Topic: Super Smash Bros. Brawl!

So, yeah, this topic is devoted to the upcoming game for the nintendo wii. Here's the official site:

Just wondered if any one on the BFFC was excited about this game's fast approaching arrival (Comes out December 3!).

I'm mostly jazzed about the new characters for this installment. Wario's finally playable, and so is Meta Knight. But the big news is the fact that 2 non-Nintendo characters are joining the fray this time 'round:

Solid Snake...

and...

Sonic!

You heard right folks, Sonic the Hedgehog will be a playable character! Other new people include:

Pokemon Trainer ( actually lets you play as Charizard, Squirtle, or Ivysaur, switching out as need be)
Zero Suit Samus (Actually Samus after you somehow break her robo-suit)
Pit (from Kid Icarus)
Ike (from Fire Emblem)
Lucas (from the japanese-only Earthbound 3)
and Diddy Kong.

Personally, I'm jazzed about all the new characters. If I could add a character, I'd choose either Megaman or Nightmare from Soul Caliber.

ahh i was thinking of doing this topic myself. Seems you beat me to it :( anyways, i can't wait for Brawl to come out. The day my friend gets it, I'm going to his house and we're pretty much gonna spend the whole day playing through it.

PS- There are a lot more new characters to come btw. SSBB is to have about 50 characters from what I've heard.

I think that Sonic was sold/ bought by Nintendo a little while back so that it could be played by the kids on their Game Boys, especially since Sega no longer made consoles.

Sega turned into a Video Game Developer and made a contract with Nintendo. I doubt Sega would have been bought by Nintendo and have Sonic games on the PSP and Xbox. Which is irksome because I don't plan on buying either. That's what I believe happened, I might need to look it up.
Don't get me wrong, I love Sonic and am still an avid fan of the American comic book series.

But anyway I'm excited about Meta-Knight and Sonic so I'll probably get the game once the price goes down, if it ever does.

Also I'm reminded of the game Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games in progress.

Well I think its obvious who the best/most awsomest character now is. It used to be Link, but now I think Solid Snake may be quite the challenge of coolness for Link.

Bah Marth is better.  And he's still better.

i didn't like Marth at all. that pokemon trainer looks fun to use, considering u can use 3 freakin pokemon (so its like a 3 in 1).

The only reason I like Marth is because Marth and Captain Flacon and the only characters I am competent at.

Alright, Smash fans! In case you haven't heard, yet another new character has entered the Smash Bros. Series! Who is it?

Why.....

KING DEDEDE!!!!

WOOHOO!

I hope Marth's back.  He may not seem like much, but with that character I could essentially reign undefeated in Melee. If he's back in Brawl, I am going to be SO happy....so long as Brawl's the last Gamecube made game...which I severely doubt, and yet fervently hope...

It's true.  I beat Mandalorian Assassin once.  And I had opportunitist galore in that match.  And I was Marth.  Not sure of my thoughts of that King Dedede person... er duck.

King Dedede would be, erm....interesting....to play.  And really fun to beat up on :P  And Sev, you're not the only one to play opportunist.  I apologize if I sounded conceited earlier....Melee's the only game I can win at :)

Ah...it's not a Gamecube game. It's a Nintendo Wii game. Sorry. :(
