There's still a little ways to go, but I think the idea will work. They're based off of existing styles, available at punbb.org.

How do the colors look? The two Boba Fett styles are a set, with higher contrast; the Jango Fett is based on a lower contrast version. Should they all match? What's easiest to read, or pleasant to work from?

Boba Fett Empire is harder to read then Boba Fett Return (or whatever it was called - can't remember). You could also do a Jodo Kast colour theme, with orange etc.

I'll try to tweak it before we get any closer to letting more people in--I e-mailed every major poster, above 300 posts. Believe it or not, there's only about a dozen...since 2001.

Jodo Kast sounds good. I could use the yellow set I'm using on BFFC now.

The colors are accurate, but they seem a little bland.  Maybe the two Boba schemes could benefit by having some splashes of yellow or orange.  Or you might add a second, darker shade of green to the Empire scheme (to symbolize both the armor and the gauntlets) and a regular green to the Return scheme (so you would have both the green armor and the red gauntlets.)

We'll see. I'll have to prioritize. This board is just a fraction of what's going on with BFFC in general. Instead of multi-color boards with one option, I think we'll release this to the public with a managable set. Jodo Kast and multi-Fetts are pushing it, but good ideas. Time is a consideration--there's no one else behind the programming of this but me.

Also you don't want to make the boards too colourful as they may become hard to read. As they say less is more ;)

I definitely like the Jango Fett color scheme better.  Gray with white and blue letters.  Much easier to read for me.

I'll see what I can do to fix it before we switch the boards.

What if we kept the Jango contrast, but gave a green and red alternate, like the colors on BFFC? Any fans of the lighter gray? Change it in your profile, to check, in case we lose them for all dark w/ color "skins."

To be entirely honest, I hate the light gray color.  It's kinda icky looking.

I like the Jango color the way it is, because it's not so bright when you're reading it.  Easier on the eyes.  The other two come up for me, as Green trim with a white background, or Red trim with a white background.  This comes up as blue or white letters, with gray trim and dark gray background.  Much easier to read it that way for me.

Good. I agree. Maybe we can keep the IDEA of green and red, but I can swap it into the Jango look.

The themes are cool, but the greys are a little bland in my oppinion though... On a different note, my current favorite is the Boba Fett Empire theme.

Kudar, I'm with you, the Empire theme is IT.  You have to love a board that gives you these kinds of options.

Yeah, it is a good board system. It is definately better than I anticipated from the administrator's description.

I'm using the Jango one, but I like the Empire one too. I don't like the Return one cause the red is harder for me to read than the others, but that might be just me.

I think I am changing to RotJ... The others get really bland and boring fast. RotJ is at least a little more vibrant...

As another note, do you think you will be adding more skins besides these? Perhaps a lighter skin, and maby another that matches the website? I know a lot about CSS code myself, so perhaps I could help...

They're meant to be more minimal, but I'm certainly open to suggestions and help. BobaFett.com uses these color sets.

In development, we had higher-contrast sets, with the lighter grey. I could see that coming back if it's what you're needing.

We don't need to, just some people prefer lighter skins over darker ones. I do like these darker skins a lot though. And I do agree, there shouldn't be a lot of skins. Of course, it would add a lot of customization to the site...

Well, it's a start. Maybe there could be a clone one.

There's a handful of other custom features coming to BFFC this year. Some clues in our colophon.

Hm, interesting idea. That would be cool.

And nice, I can't wait for these new features!

There already is a red set.....well....orange, but close enough.
I like Jango or the green one. But Id love it if you could make a red and green like Sadriel_Fett said.

Or maybe someday we could have every color of the rainbow. It couldnt be THAT hard to get more colors. For Example:

Vader: Straight Black
Tattoine: tanish
Mace Windu: Purple
Bossk: Yellow, white, and green
Dengar: Dark Brown, and white

Basicly any color mixed with another could be considered a Star Wars charecter. So why not try it?
