Topic: Boba Fett vs. Predator

Yo I wrote a story, anybody wanna read it??

I'd call a tie.... But my heart leans toward Boba.... with lots of cuts 'n bruises :P

I would love to read it, the Yautja are awesome, but Fett would win...barely...

I won't say who wins, but I really couldn't decide if it were up to me.  My two favorite characters.  It's hurts my head.

Those matches are completely biased. I think Fett could kill up to one Elder Yautja. Dutch was able to kill one. Not an Elder, but a Yautja.

I think it would have to depend on the Yautja. Boba may be able to take out an Elder but take out a normal Yautja easily. Dutch did it and Boba is alot better than Dutch was. Even a cop took one out.

That was no ordinary cop sai, that was Danny Glover. There's a big difference.

I'd actually like to see Boba team up with a Yautja. There was an Aliens vs Predator novel that had a woman team up with an Elder Yauntja and that story rocked. I'll have to dig up that book and read it yet again...

As to seeing the story, I'd love to :D

i will go with Boba. but i am a huge fan of the yautja/predators. But still Boba. But only just. I would like to see Boba vs Aliens tho. I wonder if a facehugger could burn thro his helmet?

Boba has to win.

i htink boba would win although it is pretty evenly matched.what-with predator's invisibility but fett has heat sensors.than again predator has the saw disks but boba has a rocket launcher.they both have whipcords of sorts.but boba does have the advantage i think

This is a fascinating concept, especially since I'm almost as big a fan of the Yautja as I am of Fett.  They are so evenly matched, but I'll give the edge to Fett because he's smarter.  The Predators are cunning, but only the Elders approach Fett's experience.  He's got enough tools to take on any of them.

No Alien's blood would ever get close enough to Boba's helmet to melt through it, but that would happen if it were exposed.

and i dont know who would win some of there weapons are pretty similer well from what i read they both got stealth generators, its either jango or boba who has wrist baldes dont remember, and both predator and fett are great hunters. It would be pretty close, I dont think even a wookie nor a jedi could take on a predator.

If it were a comic, Boba wins. The only time Predator ever beat anyone in any media was against aliens.
Judge Dredd, Batman, Superman, Tarzan, etc. They had to win, and this wouldn't be any different.

Now if it actually happened, Pred wins or it's a tie.

If it were a Jedi, the cloaking device wouldn't help. But I'd only give the advantage to a Jedi Master.

A guardian jedi could.  They can fight blind-folded, and block anything a Predator could throw at them.  It's all about the lightsaber.

Never heard of a Guardian Jedi. I'll have to look it up I guess.

I probably know more about predator here then any one else i was a pred fan way b4 fett. Sure a jedi "gaurdian" could cirtainly be lethal to a predator, the gaurdien would still never stand a chance. A predators shots can not be bounced back by a light saber the hit a target and give of a strong electric charge, some stun giving the predator extra time to take them down. play avp2 u'll see sure its against aliens and not jedi but it proves that the weapons stun and give time to attack.

Guardian Jedis use the blue sabers and focus on combat (a KOTOR reference).  Sentinal Jedis use yellow and concentrate on Force powers (like Battle Meditation).  Consular Jedis, such as Yoda, strive for a balance between the two, as the color suggests.

Those shoulder cannons can only fire so fast, and if a lightsaber can absorb/deflect Force Lightning, then any electrical shots should be easily managed.

I've played AVP and didn't notice any stunning effects on the Aliens from my blasts.  Not even from the pistol, which worked best against them.

My money's on Kenobi all the way.  :p

TG this is a good idea for a topic and a great discussion so far.  I dont know who to choose on this 1 because most people are choosing BOBA but i think everyone has underestimated the PREDATOR'S abilites because the predator is 1 tough dude.So for right now i dont know who i think would win all think about it then all post my answer lol :P

the plasma pistol stuns it doesnt shoot strieght at a target it goes for the feet, and it could not be deflected cause the energy would explode. if the predator did loose self destruct of him and his ship would definitly kill every thing within 300 miles or more depending on the rank of predator, higher the rank the bigger the explosion.

Boba has an anti-vehicle homing missile. A Yautja could not survive that.

To finish with Jedis, lightsabers can be thrown (destroying guns), and guns can be taken with the Force.  Self destruction was survived by Arnold.  Perhaps that computer could be rendered harmless somehow, after the Yautja's head is removed.

Dont underestimate a predator! sure a light saber can be thrown so what? predators got a tracking disk, disk bombs, throwing stars, stunners, nets, LAUNCHING WRIST BLADES those would be kinda hard to deflect seeing at they arent made of light energy. Just cause you like the jedi more doesnt meen they can actualy take a predator. say a predator aims for the handle of the light saber destroys it? do you think jedi still stand a chance? a sith could not a light jedi.

I didn't quite understand this: "a sith could not a light jedi."  Do you mean that a sith couldn't defeat a predator or a jedi?  I don't like the jedi more than either Fett or the predators, it's just that a powerful enough jedi, such as Kenobi or Skywalker, is the perfect fighter without needing anything more than one (specific) weapon.  I mean this without any personal bias.  Keep in mind that I'm not intending this claim to include all jedi, but only the ones focused on combat, (the Guardians), or the most accomplished of the other types.  Can you see any predator defeating Yoda, Mace Windu, or Darth Sidious?

Your point about the difficulty of defending against something other than a lightsaber blade is interesting, and I've given this a lot of consideration already.  My theory on how alternate attacks, such as kicks or strikes to the weapon's handle, penetrate a jedi's defenses is that it is a non-vital action taken when a jedi's focus is on the vital threat of the lightsaber's blade.  When blasters are fired, a jedi defends against those because they are the most threatening, but it would be child's  play to do the same against something physical such as an arrow, bullet, or any other physical profectile.  (Luke should have parried Fett's lanyard cable in ROTJ, but it looked cool that he cut it after it wrapped him.)  If the predator's Smart Disc were used against a jedi, it might get chopped in half, but I'd doubt it would hit.  This opens up the question of which of the predator's weapons, if not all of them, are able to withstand a lightsaber.  In KOTOR, there are metallic swords with a "kordova (sp?) weave" that can repel an energy blade, and they aren't always vibroblades.  I believe that vibroblades are always made of this metal.  It would be a safe assumption that the seemingly indestructable material of the predator's weaponry ("that doesn't show up on our periodic table") would have the same ability.

I don't think a strong jedi would have much trouble with anything in the predator's or Fett's arsenal except perhaps the area effect weapons that stun or blast (grenades or bombs).  It would be one hell of a fight, to be sure.

Getting back to Boba, I'd like to consider which of his weapons would be effective on a Yautja.  I think we can rule out the lanyard due its strength and the speed which it could slice the line with a wristblade.  What about the flamethrower, blaster carbine, and rocket darts?
