raised a brow as she understood what trouble the younger she-wolf. She placed an around Daphne shoulders, “Perhaps we should talk in private.”

Daphne gave a nod and left Nathaniel to talk with his strange guest.

Crispin headed Loxley off in the hallway.

"Loxley." He called out.

"What is it? Are you going to berate me for my defeat?" Loxley growled, his fangs bared in rage and self-loathing.

"Quite the contrary, actually." Crispin replied, motioning for Loxley to follow him into the room behind the pack leader.

The room was large, and mostly empty, with the exception of a dozen or so incense candles providing the room's only light. In the center of the room were two tatami mats, one in front of the other. Crispin sat on the one farthest from the door, and motioned for Loxley to sit on the other.

"Did you ever meet Ghandi, Loxley?"

"No, I'm afraid I was never interested in pacifists." Loxley spat, uneasily.

"Pity. That 'pacifist', as you called him, possessed the mental discipline of an paralleled warrior. You could have learned a thing or two from him." Crispin paused, inhaling the smoke from the candles.

"Don't fight them," He said to Loxley, eyes closed, meditating. "Let the candles soothe you, calm you, stay your flaming heart."

Loxley relaxed slightly and took a small whiff of the candles. His shoulders dropped an inch or two.

"No, inhale them, Loxley, inhale them!" Crispin stressed. "Do you want to win Daphne's heart?"

"More than you can imagine."

"Well, I can't directly help you there, but I can ensure you survive long enough to try and woo her some more."

Crispin stood, suddenly assuming a fighting stance.

"Rise, omega."

"What did you call me?!?" Loxley lept at Crispin, claws outstretched. Crispin elbowed Loxley in the stomach, midleap, grabbed Loxley's face with his free hand, and tossed the wolf against the back wall.

"Unless you learn to control your bestial impulses, you with either become the omega or die a humiliating death before the Lunar Eclipse passes."

Loxley stood up shakily, staring at Crispin, unsure of what would come next.

"Come back to your mat." The pack leader instructed.

"Now then, I'm going to teach you to reign in your hormonal urges, not compleely, mind you, that can't be done, but at least enough to keep you from any more standoffs like the one you had with Nikoli." Crispin paused, as he noticed Loxley was embracing the incense fumes.

"and should you get into a fight, I will show you how to do it correctly.  Jujitsu, Kung Fu, Bushido, even Ninjutsu, all have I mastered. I will teach you how to fight defensively, and come out on top with relatively no trouble."

Crispin rose from his mat, ad Loxley did the same.

"Now come at me again. Class is in session."

Loxley complied. And his education began.
