Yes. I agree with this idea of not needing a s/o to be happy.  I have even decied that one doesn't need mad crazy friends to be happy. I have found you can be happy with yourself, a few close and loyal friends and perhaps your family. Family is a two edge sword though.

To Si Titran....I dont think that it is necessary to haev one, however i have been pretty alone for the past 5 years. I haven't had anything serious in a while, and you feel very alone in such times. I think now i definitly need one because when im with her or when im talking to her its 100 times better then when I was home alone doing nothing the past fifve years.

Girls are most of the time to much of a bother. I dont screw around with relationships or anything like that anymore......

Yes Revan Reborn that is a healthy way to think. ( At least to me.) Those types of girls are the ones that give us cool geeky gals a bad name. I actually am friendly with one of such nature and it drives me crazy to the point where I don't want to be around her for long periods of time. And I'm not dating her.  Trust me from expeience you're better off not dating chicks like that. Relationships suck, whether you're in a good healthy one or not. They also are great at the same time but that's a long rant.

I've been single for over a year now, and I have to say, I'm quite honestly sick of being single. Having a boyfriend has never been my first priority, I've always been more concerned about myself, grades in school, work, etc. But now that I'm in college, I'm starting to feel anxious that... maybe I'll never find someone to love? See, the thing is with me, is that I NEVER like the guys who like me... I just never seem to feel anything for the men who are interested in me. Right now, I'm POSITIVE two of my friends like me, and in the past couple months I've been asked out on dates by a few others. But I'm never interested, and I hate letting them down. I must be attracted to the wrong sort of men...

I think that relationships cause too many problems.  That may be just my own skewed perception, but I don't really see any point in having a relationship, really.  I won't bother explaining, (otherwise I'd wind up writing a book) but suffice to say that I prefer the single life to the couple-life that I've seen around me.  I've had my own problems, and I've decided to skip over them by not going near anyhing that can turn into a problem.  So far, it's worked, and I'm very glad it has :)  I apologize if I've offended anyone.

Im 28 and my girl and I have been together for 15 months (longest relationship Ive ever had BTW), and its not easy. PPL around her are getting married and engaged and having babies, and we've decided to postpone any "official" engagement for after we've gotten our own apartment together and settled in and stuff. She's applying for her Masters in the fall, and Im looking for a better job while consolidating all my school loans...blah, blahblah...

Point is, focus on what you know you need to do. Life has a way of setting you on the right path, ad'ike (little ones.)

No, I didn't mean that. I meant young in general. The problem with my last BF was that we got together when I was 16 and he was 15. Then we grew up and grew apart. It totally and completely wasted all my time and energy for those three years and I very much regret it.

Hello everyone!  Its been awhile...so I thought I'd update the gf thing. The last one that I talked about pretty much quit picking up the phone... :(  Anyways, I met this girl at summer camp and later at a college camp thing and she pretty much blew me over. We have EVERYTHING in common! I know its said "Opposites attract" but we are living proof that it just isn't true. I won't start into it all now, but I can list a whole tun of stuff that we like/have in common. Its kinda weird cause I've only known her for like 3 or 4 months and she finishes all of my sentences...lol. Anywayz...she's awesome, nuff said.
